It is, indeed. That means people favor bitcoin over gold. However, that might be because people already do know about gold and they need to know about bitcoin. That is why they googled it. Added to that, you can ask anyone about gold and they will give you information.

I think practicly everything has been searched more than gold, for what is there to know more about gold? Nothing, it's just gold. This has been the case since it has been known. But bitcoin cannot be grasped that easily, one needs to read up a lot about it and keep up with it's evolvement through forks and such. Not everyone is able to understand it even, so ofcourse it has been searched more.

I think that's perfectly normal. Gold is well known for hundreds of years, and although it is still a good and stable store of value source, it's not easy to be used by most people. People already know gold, so they don't really need to search for it, and only big investors actually purchase it as an investment. Most of us don't really have enough money to buy it, and pay the fees needed to keep it safe in a gold storage facility or bank or anything like that.
As for bitcoin, it's relatively recent, so as people hear about it, they begun to google it to get more information. Hopefully those searching for it, will understand that this is a real great opportunity to invest for the future, and much easier to do than to invest in gold.

Yes new things that raise so high and produce profit tend to attract people to find out what is this thing?And true google have similar answer according to this such questions what rate is 1 bitcoin to their local currency (wow alot), or where can I get it and voila much new member here

Bitcoin is a new form of currency for most of the people. So it is their curiosity to know more about Bitcoin. On the other hand everyone is familiar with gold as it is being used since ancient times.People are getting more interested about it due to the number of features it provides so they are searching for it more .This is the reason due to which Google is showing more people searching for Bitcoin than gold.

bitcoin is something new and little known...gold - all understood...therefore naturally people are more interested in bitcoin to understand it better...but this doesn't mean that people will take their investments out of gold and invest in bitcoin

I have never tried to see how popular those words are in google, will try keyword planner to see current results. Also it will be popular to see number of searches of word "Blockchain" because this year it was massive in developing, I mean Bitfury was working on blockchain technologies + I read here one thread where dubai was working on integrating blockchain or something similar. I hope number of Bitcoin searches will grow every year like price rises everytime.

Gold is used to maintain only economic stability.Everbody knows about this,we don't need google search to understand what is this .gold is no longer used as a primary form of currency in developed nations,so bitcoin contains difficult structure( people are trying to understand everything about bitcoin,and then they use google search, and what is gold is not as hard to understand as bitcoin) and gold as a currency not because its popular for its beauty.

Ofcourse,many people searching bitcoin than gold because it is easy to find bitcoin,just using your cellphone,tablet,computer you can get bitcoin unlike gold its difficult to find it.On few can have it but in bitcoin anyone can have it.

If you ask me, this doesn't mean anything. More people are interested in Bitcoins. But there is no guarantee that all of them are collecting Bitcoins at this point of time, or making plans to invest in Bitcoins in the future. Anyway, I am glad about one thing. Now most of the coverage about Bitcoin in the mainstream media is positive.

Maybe because bitcoin prices are much more expensive than gold prices, therefore many people are busy looking for bitcoin rather than gold and maybe they already have a lot of gold stored in his house.
