Prior to this google had banned all cryptocurrency ads on their platform back in 2018.  I wonder what makes the Google platform to change their views and make a new policy accepting NFT ads.  Any thought?
Probably those in charge of Googles advertisement policy were not sure how to handle the NFT fever, since many of those projects did not nave any meaningful value and many also were scams, so they went safe and tried to reduce the exposure to scams in their ad service.

They now may have realized that the NFT boom has come to an end and the projects which have ultimately survive the fall are most likely legitimate. I liked Axie Infinity and I wished they did not go all in advertising their game as play-to-earn and focused in the fun mechanics.
Or maybe they have now a way to lessen the scam advertisement, even though you can really eliminate or avoid it 100%, but at least maybe they already have a solution for it.
For sure, one of the reasons why they banned it in their advertisement before is because of lot of scams especially if it's on bull market, scammers during that season are very active.

No, I doubt it.
YouTube which is obviously property of Google has continued to have problem with account theft, in order to push those stupid Crypto Duplication/give away scams in their platform. I mean, they are so obvious and outrageous and yet there was a time they could be up for hours and hours and the Google team would do nothing about it.

So, it is very unlikely they found a way to filter scams completely, such thing would require Google to hire a special team to analyze project individually before allowind them to advertise with them, such thing would require money and resources they won't be willing to invest in the users security.

They simply want more to grab money from, unfortunately.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Very disappointed to see that Google has planned to allow NFT ads to their platform. I am sure they will stop it in couple of months when they will see the scams rising and people are laundering money using NFTs.

NFTs should be eradicated from the crypto market as it is dead already. It is probably the quickest death of trend I have ever seen in crypto market. Just useless and doesn't add any value.
I don't know how Google took this step whether they saw an increase in its traffic or there is another reason behind accepting NFT ads in the middle of this month? Obviously we all know that NFTs are now dead there is no longer much interest as long as Google accepts these ads there is fraud will increase day by day.

Some people still hold NFTs maybe because they bought high now there is no value.
Should avoid this trend is dead last year and there is no more profit in NFT except some unclear projects still adopt NFT.

Why do I feel that the change in terms of Google in accepting NFT ads is that they realized that they are missing out on profit?   I believe all these changes in terms is driven by their study that they were losing revenue when they decided to cut off cryptocurrency way back 2018, they had some changes in 2021 if I am not mistaken where they allowed the advertisements of exchanges that is operating in the US.  And since once upon a time, NFT was booming, they probably had this feasibility study on the possible revenue if they decided to allow NFT ads.  At the end of the day, this action of Google is all about profit and I hope Google will be filtering NFT projects and disregard scam NFT projects.
For sure that there's relation to their loss of revenue during the peak of the NFTs. It isn't that late after all so they join the bandwagon.

Was it them as well that has banned a lot of ads related to ICOs and crypto? If so, they truly have missed a lot from that moment when they're not serious about it.

Maybe they're also going to launch a project that's related to NFT and they're just trying to get the setting properly before they launch it.

They probably just want to generate more revenue by clarifying this NFT policy. Too bad it's probably two years late though, there's so much less NFT projects who can spend big money on advertising right now compared to two years ago during the peak bull run.

And starting with NFT, google may again start accepting all sorts of crypto ads in the near future.
Legit exchanges & wallets, sure. But things like DeFi which has less regulation clarity won't get accepted by mainstream advertisers like Google anytime soon. Even traditional finance products and services have to comply with tons of policies, and some of the riskier products, e.g. binary options trading, are straight out not allowed.

Google banned crypto ads without much analysis and now as they are loosing a large amount of revenue to the competitors, they enabled NFT ads to tap on the profit stream. Google with google search and Youtube still have no comparable competitors. Elon musks X is trying to compete with everything at the moment but they won't replace youtube anytime soon. And starting with NFT, google may again start accepting all sorts of crypto ads in the near future.

They've probably noticed how NFTs are becoming a big thing and how they're not just collectibles, but they can offer unique experiences. Take NFT games, for instance – they're changing the game in terms of ownership and rewards. So, it makes sense for Google to want to back this kind of innovation, plus it's a win-win with the revenue from these ads.

This is possible but at the same time they are underestimating scammers, it is obvious they do not have the personal to manually review every single ad they serve to those using their services, and even if they put special attention to NFTs ads there are still bound to be a lot of scam ads that will go unnoticed, so Google will allow scammers to have access to many more victims thanks to this new policy, as I am sure scammers are already preparing all their arsenal of weapons to abuse this new policy as much as possible.

