Cult following or not, this coin has potential and it can be fixed, why is that so hard to admit.
What potential? It is nothing special, and it's only 10% ahead, of Powercoin, in terms of profitability.
Because someone pointed 2GH/s towards the network causing the difficulty to jump to 7, it'd be the most profitable coin on the market otherwise.
That has to do with the rate at which difficulty adjusts and it can be fixed.
