"surprises" who? LOL  Grin

Me... I am not as good at guessing uncle Ben's dance as thou.  Smiley

No man you guessed it -- who cares 83 or 85?

today's whole FOMC exercise is the #1 reason why a centrally planned printing press favors those who control it.

i guarantee you someone other than just Ben knew ahead of time what the decision was going to be.  which is precisely why the gold market popped a full 3 min before the announcement.

if there was ever a time and need for a "fair" money...

:-) I was sure. Sooner or latter $$$ have to be printing.

Note it was trending since noon... someone knew but was playing it cool?  Then panic buy?

Edit: otherwise why we need banksters ?

There are lots of ways to short fiat without becoming encumbered by other fiat.
Diversity is not a bad thing.

$85B/mo?

I bought ahead of this, but was guessing it would be insignificant tapering... 83B or something.  So upside surprise even for me.

Why is this thread so annoying me?

1. Because cypherdoc rubs it into my face?

2. Because the comparison is irrelevant?

3. Because cypherdoc will let this thread silently die if he is wrong?

4. Because cypherdoc is right?

All of them I guess.  Wink

i've alway been bearish on PMs  i was thinking about getting some at the 1500$ in the bubble, 3-6 weeks later gold line calls me and says its 1900$ LOL

gold line called em a few times after that...

PM is just no good right now, it hasn't been good for a year and it probably won't be good for a couple more...
Statements like this make me bullish pms always go vs the herd. Someone has to lose.

Since when does one internet post indicate the consensus of the herd?
