If you truly, honestly believe in crypto and its future, then any time you buy crypto is the right time (and when I say future, I mean long time future, not the imminent future). Other than that, no one can give you an exact answer because it differs from person to person. Don't look at this forum as a place where someone will tell you what to do, but rather a place where you can gather information and useful knowledge that will help you determine what's the best thing for you as an investor is.

There is nothing wrong if you want to buy both. At the time of the current decline, in my opinion, it is still vulnerable to deeper bearishness. Currently, I'm in 100% fiat, I think the bearish market is starting like 2017, now it is wise to stop investing money.
In this correction situation, we have to speculate properly and have to wait until the market becomes a bit stable.
I have just seen that the monthly MACD candle turned red today and I think we will see this bearish wedge during a couple of months.
Now I'm waiting for the ending of this bearish wedge and will start buying when significant stability appears again.

We are currently in a bear market and I personally prefer to divide the portion if I want to buy now...in current condition if i have more money to invest in bitcoin and ethereum then i will buy 60% on bitcoin and 40% on ethereum. both will definitely return to ATH so don't waste your chance now.
I think waiting for the right time is not right now, but if you are impatient, maybe now is the time.
I'm sure maybe in a few weeks btc will go down again.

Do you have money lying around? Can you afford to lose all your investment that you put on bitcoin and ethereum? Then yes, this dip is a good opportunity to buy bitcoin and ether. If it is going to be a small investment, then buy bitcoin. The ethereum network fee is too high and it is not worth buying few dollars of ethereum unless you aren't planning to move them from an exchange. If you are going to invest some good amount of money, then invest in both and hold them for long term. The price is almost half from the previous ATH. Make use of this opportunity to invest as much as you can.
The problem is not about having a nice entry point to buy the issue is will the buyer be disciplined enough to hold on even when the price depreciate further. Crypto investment comes with lots of unpredictable surprise. I will say buy If only you can hold no matter what turns out in the market. I would rather advice if you have emotional issues it's better to buy when the market turns bullish so you can stay on the profit lane.
It's the best time unless the price drops even more. But I expect a rise in a few months time. Especially for ETH when it goes POS.

Looks like the dump is not over yet. Bitcoin now is at $35k, and as bitcoin continues to struggle, we will see the cheap altcoins flashing with some heavy losses daily. It's not good for those weak hands but good for those who accumulate. From the current price, I think $20k + is just waiting and big altcoins dump cannot be prevented from happening.

The decision of when to buy rests on the person who is making the purchase as it would depend on a matter of factors; Someone who is buying in for the long term hodl does not bother about short term price changes and believes that in 10+ years the value is going is to much higher.
Someone who is not buying for the long term are usually more picky about when to buy and would not want to purchase when the price is on the way down. This is much more risky and would require some technical analysis and some luck as well.

Current prices are really cheap when compared to it's ATH levels. This is indeed a good time to buy according to me.
But that doesn't mean that the price won't fall further. It's all just speculation and we can never predict a good time to buy.
If you are indeed going in long term as you say in your posts then this is definitely a good time to enter and buying some BTC and ETH sounds like a good idea to me.
But make sure you save at least 30% of the amount you are going to invest in some stable coin so that if the prices fall further then you can buy some more.
I agree that both BTC and ETH are worth buying, because they both perform great. I prefer to invest in both, because it's too focused on one coin
in my opinion the profit generated will not be maximized. But because until now Bitcoin is indeed the best in the crypto world, the percentage of
capital used to buy BTC should be bigger. I also always keep some of the capital I have in stable coins, to prepare for the worst case scenario
if the market goes back lower, I can still buy more. Even though BTC and ETH are potential coins, doesn't mean it's easy to make a profit.

I will choose to buy bitcoin instead of ethereum, although I know that ethereum can increase higher. But if we compare it with bitcoin, ethereum can not beat it. Buying bitcoin is more than enough to hold so we do not have to feel difficult to monitor the price but many people will buy both bitcoin and ethereum because those coins can give them a big return in the next bull run. We do not know when this dips over so we can try to buy for some amount and divide our buy order into many parts as that can help us to get bitcoin at many low price ranges.

It really depends on your instinct if you can handle such losses that you can’t control. Both BTC and ETH are subjected to susbstantial risks and price cannot be predicted without warning. I was planning to do DCA every month for BTC, which means no matter what the price is, I should be buying and I’m aware of the risks. I can say both BTC and ETH are great long-term coins to buy and hold if you are a long term thinker.

I think most old school investors here prefer to have Bitcoin in their wallet and hold on it as compare to Ethereum. Nothing against Vitalik and his invention, but Bitcoin is the prime mover in crypto no matter what they say.
So for me, I will stay with BTC, and since we are in a bear market now, it's better to buy and fatten your wallet and do the old but very effecting HODL strategy.

Never get it to doubt as these two coins are of the best cons in crypto market, to buy them at this price is somewhat a huge opportunity that we don't need to miss. Were not going to wait until the last drop. Since we don't know what gonna happen, it was best to take this time.
Buying at $38k(BTC) and then waiting for the recovery. BUY, HOLD, and SELL...We did exactly what we needed.
