In my opinion, if google accepts ads for bitcoin, it is a good sign, currently bitcoin is still unknown to many people and does not understand well. I hope that through google they will help more people know and understand bitcoin better,  attract investment capital and help bitcoin grow further.

That's funny how these companies keep changing their mind all the time! Not sure who drives the decision really? Whether it's political changes, companies internal policies or changes as per the world's requirement ?

They should have never banned the crypto ads in the first place because their most of the revenue can come from the Crypto Market only. With the modernisation of transaction system and blockchain development they should have caught the interesting business model with it's revenue model.

Google's latest ban on Bitcoin advertisement wasn't of much help actually. Because frauds were still finding a way to advertise their campaigns and trick people into them. I was thinking that it was going to be good to ban them but it wasn't. So, it is a good decision that Google starts to let the ads again.
people who are deceived by scammer ads are those who are not vigilant and do not do enough research and want to get a return of money many times over from the capital spent. Google ads help crypto companies to be able to advertise their projects more widely. about the scammer it's just a problem that can be solved. Google won't let scammers easily publish ads. google knows what they have to do. so don't worry.

I have seen many scam sites being advertise on Google ads. One possible reason for this could be that google can't do screening all times throughly as many sites look legit generally.
Anyways this does not mean that google should disable Google ads for crypto completely. We also need to understand that sites which are being showed in Google ads, may not be fully trusted ones.

Isn't this not new news anymore?
Before Google was indeed a tire related to Cryptocurrency because of the many scams feared advertised on Google.
But a few months ago Google was updating that they allowed Cryptocurrency ads and also did not mind anymore. Of course there are a number of things that are notes for those who want to advertise on Google for the sake of security and avoid scams.
They are ON and OFF to crypto ads due to some scamming site appears. This new opening somewhat gives another chance for the scammer to spread again but I think there is a strong restriction and moderations of what we send. Maybe this time, they can handle the massive volume of scam sites and be able to detect and delete them once got caught or if there is a report.

What happens before will teaches them to be more strict on accepting ads this time. They need to filter every ad to avoid such a thing and I was sure that they are once ready again to face the challenge.

Good news but isn't this also a bad news because the scammers will be having their moment of taking the advantage of it? AFAIK, before Google banned bitcoin/crypto related ads, there's proliferation of scam ads.

But to solve that, they only need to watch out those applications that would be purchasing their ad spaces and have to catch those suspicious ads and scammers.
This is down to Google. If they don't want scammers advertising on their platform, which was the original intention for removing the advertisements in the first place, then they need to moderate what can or can't be advertised. However, that opens a can of worms in itself. Unfortunately, its a pretty difficult issue to tackle, although I would expect a company like Google with their finances to be able to put together something at least acceptable, even if it was biased. It is their platform, so they define the rules.
Yeah, that's the sad part.

But hoping that they get to solve this issue as they're already aware of it. Maybe adding some manpower to check those applications and  requirements and measure before one can be granted to advertise.

It's still too early to think of it though but let's see if there's going to be some positive changes after lifting the ban.

Google has begun to accept advertisements for Bitcoin, and Google lifted its ban on advertisements related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Starting August 3, companies using Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can once again advertise on the search giant and various websites that are part of its platform. The ban was implemented in March 2018 to comply with the new regulations of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the United States (FinCEN).

Good news for website developers who have cryptocurrency and financial related content. because ads from the crypto segment will definitely be big and competetive. there will also be limits on what crypto ads is allowed. but it's a good start if cyrpocurrency can appear in other people's page. will definitely expand the bitcoin and crypto community.

This is a great news. Not just the website developers alone will benefit but the crypto market too. This will enable more researchers in google to easily access all the topics related to bitcoin and crypto information. As a result, bitcoin will gain more popularity not just in more developed countries but even to those areas who are still in the process of developing. And i think bitcoin adoption will become more attainable if all the people in the world will be educated about bitcoin even through google ads and google's first hand information.

I thought the ban was lifted last month? Well anyhow, Google Ads still can't filter ads that are meant to scam people, and they still place those scam ads on prime ad spots which makes it a lot easier for a lot of people to click on it and get their information/money/whatever taken from them. It amazes me how Google complied with FinCEN's regulation re: cryptocurrencies when they themselves continue to just accept payment and display ads that are harmful to those who use their search engine.

Google should have accepted Bitcoin advertising a long time ago because this opportunity is very useful to increase investors around the world. If bitcoin ads are widespread throughout the world and there are more and more investors, then be prepared for a bitcoin price explosion in the next few months.
It was originally allowed, however it was removed a little while ago. I believe the justification of this was; the amount of scams that were being advertised, and they deemed Cryptocurrency high risk. I don't know exactly what has changed for them to change their mind on this, but I would assume its because of the reduction of ICOs which were notoriously known for being scams.

It's a pretty solid endorsement of Bitcoin to have one of the leading companies of the online world start accepting it. This is almost bigger than if Amazon were to eventually accept Bitcoin (even though they have denied the story so far). The google advertising network has huge reach and will now be allowing cryptocurrency related adverts, that could result in a massive uplift in the exposure that many people will see online. Hopefully they are able to monitor it and protect the end users from being subject to scammers - but that can happen even with fiat currency. Possibly some of the biggest news to come into the cryptocurrency space for a while, if it's true.

Didn't the lift the ban few months ago? I have been hearing about them banning and unbanning crypto related advertisement very frequently. As far as I know, facebook did the same too.
It's a good thing they are unbanning crypto related advertisement. But sadly, we will be seeing many advertisements that are scam (and at the top results!) that newbies will fall for. Head over to reddit and see how many people got scammed by downloading fake metamask wallet that they saw as top ad when googling metamask.

The only ones that will benefit from these ban lifting is probably the scam websites that are actively making their sites on top or advertised. i don't know if I'll be happy about this or not but this is definitely not an entirely good news for me.
That's not entirely true. There will be legitimate companies welcoming this news, since any exposure to their company will benefit them. Plus, as much as I dislike Google there's no denying that the vast majority of people use their search engine, and its probably the best in terms of searching up things on the internet. My dislike is because of the privacy issues that arise from using it.

IIRC this was lifted year/months ago, but needs a more restricted regulation before they accept crypto advertisers.

Can't say that this is a good news but, make sure that they will be more strict accepting crypto related ads coz there are still newbies who can easily be fooled by just seeing an too good to be true ads ln google.

Not sure, but I guess that's not new because I saw that on the news about a month ago where google decided to accept bitcoin for the advertising services. However, That's good news for the people who were unable to use Paypal and CC for this service and they had to pay their bitcoins to someone and ask him to pay for him, I remember in many cases scammer could get the coins and run away while they could not be tracked easily. However, I believe there will be much more fake ICO advertising through google ads sine the scammers won't share their personal payment informations.

Sometimes one has to first destroy (at least a little) to build and we have to build.
I believe this news is a bullish sign for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin has further upside potential
So yeah. Buy bitcoins...
