Hi, any news for upcomming GRIN hardfork? (cuckarooz29). It is next week.

https://forum.grin.mw/t/grin-v4-0-0-network-upgrade-hard-fork-3-july-2020/7001

Quote
On block 786,240 (on July 16 2020 around 11 PM UTC) Grin will hard fork. As such the secondary proof of work will change.

If you are mining with the secondary PoW (C29) you must upgrade your mining software to a compatible version: cuckarooz29. If you don't, your shares will be rejected.

Grin v4.0.0 is a network wide upgrade. Apart from updating their binaries in order to transact after the upgrade, users are not required to do anything. Stored grins will not be affected.

I updated to this version and am getting 25.7 sol using 1080TI (75% TDP, +175 Core, +700Mem)

is this normal? i was mining before with version 1.65 and getting around 50 sol.

Same... Speed with 1080ti dropped... I need to change something?

v2.12
+ improved performance for BeamHashIII algorithm (+2%-10% dependent on GPU)
The same story as with Cuckatoo32. Actual poolside hashrate for BeamV3 is significantly (7-10% for 1070) lower than hashrate shown in the console. While another miner displays slightly lower numbers, its effective hashrate is actually higher.

A couple of months ago I thought that it's a bug in the C32 implementation, but now all this looks more like desperate attempts to win the hashrate race.

U can't mine Ravencoin since it is kawpow which has dag file size of 2gb+ so your card can't mine it.

ah thanks. thought I can.

What can I mine with those cards? electricity costs is not an issue.

1060 3GB fails on BeamHashIII algo, while MiniZ miner performs well. Need to be fixed asap.

It seems I (and maybe more people) read the description wrong.

+ support BeamHashIII algorithm for Nvidia GPUs (for auto-switching use algo --beamhash)

+ lowered fee for Cuckatoo32 algorithm to 2%

To mine BeamV3 the -algo is BeamhashIII

I did --beamhash and this results in invalid shares.

Greetings

Wotan
Thanks, its works.

Looks like gminer auto switch for beam algo does not work on nicehash. it mines the old algo. if you mine to a pool that is passed the 777777 block and then mine on Nicehash it mines the new algo. Due to the 0 file

Leafpool works, nicehash not. Share above Target. (BeamV3)
