Sign up with assholes like pirateat40? Are you mad?
Did you guys forget that he is a scammer and a lying sack of shit who just stole huge pile of BTC? Really? That fast? LOL!

They're not counting on pirate, they're counting on gpumax's current leadership. Let's all hope pirate doesn't have any control of funds still, though I expect we would already know if he did

He didn't steal anything. All those investing IDIOTS gave it to him, willingly. There's no proof that he is a scammer, or that he was lying, or that he was pretending to be different people, or that he has a dead man's switch, or that 'it shouldn't take longer than a week', or that he will begin payouts on monday, or that Trendon Shavers is simply a DBA name, or the amount of bitcoins he currently has, or that he was selling BTC locally and doing loans and market arb, or that his wife is a fake blonde, or that he has a legitimate business, or that he has legitimate partners that require 100% disclosure to his lenders upon payback of funds, or that he actually WILL pay back 100% of owed funds down to the hour with running interest, or that he has a BOT that checks his PMs for him on this forum so it may look like he is online but he really isn't, or that Don Shrents is a real person, or that he is actually a real pirate, or that he has 30,000 of his own personal bitcoins, or that GPUMAX was NOT used to launder money, or that he was never pointing GPUMAX hashing power to his own private pool in order to generate freshly minted coins for personal use/laundering, or that he never skimmed shares off the top of every GPUMAX miner even when they were only using GPUMAX for monitor and control their miners for 'free', or that he doesn't have 7 different sockpuppet accounts on this forum, or that 99% of all his OTC feedback prior to BTCST big money borrowing was left for sub-$100 Paypal/BTC transaction where he was actually nice.......OR....or...OR...or...

Why should we stop earning gpumax profits because you invested in a obvious ponzi scheme? I'm definitely not taking advice from someone who can't figure out how mining is profitable and instead, chooses to invest in a ponzi scheme.

Well, in their defense ( I can't believe I am posting this) alot of the improvements happen behind the GUI, where we can't see. They are always trying to improve load balancing, share fetching etc.... and they seem to keep moving forward. It's just to bad that the Public Relations situation is killing the Technology side of things.

I don't know what you've eaten today, but it's the second post where I see you "defend" pirate and trying to put yourself in his perspective.

You evolved a lot since your crisis for the no-withdraw after 3 hours.  Grin

Unfortunately it depends on the time of day that I take my medication Wink
Seriously though, GPUMAX.....what could have been.....fuck me.

Esp since Pirate always stated gpumax/btcs&t payments all came from the same wallet, I'm amazing GPUmax still exists and people still using it, given the present state of default on btcs&t.

Don't worry about them. They are all COOL because they are only risking a few Bitcoins  Roll Eyes

GPUMAX is still in beta, and previously they would issue new invites as improvements were made to the site.  And there would be an admin on the board to help with questions, and make announcements, etc.

Now it just seems like they are trying to get as many people to sign up as possible all at once...

And I haven't seen any improvements to the site in quite a while.  And there's plenty of places where they could still be improving.

As mentioned above, maybe they just finally consider their product stable enough to increase invites now. This was meant to be a business in the long run to begin with. While there are some doubts to the long term potential or the possible illegal/immoral/otherwise bad uses, it's out there to be used all the same. More people means bigger business. In theory, new invites means lower PPS prices and more people buying shares at the lower price.

With NEW INVITES going out, can anyone comment on the level of Admin/OP communication/interaction/support in the #GPUMAX IRC channel ?

I don't think that Zach/zux0r had an active account here on the forum and obviously Trendon/pirateat40 hasn't posted about the subject in quite some time.

I tried to keep up to date myself in the past, but it seems now, or at least as of late, I am no longer welcome in any pirateat40-related IRC channels.

Cheers,
bitlane

Hi Bitlane,

zux0r is in the #gpumax channel everyday and handles all of the support requests along with coding of the site. Purchases were running yesterday and the system is healthy.

What does he say?Who is the boss, what happened to pirate? At this point it was presented as Pirate`s platform...

Thanks giga.

Alex, it has always been represented as a 'Partner Project' with pirate being 1 of the managing/founding members.
As I never really used IRC for support or info, I never became too familiar with zux0r (Zach) and pirate/Trendon maintained the 'forum-public-face' role around here.

I guess, like everyone else, I am simply probing around to see where in the world Carmen Sandiego Pirate/Trendon is and if he still maintains a presence in the channel, during his 'step-back' from the public spotlight with all of the BTCST '(lack-of)happenings' as of late.

This situation still confuses me, yet continues to amaze me, by making less and less sense on a daily basis, especially since NEW INVITES keep arriving for new GPUMAX signups.
Oh well...back to my magic 8-ball for the time being  Roll Eyes

It is possible since you have to sign up to rent hashing power they hope people will want to try it. Novelty factor or whatever. I know no one wants to hear this but it is possible this is actually intended to be a business. Anyone who gambles by buying shares pays the house. Everyone who mines for the house gets paid. People aside from pirate have paid and sure it seems to be around  bitminter races. Whoever got the most shares or found the most blocks got a prize. Two prizes last weekend. Before it got too long in the que several people on the thread used it.  I only know that because they complained the delays cost them money. Even some new users last week.

With the no to low delays I am actually suprized more people aren't trying to gamble on prop.

Where is the owner to talk about this stuff? Nowhere.
Why isn't this locked up and labelled scammer?

It depends on the pool, scoring system for payment and if you want to have a crap load of hashing power put in short term.

People can backstop mining contracts with it as well but it will cost them. Still you can put in an order fast and if you are down for a while it could cost you more for non delivery clauses.

On PPS there isn't a great reason, as far as gambling you could make more occasionally with proportional, one person said they did better with DGM (Purely Luck), I would guess that PPLNS could be done with luck too.

Some pool ops have used it or pool members used it to test pool hardware for maximum throughput. It is easier to get a purchase on GPUmax then it is to attract enough people to get the hashrate as high for a test.

what is the reason to use gpumax?
You pay 0.5833 BTC for some shares and got 0.365 BTC on the pool?!
