As I'm seeing now the sell resistance of this coin is almost nothing. Just 2 BTC are needed to reach price 20K SAT. I wonder when some whale notices this coin because once this happens, nobody will have time to buy anything below 10K price, whale will snap it all at one bite and pump it over 100K with ease.

Sounds good to me, more money for projects, win win! Wink

Bitcoin is the future

I like the retro Commodore64 look too. Old things often come back into fashion years later. Its look could start a revival and be copied by other coins.

Not sure where people are getting 500% from.

Hmm.. maybe they get it from OP..?  Roll Eyes

"staking at a rate of 500% thereafter"

Its clearly stated there.

It looks like the interest is 500%:

$ GoldPiecesd getmininginfo
[..]
"stakeinterest" : 500000000,
[..]

Not exactly sure how to parse the number of zeros, but 500% looks right if you remove 6 zeros like I've seen for at least one other POS coin.

I just got into GoldPieces a few days ago (for some reason the low-res logo and name really appeal to the nerd in me). Looking forward to seeing this coin integrated into some games!

Yes i thought the pixely logo was nice:)

Anyone that is good with batch scripts, I'm interested in having a script created that developers can use that will install GP, give them a unique config file, set the daemon to autostart on a fresh digitalocean ubuntu installation for example.

Hi there,

This coins looks quite different so I have started to buy some coins.
I bought some this morning and transferred back to my wallet for staking.
However, it is taking along time to appear in my wallet and I am sure it will turn up soon.

If it's bittrex their transfers are often delayed, I've had to message them to get them to send sometimes.

I concur. With the comparatively limited supply and 500% PoS interest in the first year - if Halhan becomes popular and/or GoldPieces is adopted by other browser based RPG's then this could offer a nice return on a minimal investment.

Not sure where people are getting 500% from.  The math is pretty damn simple, child school level even.  About 1600 new coins are staked everyday right now, with around 800,000 coins that's less than 100%

This is where my concerns lies as I presume transaction speed is based on staking rate across the network ?
Now is the 24 hours putting people off or is it too long as everyone reboots their every time.
Also is there is a transaction explorer ?
Many thanks
Lee

Staking blocks is frequent enough. If anything, the delay is from your exchange's withdraw cycles.
I move coins in and out from Bittrex all the time and its swift.

Today i got a  stake of 2.50955105 from an address that had about 80 GP in it, for those keeping count of such things:D

It takes 24 hours before your coins start staking but transactions happen much faster than that. Here's the block explorer:

On Bittrex there are cca 93000 GP wanted on Buy side  and just cca 41000 GP available for selling. And this coin needs just cca 1.8 Bitcoin to reach price of 10K  Grin If we reach 10K than this coin will explode as there is just very little resistance between 10K and 100K.  I'm buying guys.

I have some other ideas to like a physical game system/games/game cards marketplace people can buy/sell to eachother with GP i think will ensure more usability. Once the market is bigger existing games and services will be able to accept GP confidently as well.

We still need to decide as a community what we will be setting the stake % to in January 2016 as well.

Goldpieces is not busy on any platform but Bitcointalk, haven't seen any update on Twitter since a month. Where's the promotion?

Not buying!

well you cant always see whats behind the screen anyway
have some faith and wait  Roll Eyes
and wait for the dev team to give what has been promised

From what I can tell it looks like Inkha is making great progress on the development of GP infrastructure.

As a fellow coin dev I can see that Inkha is 100% committed to this coin!

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah like I said in the most recent post on GPieces.com there's no reason to be worried. We'l deliver all we promised and more. This is a long term project for me. There will be a time and a place for promotion like when we have a stable working game ready I think.

Thanks!
~Inkha

No problem Wink Slow and steady wins the race.

That it does! I'l work on some more formal information for investors such as a more in depth illustration of the projects road map. Thanks guys,
