First of all trusting everyone blindly is not a good idea so I will suggest that hear the ideas of everyone but do what you think that it is right because prediction doesn't always right. I think that people should always think that there is not a constant time for bitcoin and in my opinion every single moment is the right time to invest in bitcoin because slight decrease cannot impact the future price as its really trustworthy coin.

Yes it's true that market is volatile but after each dump there is a highest pump in bitcoin price so we should not loss our hope and also we should think that previous year was not good so the present and future will be fruitful for all holders. Don't wait more and I will suggest that put money into bitcoin and then be free because in few years it will definitely gives you highest profit.

Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?
Personally, I don't think the market will fall back easily. The price of 16k - 20k $ is probably too good to buy but most probably missed it. We can rejoice with each person's cumulative buying plans that have paid off. and this will continue to be done with built discipline, looks like price will swing around $28k test level and will return to large range 35k$-40k. Phased planning for cumulative buying is probably the best plan for me right now.

I believe OP is simply asking that from where price is right now, Do BTC is likely to go lower first in 16K and have a retracement before going higher or it would go directly higher impulsively up to 40K.
The answer is simple. WAIT.
If you are not sure of what is direction going higher or lower, then simply wait before engaging.

When everything is clear to you and you have built your own conviction, then enter a trade according to that analysis and capitulate the move.

Remember, Trading and investing is 10% buying selling/ 90% waiting. That's is why 90% lose, because they cannot afford to wait. There is more advantage of waiting and that is preserving your capital.
It's okay to not know everything. If there's nothing clear or sure. Wait and demand for more information in the marketplace.

You are a beginner, and your faith in Bitcoin is not strong. You don't know what you actually want, or, shall I say, you don't have any decisions of your own.

There is a saying, "No time is ever too late." Anytime one has the money and decides to invest, that's the right time for the person. We don't need to wait for 12k, or 13k, or 20k, because those figures might never be seen. The more we wait for those price falls, the more likely we are to see a price pump. The low price you see today might never be seen again. Anyone who wants to buy and hodl BTC should actually not be thinking about price; most times, it delays the decision to invest.

If you actually want to invest in Bitcoin, I will advise you to buy when you have the money you are willing to risk; don't invest what you can't afford to lose. We know no money is considered useless or worthless, but always invest in something that won't hurt you the most if things don't actually go in your favor.

I also want to add, that if you already have the convictions right. Have also a plan for risk management. That would save you a lot of money and mental stress. Consider and always accept the risk. DONT FOMO in. Bitcoin will continue to go higher and lower forever. You won't miss any. So don't miss your self FOMOing in every price moves. hope this is clear to you and everyone.

Personally I think more likely to move to $40K, possibly even $50K this year, rather than $12K to $16K. Purely because it's closer to $40K than $16K right now.

As others have said in this thread, although it seems unlikely for price to return to the lows or make new lows, it remains a possibility. This is also the "deal" with investing in Bitcoin, you at minimum have to willing for price to drop by -50% in order to benefit from any 100%+ increases. People look back and think it must of have been easy to invest at $6K back in 2018 or $300 in 2014, but both of those good prices came with the 50% drops before the significant increases, hence many did not invest after all. To put it simply, if you're not able to stomach considerable price swings, then investing in Bitcoin likely isn't for you.

Today the price dropped again below $30k, when the price is in the $30k area I often hear people will buy more when the price drops below $30k, if we don't buy now then we will be left behind and there is no chance to buy again cheap.

Nobody knows if bitcoin will continue to go up to $40k or drop to $16k, if anyone knows, they got rich, and I bet they won't share that with you either. There isn't a single expert in this market, you don't have to trust anyone, bitcoin is unpredictable.
Investing in bitcoin means we need to take risks, and we want to get profit it takes time. You can invest in bitcoin at any time, as long as you are ready. I mean, you need to have a clear plan, you can also buy bitcoin at the current price as long as the buy price is still lower than your sell price, then you can buy right away.

No investors and experts are right in guessing a forecast.
Keep playing with the idea and just wait for Bitcoin to come back at $16k – $17k. LOL
We will continue to prepare other plans if Bitcoin will increase after April.

You can use the analysis provided by the investor you mean as material to strengthen the personal analysis that we are preparing in a plan.
If you continue to maintain the strategy as conveyed by the investor you meant above in investing, sorry, you are not worthy yet.

thanks in advance.
yes. You're welcome.

Deciding when is the right time to enter the bitcoin market can be difficult and highly subjective. Some investors may find the current $30k price cheap enough to enter the market, while others may choose to wait for the price to drop even lower as you say. But keep in mind that the price of bitcoin is very volatile and can change drastically in a short time, therefore be wise in making decisions, don't regret it later because the price of bitcoin continues to rise.

I don't think you need to wait for the BTC price to drop, then you buy btc. As a matter of fact, we are fortunate that the bitcoin price is currently under $50k. Moreover, many predict that there will be a halving next year in 2024, therefore waiting for prices to fall again, in my opinion, is a waste of time.

In cryptocurrency industry we do experience bear market  and bull run but it is always hard for people to know when the bear market is actually going to over. So thinking that Bitcoin may drop to $12k or $16k whatever, I don't think nobody can say so. Sometimes those people predicting the price Bitcoin are just predicting base experience on the Bitcoin history;means what have been often occurring in existence of Bitcoin and is that the pattern can be change.

