I have 8 connections when syncing

thanks, i put in all the nodes but still not syncing. i have everything where it should be then opened the wallet after i added everything. its been about 15 minutes since i opened it but still no sync. is anyone else having this problem?

Syncs for me.

You addnoded all theaddnodes in the conf file named globalcoin.conf in your apps > Roaming > Globalcoin folder and restarted client?

I sent you a tutorial on how to do this.

can the rpc user name and password be anything i choose? i added the nodes and put in a user name and password but it still wont sync.

Something is definitely going on - no news yet someone is eating large blocks at well over 100 Satoshi when just last week nobody wanted global at 44 sats.

Well, we should find out pretty soon what's going cause it looks like it's building momentum.

Could be global is being set up for a big pump.  The price is way too stable given it's up 300%.

DigitalHoldings was talking about a new wallet, but he has been missing since June 16th, so it is up to Mr. Fista to update the wallet, but he has concerns about using DigitalHoldings images without express consent.

Folks seem to be buying.

Probably due to the subsidy dropping to a more reasonable level.  About 2.25 Million GLC have been traded/accumulated over the past 5 days or so.  That is about 41.67 days of new inventory(subsidy).

However, about 2.5 million GLC have been moved into Cryptsy as of today, so the bulls clearly have a fight on their hands.

I would prefer that the price drop about half or more from these levels for the next 4 months so I can accumulate more into the next couple subsidy drops.


I believe that one reason some of these new coins do well, is that investors/traders do not have to worry about new inventory coming online daily.  So they are markets that do not have to worry about dilution.  Globalcoin will get to a subsidy that is on par will Bitcoin subsidy in about a year, so that should have an effect on price.


I think I have pretty much talked a whale friend of mine into staking a position in GLC before the next subsidy.  That is about 4 months out, so hopefully he does, but who knows.   Globalcoin has potential, just takes a bit of time to get where it needs to be, imo.

It looks like 32.62% of all Globalcoin, or about 16.8 Million are on Cryptsy available for trade, unless folks are using it as an online wallet.

What's going on with GlobalCoin?  The price us up strong, 300%, on good volume and holding very stable yet not a single comment here.

Twitter has told me that subsidy is actually every 288,400 blocks. So the subsidy is actually at block #576,800.


This should happen at approximately 4:30 pm EST on Saturday the 26th of July.

Yes, 50 to 25.  That will reduce new coins coming online from 108,000 GLC to 54,000 GLC, daily.


That is still a large number, but that will drop once again in late December to 27,000 GLC, 13,500 in April of next year, 6,250 in August of next year, and so on going forward.  Subsidy halves approximately every 4.36 months.

 
The timeliness of subsidy reduction should bode well for valuation increases going forward, but will likely see continued reduction in price over the short term, unless we gain investor attention.


During our last run up to ~$0.05 the network was busted due to poor difficulty re-targeting.  That has been fixed, but that probably turned many people off.

Luckily, that is fixed.  We might not get back most of those folks, but the market is still in its infancy, so there will be new folks to come along.


Again, we are in a decent situation going forward.  We are over a year old and we have a top tier name.  The network is programmable, so we can fix issues if they arise.
