I thinking about getting into mining and wondering is this coin more profitable then ethereum and other big coins. I see that this coin have been relaunch. Also is the lottery still going on? Thanks.

Is this Coin re-launched?
Why has there not been a new website and white paper for this coin?
The professional thing to do if the coin was being re-launched would be to make sure a nice new website and whitepaper to be launched before re-launching of the coin
If you are a good web developer surely it is not too difficult to launch a website, so why hasn't it been done?

I may be on the panel for a discussion of the Future of Crypto hosted by the Institute of Exponential Sciences and the U.S. Transhumanist Party coming up in the next few weeks. This is not definitive yet.

I'm also noticing the mining difficulty is climbing rapidly. So miners are coming in, but the mining is also intermittent. We need consistent mining.

As of this morning, it seems that the GDC coin supply on the Cryptopia exchange is being gobbled up going from 99 million to 62 million. So far, there is over 9 btc of volume and still going.

What is the total coin supply for grand coin?
From the OP, when everything is mined there is supposed to be a total of 1,420,609,614 coins. Some of those are likely lost over the years.
On the exchanges, what I can see on Cryptopia's book is about 62 million so far, so not much.
If we do the maths and if I do them correctly, it's roughly 800M :
1/ Block 1 to block 700,000 = 1000 GDC per block = 700 million GDC
2/ Block 700,001 to current block 897,000 = 197,000 x 500 = roughly 100 million GDC
But as said, who knows how many coins were lost forever on Cryptsy... I'd say a lot as it was the only exchange hosting GDC.
It should be interesting to see what makes its way back and to see what's being mined. You're working on the white paper?

The order book on Cryptopia is now at 92 million. Trading volume has tapered off a bit below 3 btc / day. Those are some good numbers to give a good overall picture of what the community can use to work with. Of course those numbers will change over time.
No doubt there is lots of opportunities to grow if the community is willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. We need videos, some write ups etc... Any volunteers?
