The introduction of the blockchain to prevent corruption is only a small fraction of the application where it can be used.

Corruption makes the country less developed, preventing corruption is the right thing to do. If blockchain technology can help us prevent corruption, why does not the government immediately apply it? That would be great for everyone.
I'm sure it will but if the current government officials are corrupt, then they would not think of adopting blockhain technology. We all know that this will make all the transactions be transparent so if they will use this quickly, surely they won't make money at all.

I do not agree. You probably do not understand how corruption is implemented in most countries. Allow you to explane. The corruption chain in the government can be represented as a pyramid, where junior officials are located at the bottom of the pyramid, and top officials are at the top of the pyramid. Nobody in the country wants the pyramid to be destroyed, just every participant in this chain wants to move up. To summarize: the government is not interested in transparency and lack of control.
You really sound like someone who is from a very corruption prone country, I am as well, and I totally understand what you are talking about. In fact, in a lot of the less developed and developing countries, corruption has dug so deep that it would take some huge cleaning process to be able to get it out of the way.

We are talking about top officials doing whatever they like, the lower chain masses trying to find a way to fend for themselves since the government cannot provide for even their basic needs and amenities, and putting all these together, it has made corruption to be like a virus in such systems that has really affected every single citizen in the country.

Any government official in their right mind would want to delay the implementation of blockchain technology as much as possible. Their careers' success are essentially based on deception: say what the masses want to hear and do what personally benefits' themselves and their backers. This would be much harder to do and they'd have to finally become men/women of their word.

Blockchain is a good technology that will be use as a tool of transparency to every transaction being done. The government should know and develop a system like this on their system. This will eradicate corruption or transactions being made under the table because there will be a transparency on every transactions and how much money is involve. The budget of the people will be obviously utilize to its intended purpose. Would you agree with this idea?
Before you talk about using cryptocurrency to stop corruption in governments you should first talk of stopping the manipulation that’s being done in cryptocurrency ;I even heard that what investors do now is to form a group and pump the price of certain cryptocurrncies and dump them later which is very bad for this.

If things continue this way then not even cryptocurrency can stop corruption. The problem with government is that they are already corrupt,, if not they would probe anyone that is being suspected and make sure that everything is being recovered.
I still can't believe there are people out there who think that any party or any political movement can't be corrupted. It is not always the money that attracts the politicians or the power of law or anything like that, some people get into politics because they are really good people and they want to help people out and by all means they do that with all the power they have however in the end there are some stuff politics do not share with the common folk that basically spends our tax money on stuff that would not help us in any way and no one really does anything about it.

There are people who got into politics because they want to help people and became obsolete old people who are known for talking about silly stuff and really not cared about over the years because they failed to really help people out. Politicians are not there to really help you out, they are there to control you so you don't overthrow them.

I think blockchain can't prevent corruption if the government implement it  because they will find a way to corrupt whatever law they had. I believe that it should start within us if we want to stop corruption and fight the government official who is corrupt.

Blockchain can be useful in order to prevent corruption because of its transparency and security. most of transaction of currupted money has done through cash so in blockchain cash transactions are not possible.
Once the block has created than no one can change the transaction details if someone try than he/she has to hack the whole block that is not possible. anyone can see the transaction details without any permission of receiver or sender. That means if something wrong happened than it is easy to trap the corrupted person.

I think, that in many cases, governments are those, who are the most corrupt, so not sure what they would think about that. Also, people should have the right for some privacy IMO.

If blockchain does this, society is growing. Transactions will be more transparent. No more money laundering or flooding is taking place in many countries. That is desirable, but also a lot of difficulties and inadequacies to make it into reality

In theory, this is true, and the blockchain can change too much. But hesitant politicians have rotted and they don't want to be regulated by the blockchain. This may be a long process.

Many governments are looking at this option. Since the blockchain is relatively new and is yet to prove itself through time, it's only wise for the governments to wait a little and watch how it evolves. At the moment, many researches are being carried out about ways to implement this seamlessly without causing a hitch.

This is true. Government must try other things that might help to improve the economy. It might be a not so good place to start gaining, but it is worth it. And if we talk about corruption, it is not really clear on how itmust be implemented, it needs to go thru different process to be understood.
Yes, Blockchain technology is very important in order to keep everything safe and unambiguous. This technology has added more to the future and popularity of Bitcoin that is spreading all over the world rapidly. Using this technology we will be enable to understand every transaction and all its previous information. Corruption is involved not only in crypto coins but before crypto coins it was involved in fiat currency so strong measures are necessary to act against corruption.

That is something that would be possible if the government is actually looking to improve its economy and that would have a lot to do with those who are the main top officials in the country as that is how it would move downward to even the citizens.

However, let's take a look at the way some countries do their things, and even the leaders are nothing to write home about, I am not sure they will ever want blockchain technology to thrive, knowing how exposed they will be and the lesser it would be for them to do some activities without getting caught, when it comes to bribery and corruption.

That would be too much transparency for them I guess and which is something they may not find interesting unless we have some visionary leaders ready to lead the way.

This is a laudable idea because Blockchain technology eliminates all fraudulent activities seen in some businesses in relation to their payment systems. The Blockchain keep records of all transactions which ensures transparency and trust. The governments can utilize it to minimize or check the uprising incidence of corruption.
I agree on that this is an awesome idea and it will really a big help to the government. Maybe this will be great if the government will take a look on this, because I believe this is really great using block chain will maybe secure the government funds from corrupt official.

Heckz the government already know of this. There are so many ways to make transparency happen even before blockchains happened but then the government chooses not to do that because they now that the people will see how corrupt they are. I mean the government is not as dumb as we know, they just really don't care.

Yes, if blockchain technology can be widely adopted by the government, it will certainly have a great effect on preventing corruption and improving the efficiency of government departments.

I think this is possible as the government will just assign an intended wallet to every official so that their transaction can be monitor all the times in which the government could now track the money flow as easy as Bitcoin transactions. I think using blockchain technology will really happen soon if the government is really against the corruption.

That is the reason also that they are not going to implement it because they don't want corruption to end. Except if all people will start to say it.
