I concur because Bitcoin is the rave of the moment. This is a very good indication for the coin as more and more people are getting to know about Bitcoin and eventually get involved in its trading or buying to hold.

Almost everyone in this world knows about gold as it is traditional investment asset which people are using since years but Bitcoin is a modern form of currency so people are not having much knowledge about it.Google search is showing that more people are searching for Bitcoin than gold,the main reason for it can be the fact that 2017 was the year for Bitcoin. Bitcoin was in news for many different reasons which made people to search about it .One more reason can be it's rising price which is attracting people towards it and they want to know more about it which is increasing the number of searches for it on google.

Good explanation. Gold is only searched by investors, traders and people who need to sell because they need urgent money.
Bitcoin is still unknown for most people, so the first thing they do if you wanna know something more about it is to search on google. Hopefully they will find this forum or other meaningful resources and not crappy or negative articles.

its of no surprise actually, gold exist for than 1000 years and is being popular metal among everyone,bitcoin is new technology as compare to gold and their many aspects of it to learn about,like how the thing works,what its current market,investment in bitcoin and whole blockchain,there so much to learn about so people will search about what is new and requires some information before application.

People are looking towards bitcoins more as commodity it means, in that case the gold is lagging, but where in some countries gold ornaments is the fashion/status symbol bitcoins can not dominate gold or gold bonds.

I do not remember that specially search some themes about gold. But I often search about bitcoin and other crypto news. Therefore it is not surprising.

It just means that everyone knows about gold these days and there are lots of people who want to know about Bitcoin. If you take gold as jewellery then I dont think there will be a good comparison between gold and bitcoin.

about bitcoin on google is because it is a new trend, more people wants to know about it but it
doesn't mean that they are going to invest on it right away. They might just want to know the
meaning of bitcoin because they are hearing it everywhere.

Since bitcoin has been trending due to lot of users earning more than bitcoin so it is the reason why people has been interested more in bitcoin rather than in gold which the price is controlled by the government unlike the bitcoin which the value depends on the users since its supply is fixed and the demand is rapidly increasing so the tendency is the price is continuously increasing. This was always going to happen Bitcoin is making waves, plus gold now hardly give any returns, but Bitcoin gives amazing returns, plus gold is static, hard to move and cash out is such a big problem, plus gold was brought by old people a lot, and Bitcoin is bought by youngster's which definitely outshines the old. So not surprising to read this.

Compared to the past the price of bitcoin keeps on increasing. As a part the popularity too is counting based on the technology implementation getting widened. Gold had lost its importance compared to the past days which is completely upon the growing users trust though it's a virtual asset.

As what i expected right now bitcoin are much more popular in gold right now. We all know that it's the reflect of bitcoin price that's why many people's are more likely have interestedon buying bitcoin than gold haha funny. However, bitcoin takes it all and have all the eyes of the people because of it's freaking price!

A search doesn't mean a translate to bitcoin buying. Yes, I would have to agree that bitcoin searches lately is up however, people are just curious as to what it really does as opposed to gold who we already know is an asset and act as an hedge. Even it you do look at how a country searches about bitcoin, you can see that even in Africa, many people are searching for it. Does it mean that in Africa more people are buying? No. Although is good to know that people are getting into bitcoin and its getting a lot of attention lately. But it doesn't have any correlation on getting and buying bitcoins.

Because people do not understand bitcoin, people want to know bitcoin, bitcoin more and more attention globally, more and more people know bitcoin. Bitcoin era will come. 
people is interesting with bitcoin because in the ads said bitcoin is a new way to make money or double your money in a short time. and in youtube, there is many channel video showing about how to mining bitcoin and the bitcoin price from time to time so people is attracted to bitcoin and tried to buy bitcoin as their investment.
they already know gold but bitcoin is something new to them and they really want to know by reading, learning, buying, selling bitcoin at any price and until now, I think many people want to know more about bitcoin.