It is wise to pace the market, but at the moment I won't advise you to hold off until the price of Bitcoin reaches the level you want it to because it might never reach that level. To be on the safe side, divide the money you intend to invest in Bitcoin into two parts, buy some of it, and then wait to buy more of it if the price can fall to your desired level.

The current state of Bitcoin does not at all suggest that the price of Bitcoin can fall back to 12-16k. the lowest price of Bitcoin fell to 15K and this was the last drop of Bitcoin in this year in my eyes. many people said that Bitcoin price will drop to 12K but that didn't happen Bitcoin went up to 30K. when the price of Bitcoin dropped to 15k there was a chance to go to 12k but now that seems unlikely. If you plan to invest based on other people's words then you will not gain anything good from crypto. you have to do your own research and then plan to invest. when bitcoin was at 15-16k people said that bitcoin price will fall below 12k many people stopped investing in bitcoin and now bitcoin has gone up from 15k to 30k which is 100% pump. and those who refrained from investing then are now regretting it

If you keep listening to such people you will end up doing nothing, those people don't know what they are doing and it's going on around a circle, when we are in a bear market, people will start screaming for 5,000$ Bitcoin and when Bull market begins they will start screaming for 100k to 1 million per Bitcoin, do not listen to them.

The Market condition that we are presently in is what you will use to decide whether to buy or sell, right now we are in a bear market, and trust me, a bear market is where you should start buying Bitcoin, you don't have to buy all at once, just buy some this month and repeat the same thing in the next month.

Look around, Bitcoin hasn't made a new low since 15,000$, and those who are waiting for 10,000$ Bitcoin have missed a good buying opportunity, if they are not buying at 28k right now they will buy when Bitcoin gets to 50,000$.

Who told you? No expert or anyone can predict bitcoin. What you hear from them is just their silly thoughts. If you don't buy now then I think you will buy bitcoin for $40k. Whether you want to buy bitcoin for $30k or $40k is up to you.

I don't think, the price of Bitcoin will drop down in this season but you can use this period to buy and hold because the price of Bitcoin is about to reach $40,000 for those that are willing to sell to get ready for massive bullish any moment from this week. Since the price has increased to $35,432 showed that it will be difficult for investors to experience $12,000 or 16,000 in this year 2023, Because the price of Bitcoin has started displaying some positive things that made many investors to believed that this year will not be like last year that affected long term investors and short term investors profits negatively in the market.

It feels as if we're giving you financial advice by saying what we feel. Honestly, no time is the best time is what most people will tell you, and that's the truth. You just have to make that conscious decision of buying into bitcoin and accepting that it may take a while to make a profit or even breakeven, but it will always happen. We have historical price charts that you can refer to on the past movement of bitcoin prices, and you'll see that it always has this ability to push past higher highs and reaching a new ATH. Again, it may take some time, but it will eventually get you there.

Everyone wishes that the price of BTC reaches +$40,000 but currently, we are all just speculating. Currently, the price of BTC moves in a direction where it increases short-term. As the price moves in this kind of trend, it is highly advisable that you invest for short-term in order to maximize this kind of price increase.

Generally, the best time to invest in BTC is the time when you have the additional resources for it. Treat it as something that cannot be recovered for the meantime but also as an asset that its price increases overtime in the market.

It will be better you do your analysis yourself to know if bitcoin price is going to drop or pump, you don't have to follow what people are saying, don't be suprise those people saying bitcoin will drop to 12-16k are already holding bitcoin, you are waiting for bitcoin to dump. When bitcoin was at $16k why didn't you buy then or u were expecting the price to drop to $5k? Just do your analysis so that you will know the next step your are going to take.

Sometimes, based on the questions asked most times by members I would be asking myself f truly thee set of people are here with us or they just on and off any they feel like. Looking at this question one would where was OP when the bitcoin price went below $17k which was the right time to accumulate more bitcoin but OP was seating on the fence watching and speculating as to whether to buy or not. Now it has dawned on OP that OP is confused of what to do. I said confused because looking at the question asked, one would wonder if it was a new bie asking but looking at OPs account it does not look like a newbie account but rather a who has been here for some time.
OP forget about the speculations because if you should follow it you might likely get confused. Just focus on purchasing in fractions and holding it for a longer time. Then you would make good profits from your long term holding.

Investing at the low bottom will decrease the risk. This means when we invest at the bottom we'll have an advantage to book the profit at the earliest. The same isn't possible with other forms of investment. When we buy at an increased price the risk used to be high. Anyhow looking at the upcoming halving it is good to spend following dollar cost average system for the purchase of bitcoin than waiting for the down price.

Either.
No one really knows what it will be exactly for the next months to come. But decide for yourself if you're in this market for a long time then should you buy.
But if not then wait for some more satisfying buying price before you get in because it's also good to buy at that cheap price when you think they're cheap than in the past.
Just to give you an idea of where we're heading, many are positive that the halving will make the price of bitcoin better and higher and most likely that might come next year or by 2025. If you think that you're ok with that quite long of wait then buy. Or else, DCA is the key on your worry.

This is a topic I've become familiar with. Perhaps if you knew how to use the search button, it would have by some means made it unnecessary for you to have create this thread.

Either ways, bitcoin has been on the uptrend lately to the amusement of everyone. It is definitely some anticipated feedback from the market after a long lasting bear market. As much as we would like to believe that the market is yet to fully recover from the bears, there don't seem to be a way that the market will dump up go the predicted $12k - 16k. That's way too low and if your waiting on that at OP,  then your in to wait on a forever time.

Maybe that $40k high won't be reached anytime soon but, we would get there.
