OK, so, I found a 3 hour gap, between block 115 and 116, so, I can only assume, that that is the gap between when the pre mine ended, and it opened to the public. So, 115, 10,000 coin blocks, were premined.
115 x 10,000 = 1,150,000 coins, were premined. That seem about right?

I got the 12th blocks so no, he started mining as soon as he posted the thread

The 3hr gap is most certainly there I just checked it.

Block 115  Time: 1368581918 (2013-05-15 01:38:38)
Block 116  Time: 1368591249 (2013-05-15 04:14:09)

Curious to know how you get 3 hours between blocks when there are lots of keen miners from the forum announcement?

GLDCoin is permanent closed? what happened here!?

No, nothing is closed.  My password was compromised.

What time, was GLD launched? And the Blockchain explorer, is that UTC?

All ABE based explorers , just do  straight UNIX time stamp conversion , unless of course they have been altered otherwise.

CCE explorers are not altered in that respect, and directly convert the UNIX timestamps in the block chains to human readable.

Well, I didn't fucking know that. I'm just a miner, and an electronics tech by trade, I'm not a goddamn computer programer. It would have been much more constructive, to post a link, to a working blockchain explorer.

I do know, that someone posted that 7 million coins were premined. How about we stop arguing about it, and one of you goddamn reputable members, who knows what the fuck they are doing, and verify if he pre mined or not, ffs.

Holy fuck, so you actually talk shit about every damn coin you happen to dislike for whoever-knows-what-reason, while you actually don't know what the flying frak you're talking about. If you're a miner and don't know shit about crypto other than that, well fuck me, keep mining peacefully and keep your mouth shut on matters you know nothing of.

I have no reason to setup a block explorer free of charge for someone who's constantly obnoxious in the forums, and not being constructive to the community himself (yes I mean you). Give me 20 LTC and I'll set it up and post proof of whether or not it was premined in the same way I did with Powercoin.

Either that, or you do it yourself. In any case keep your mouth shut about matters you don't understand. You'll be doing this forum a great service.

so, not premined, yet, the block chain explorer is unreachable. Convienent Roll Eyes

It wasn't a premine buddy.  The Explorer I think has been down for a while.  Not sure.  I gave away maybe 500K+ in GLD as bounties, donations etc.  I only have maybe 200 - 300K GLD.

Most people I bet have more than me.  I don't have a lot of hashing power, and now after some goofs bumped the difficulty up to 7, doesn't look like I will be getting much more.

You shitty little dumbfuck, you can easily setup the block explorer yourself and watch. One site being down doesn't mean shit. The whole cryptocurrency world is OPEN-SOURCE. Which means nobody is hiding anything and nobody CAN hide anything.

All,
Ive installed GIT, GIT Extensions and have forked the trunk for myself to do as was mentioned above.

We all have allot invested in this, some have time, some have money, some have both.

As was suggested my goal is to alter the source to at least do the following.

Code:
Reduce block time from 2.5 to 1 min
Reduce diff correction interval  from 3.5 days to 6 hours
Reduce coins per block from 500 to 50

I have written about 150 lines of C++ code in my life but I will give this a shot.

If any devs out there are feeling gracious and want to provide any tips, hints, pointers and or suggestions our community would be grateful.

But, there are millions of coins out there. You can't just, make some changes, and expect it to be profitable again.

What potential? It is nothing special, and it's only 10% ahead, of Powercoin, in terms of profitability.

Because someone pointed 2GH/s towards the network causing the difficulty to jump to 7, it'd be the most profitable coin on the market otherwise.

That has to do with the rate at which difficulty adjusts and it can be fixed.
Exactly, once we lower the difficulty adjustment time we should be fine.
So much trouble of trying to kill a "bad" altcoin that is going to die "on it's own"...

Listen, let me help you out here. GLD is tainted, with so much deciet, and controversy, let it die. Than, get your little cult friends together, and design a newer, better GLD from the ground up. Make the diff adjustment 4 hours or so, reduce block size to 50, for god sakes, don't start off with "Super Blocks", and make the block times, 30 seconds or so. And there you go, GLD 2.0, a Golden Future.
Stop wasting your time and energy on it's current state. If you really care about this coin, and its not just about a pump and dump, than you won't mind dumping what you have, for a loss, and going right back to the design phase.

If people will mine fucking DragonCoin, you can garrentee that they'll mine GLD 2.0, you just need some features, to make it stick.
Thank god already, you finally made atleast some sense!
The other posts were just nonsense, rage, etc...

This might not even be such a bad idea, though we might stick and fix the coin.
