ASUS R280x Winner!

WOW, Thanks GPU Coin, I am ticket 204 and the IPO prize winner.  I have followed you since the announcement and you are my second IPO coin I participated in. The first one was a scam and the devs took everyone's bitcoin.  Luckily I was hesitant and only lost .0125 bitcoin. I
liked your idea of actually having a use for the mined coins, a GPU STORE, so I planned on mining with my rig and
figured I would again try an IPO from a more reputable source. So I did the same .0125 bitcoin for your IPO, so glad I did, now I
can build my second rig soon thanks to you.  Best of luck with your launch, and business.

Just finished updating the IPO chart on the web page, so now back to answering e-mails.

Dev just finished the scrypt-n version so now we have both, whichever is released will depend entirely on the community driven poll.  I'll shut the poll off at midnight which is the same time the IPO ends.

Can i still send some btc or is it to late?

None of the above Algo's. Scrypt is done to death.

Use BLAKE 256  It has proven to be the most efficient hashing algo yet and use the least power on GPU's.

Any idea on how much time does it take to get confirmed?
I sent my coins 2hrs ago and they are still not showing up in the investment chart  Sad

shouldn't be too much longer bro, I invested .25 BTC a few hours back and then decided to go another .25 a couple hours ago.
The first .25 is showing on the chart but not the second yet.

Any chance of Blake256 algo being added to the poll?  That's about as gpu-friendly as it gets.  Plus, the algo is merge-minable.

"ASIC resistant"

Keep in mind, scrypt was supposed to do the same thing. And why mine for GPU's when you could just buy the coin to do the same thing for discount? I stand behind the idea, but I also am not bothered by ASICs.

Dev, thanks for the updates. Launch still on for tomorrow afternoon?

In my mind scrypt-n is the obvious choice.  The whole coin revolves around selling gpu's and we might end up with currency that can't even use gpus to mine cost effectively.

Can anyone explain briefly to me what is the difference between Scrypt and Scrypt-n?
you need more memory n times compare to simple script on higher n your hash speed is decreasing but all have the same effect.
More memory makes simply Script asic usless/
If that should be GPU coion then simple script is pointless when Asics are around...
Better is scrypt jane or n factor IMO.
...So Keccak algo is even better for GPU. +1

Ach ONE MORE THING many scrypt coins is raped by MULTIPOOLS Tongue so take care if GPU coin value will rise they will rape your rising potential.
Keccak will be in that matter even better becouse is less popular.
Please if you want GPU coin don't do jokes with ASICs party on board IMO.

Can anyone explain briefly to me what is the difference between Scrypt and Scrypt-n?

Scrypt is the most common hashing algorythm that most alt coins use (ie. Litecoin, doge, etc.)
Scrypt-N uses a different (asic resistant) hashing algorythm, and you need to download
a different cgminer, the one that Vert coin uses, as well as some others.  There is also
a Keccak algo, which Maxcoin and Helix coin uses. I like that one the best, it is again another
version of cgminer, but your cards run cooler and you can still use your computer while mining
(you can watch videos or minor gaming), which the Scrypts don't let you do unless you lower
intensity and sacrifice performance.

Scrypt-N does not "destroy" your cards.
If you are running at stock speeds and stock (or undervolted),
and your temps are below 80C. ANYTHING you run on
your cards, Scrypt, Scrypt-N, Keccak, and GAMES are
fine and won't destroy your card.  You will wear out fans
faster mining 24/7, but I have had video cards for 3 years
playing games 5 hr/day in an 80C case and none ever died.
Well except for XFX 270's died in a month, they are SHIT.

GPUs are ASICs you guys ...

Part of why bitcoin's value took off is the fact that companies were built up from the community, designing dedicated systems for it. Why do you think the value stayed practically worthless years prior? Never understood why people are so scared of ASIC dedicated systems. You're either into mining, or you're not.

Well tell you what, If u lend me about 10-13 k to buy some asics, then I can mine some btc directly and compete with the megapowerhouses... Most of direct btc mining is done in centralized locations...

You realize scrypt-asics have been priced far less than btc asics right? They're out right now at just about 2x GPU costs. I have a bunch of MH on order myself. They're not expensive, whynot go get some yourself? 10k would get you like 100MH last I checked.

Face the facts, it's moving that direction. You'll still be able to mine coins with GPUs but you can't expect a global technology to simply stagnate. People typically don't want it to move that way because then it makes it harder for them to mine. Just do what I did, use crypto to get more equipment.

Well, this coin is to buy GPU Video Cards, if will be Normal scrypt mining then why we still wana buy GPU Cards with this coin when we can buy ASIC? non sens, where will be future of this coin? nowone will mine it to buy GPU from his store. I like ideea to mine this coin and buy new GPU. If this coin will be Scrypt then I don't want new GPU Cards, I will buy ASICs.

GPUS are not ASICs....

ASIC stands for application specific integrated circuit meaning it is made to do one thing only and that is mine. A pocket calculator is considered an asic since it can only do one thing.

Yeah I did go overboard, but some companies did offer sweet deals to investors. So my future purchases will be discounted as well, significantly. The point is, you can get it, so why not turn your earnings into more equipment? You always have to stay ahead of the curve, otherwise buy and hold.

10k get you 100mega, in what reality?

1 6mega cost you 5k already...
