I have created a thread regarding that news, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57609971
But I was unable to find any strong news links. However, seems the source is fine that you have mentioned in the OP. Google has taken the right decision about advertising Bitcoin-related sites. Since Google advertise many scam site, so I believe they should allow advertising all crypto-related ads. Because all crypto projects aren't scamming at all.

Yes we know that news too. But its a old news it didn't affect that much. Yeah that's true Google didn't run any add which was bitcoin related. Now they show bitcoin is accepted by lots of countries then google can run that add too. And Google say they will also show that adds on us too. But breaking news what comes just an hour ago which was now coinbase users can buy crypto through google pay, and apple pay. I think this news will be a biggest bullish news for bitcoin.  And it helps a lot to reach more people and getting their trust too.

this is good news for bitcoin investors.with the acceptance.of bitcoin as a member of google which later will continue to appear.several ads that will be.displayed by google itself.so that it will make bitcoin more.known by many as a business investment without appearing.the return of negative.opinions towards.the crypto world among.the.public
Google ads of course will make the reach of people increase.  all generations will definitely be able to see those bitcoin ads on their smartphones and make them curious about what it is.  this is great news and hopefully by the end of this year we will see the price of Bitcoin breaking through $100k.

Google banned crypto advertising in March 2018 and even changed the rules that same year in September allowing crypto exchanges to become certified advertisers on its platforms in America and Japan.

and this year google again gives leeway for crypto companies to advertise on google and with some policies that must be obeyed.

Note that advertisers must be properly registered with FinCEN as a financial services business or bank entity chartered by the US state government. so not all crypto companies can advertise on google.

If the ban was introduced to comply with some regulations, I wonder on which grounds it's now being lifted. And, to be honest, I have mixed feelings about this announcement. At first glance, it might seem like great because because cryptos can become more visible to people via ads. But if you think about it longer, you realize that Bitcoin isn't exactly a company, so we can barely expect anyone to pay for ads that'll just encourage people to use Bitcoin. Instead, these will be ads of crypto-related companies, and it's good if we're talking about top exchanges, but there will also probably be many scammy projects, and this will annoy people and strengthen the association of Bitcoin with scam. It's good that ICOs aren't allowed, but it doesn't mean that no scam will make it there to the ads.

Well, I hope that someone from the team will be able to filter all crypto sites that want to promote before it published as these scammers and scam sites will surely take advantage. But I think that Google is already aware of this possible scenario and this is not only happening to crypto ads. Strict rules must be implemented to stop the spread of fake and scam sites, and this will add loads for the team.
I don't know about this but I feel like it's difficult to filter it out, remember that millions if not billions are using their site so I don't think it's humanly possible to do this and the current AI technology is too strict that it might also eliminate sites that aren't a scam. Also, even if people all over the world that are against scam work together, it won't be enough and they can only do so much.

Good for them. It was eventual as cryptos can't be resisted and when the people are with the crypto industry then they can't resist. They tried, all the institutions and govts tried, but they have to surrender. Bitcoin and crypto are here to stay.
The only ones that will benefit from these ban lifting is probably the scam websites that are actively making their sites on top or advertised. i don't know if I'll be happy about this or not but this is definitely not an entirely good news for me.

It's good for us too. Although some ads are scams and many are there only for getting referrals, they will convince more people buy bitcoin, hence rise the price.
...Or at least that's what I expect to happen...

Google advertises as the best platform to effectively bring Bitcoin and crypto to people all over the world. It is a good signal for the crypto space to increase the number of users as well as more money inflow. We are facing a great opportunity for a strong price increase in the future.
The effect is only one tenth of the original because in recent years, other social networking platforms have had an advantage in advertising and saved a lot of costs while in those years, Google completely banned advertising about bitcoin and unfortunately, Google has returned to bitcoin advertising at a time when awareness of it was already very high among the general public. There really isn't a strong chance and it could be another risk, look at the Amazon examples to understand that risk.

Google has begun to accept advertisements for Bitcoin, and Google lifted its ban on advertisements related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Starting August 3, companies using Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can once again advertise on the search giant and various websites that are part of its platform. The ban was implemented in March 2018 to comply with the new regulations of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network of the United States (FinCEN).

Google definitely sees an opportunity to make big money from here, it's very tempting...

since the ban on Bitcoin and crypto advertising made by Google it is unreasonable and there is a political element in it. now they removed the ban so that's very good news.

if google has received bitcoin ads, you can say this is good news, we can't deny it over time, bitcoin continues to grow and more and more people hold bitcoin, bitcoin is now more popular in all circles, maybe that's the reason Google accepts bitcoin ads, because Google wants to increase their income, they don't want to waste the opportunities that lie in front of their eyes..

I agree with you, no matter what the other limitations are or may be, the important thing is Google is accepting btc ads which is a good sign, I hope to see more good news to come in time, this is already inevitable in my opinion, they can't keep fighting with btc, they just have to accept it at some point.

It's a piece of great news that google has lifted the cryptocurrency ads ban. Google was just following protocols before that lead to the banning of advertisements related to crypto because crypto has a bad reputation then. Fortunately, the cryptocurrency community has been able to redeem itself by proving that it is beneficial and not harmful at all if done correctly. Crypto is often associated with schemes, scams, and illegal activities which is why it was commanded to be taken down and be prohibited to be shown on Google platforms.

With this, the price of bitcoin in the next few months has a high tendency to be influenced. Bitcoin's price can go high because of this. Many potential investors can be encouraged by this news because it already came from Google itself - trusting cryptocurrency once again. This will be a great instrument for more exposure that can garner many users which can play a significant role in our community. I just hope Google will filter all the ads to be displayed upon the platforms to avoid promotion of unsafe sites and information about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

There will be a big changes in bitcoin for sure and i hope this one is legit.  Indeed google advertisement is one of the most effective way to promote anything around the internet , for me if they don't ban bitcoin perhaps it's now keep hanging at the top.. I dont know what's the reason wherein despite they keep advertising some stocks exchanges and etc but they declined bitcoin even it has big if we will make a comparison .. Btw let's forget about that..the most important is the future and i hope these one is real..  Cheesy

I admitted that is good news for crypto users as Google accepting bitcoin ads. But somehow, Google needs to work hard to filters every bitcoin ad because it will attract scammers to use the ads for their purpose to trick many new people who use Google. But I am sure Google will figure out how to prevent the unrelated bitcoin ads to their ads logarithm so people will only see the ads that will not try to scam them. Anyway, by accepting bitcoin ads, it seems Google wants to take part in cryptocurrency and who knows, Google will launch their own crypto to their audience and attract investors in the future.