The world's view of the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies differed from 2018 not to mention the NFT Games, which some see as the new representation of digital art and it encourages culture, arts and drawing, the criteria here will be lighter and high demand and there are no organizational complications compared to cryptocurrencies that always need a license and adhere to the rules of fighting money laundering.

This news is bad because these NFT companies will only strive in ads and will lead to a bad reputation about cryptocurrencies.I hope to see the day that Google accept the bitcoin as a way to conduct payments instead of ads.

They are reviving a dying hype. NFTs reached their peak a long time ago but they cannot preserve it because of the expensive prices they put on every NFT.
Maybe a group of NFT owners, holders, and projects helped each other to push this through or paid Google for it to happen. When did we see someone talking about NFT now? I guess only those who own it are the ones active to promote it because they need the value of their NFT to keep on growing.
But the truth is, there isn't much who took the bait and bought this kind of platform. If it's art then I'd rather buy the physical ones, if it's sports idols then I'd rather buy the rare cards where at least I have something to hold onto.
I am sure Google received something for them to push it like this while they didn't let cryptocurrencies be advertised before.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
I will not be surprised if I will see phishing sites that're related to NFT's after they start accepting NFT ads.
Google is not doing anything to prevent these phishing sites to go on top, and I know that we've seen so many sites at the top already especially sites that's related to cryptocurrencies.

Anyway, nothing surprising here knowing that the NFT hype is over already. All of the NFT's value right now went down significantly, and I don't almost hear them being spoke online. In the forum, nobody talks about it already unlike the time where it's hype. People here are always talking about NFT's, NFT's, and more NFT's. Now almost nobody is speaking about NFT's anymore. I don't know the exact reason why Google allowed NFT ads, but hey... it's a business, and they'll earn from it so... yeah.

Well Google still a business. With the trend made by nfts surely they will allow such ads on their platform as this could make a lot of profits for them. Not only Google but any platform especially social media like x, facebook, reddit those are gonna be an nft spam hubs. I just hope that they could be more strict that nft projects or clients would be legit as possible cause if a non nft user encounter something for first time and its a scammer then they are allowing such user to abuse their legality for quick moneys.

I’ve noticed advertising as a whole online is getting a lot more lenient on what they will allow. Lately I’ve been seeing pornographic ads on my Facebook timeline even. With all the things they censor, it’s pretty crazy what they decide to let through. Anyway, hopefully at some point this newfound leniency will find it’s way to their YouTube platform.

Even in my twitter and instagram, I was shock to see some porno ads as well or even contents that I'm not interested. But in this case, 50/50 for me. I mean yeah it could be good for the overall crypto market, and obviously Google is going to make money out of the ads.

But we all know how smart this hackers are, sooner or later we will see NFT ads that are totally scam, or at least it looks like legit because it copy the original site. And it might be too late that you realized that you have fallen for the trick from this scammers and criminals.

Isn't it idk, late? Are nft games still a thing? I know a lot of devs are probably trying it out, hoping to get one or two hits to get rich quickly, but I don't think there that relevant on the scene anymore. I'd be surprised if one or two games ever held a constant player base of more than say 1k or so.

Well in general I don't think it'd change things up. I mean it's technically just a subscription based game or a one time pay type in essence,  but a lot worse in terms of gameplay.

Google was being very harsh since a few years ago to the anything related to the crypto. It seems like that google was changing its perspective to the crypto slowly but surely. People are massively using crypto even paypal has introduced its own stable token which was helping the addoption for cryptocurrency. Even though google was allowing it but it still scares me. I meant there have been also so many ponzi scheme games like wemix. So, that depends on what kind of NFT games gonna be accepted by google to do advertising on its platform.

Google shall also care to stricter its advertising. The proliferation of fraudulent NFTs presents an opportunity for malicious links to spread.
It's a good moving from google but this is not directly affecting NFT related games.

Where Digital Assets Meet Real Life Value!
Rather than advertisements that have negative and unclear nuances, it's better for NFT. Yes. 2018 was the beginning of the rise of NFT, namely the world of art and entertainment, and this can be considered as one of the digital-based investments also in terms of art. I think they also read trends and one of them is NFT for advertising. We know that the most promising source of income for a platform is advertising, and this potential is the main impetus for Google itself, besides the demand from users as well.
