Google Play store bans 8 crypto mining application which  describe below ..

BitFunds - Crypto Cloud Mining

Bitcoin Miner - Cloud Mining

Bitcoin (BTC) - Pool Mining Cloud Wallet

Crypto Holic - Bitcoin Cloud Mining

Daily Bitcoin Rewards - Cloud Based Mining System

Bitcoin 2021

MineBit Pro - Crypto Cloud Mining & btc miner

Ethereum (ETH) - Pool Mining Cloud

Please don't use this apps any more...

Yay, Google to the rescue. Can you imagine? “Despite these apps not being associated with cloud-mining operations or having any cryptocurrency-mining features, some of these apps prompt users to pay for increased cryptocurrency-mining capabilities via the apps’ in-app billing systems that range from $14.99 to as high as $189.99,”. I wonder how many persons have fallen for this scam. I just read that “there over 120 fake cryptocurrency mining apps still available”. This is scary.

This is not the first time I have heard that Google banned some mining apps on playstore, they should not think twice before they ban those apps because how can bitcoin be mined on phone, it is complete no possible. While most of them are cloud mining apps which is a way to scam people.

But I am still wondering why CryptoTab has not be banned when it is among them
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pro.cryptotab.android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lite.cryptotab.android

All cloud mining apps are fake, they should all be banned.

There are still tons of them out and about in the Google Playstore. These apps are getting approved without a tough screening on what the app does and whether or not there are potential security risks with the app. Google just cares about the metrics and the numbers that they are getting on their marketplace, and that is something that is bad with their Playstore. Either way, I'm not surprised that a lot of apps are being published albeit them being useless or have something suspicious in them. Google Ads allow obvious scam ads, what more on apps that are not properly screened and filtered.

The rate at which apps get added on Playstore makes me wonder if the apps actually go through vetting before there are added. I'm always skeptical downloading apps on Playstore this day because of the numerous reported alleged scam apps there, except I go through the website of the said company. One can't be too careful enough as not to fall prey to fraudulent devs. It's good a thing that playstore on its own took the initiative to remove those apps, and I believe more should be fished out to further strengthen the once confidence users had in Playstore. BTW, who still does cloud mining?

This is a very good step taken by Google, because Google has helped beginners who are just learning about bitcoin like me, so as not to be deceived by those who are greedy, Crypto applications that are reported to be fraudulent include mining services, such as BitFunds, Bitcoin Miner, Prizes Daily Bitcoin, Crypto Holic, MineBit Pro, Bitcoin 2021, and Ethereum — Pool Mining Cloud. This list also includes a crypto wallet service called Bitcoin — Pool Mining Cloud Wallet.

A much-needed step forward from Google. There are still a bunch of scam ads that are running out there that people are falling for daily.  They should be ramping up their crypto experts in the marketing area and be taking a much harder look at some of these ads that are blatantly coying legitimate services just to scam people.
Totally agree, they need to take this kind of action to clean their platform of scam applications, and it's going to be a lot of cleaning, I think that the apps that they've banned is just a tip of the proverbial iceberg because I am sure that there's more than meets the eye in this one.

It's good that they're trying to protect users by banning malicious apps. It's probably a part of the policy that goes far beyond cryptocurrencies and mining, the one that bans any scamming or hugely misleading apps out there. This doesn't mean that Google is attacking Bitcoin, crypto mining or anything like that, it's just a reasonable step they're taking towards making their platform more trustworthy. And judging from the article that was linked by TalkStar, it's only a small part of dozens of similar fraudulent applications that are still available on Play Store.

There was no need to use them in the first place.

...

Don't keep your hopes up that Google will actually do more on stopping these malicious apps from getting into their platform. It will take a lot of reports from third party and the community before they act. There are still many fake apps there like what's reported in the article posted by TalkStar.

Google team have decided to ban all these apps because they were charging fees for illegitimate cloud mining service. I have also read the news on Cointelegraph about it and they clearly mentioned that these apps were forcing their users to watch paid ads and paying for clod mining service which doesn't exist. Its not put any effect on legal crypto services who have their official app on play store.

Whoever has a little bit of knowledge of mining, at least if they know the rules of mining, will never use such cloud mining apps. Because they can immediately say that these apps are fake and possibly contain malware. Because cloud mining is mainly ponzi scams. They ask you to invest and promise to give you a return against your deposit. All rules are same as ponzi but in the disguise of cloud mining.

I am happy that Google has finally taken some action agains these fake apps. They should have done it earlier.

It's good that they've finally taken this action against this cloud mining apps which is just another term for scam apps that doesn't really yield anything except waste your time and steal your money when you finally try to cash out on the supposed mined bitcoin's. I do hope that more of this apps gets banned by Google in the near future.
