Ok if it was going to bounce off that volume spike, it would have bounced by now.  It’s taking too long to go up.

Down we go.    0.00019130 at the moment

Right. Convinced of what?
I'm definitely convinced that you like to repeatedly remind us about Grin's monetary policy. Roll Eyes
In case you haven't noticed all alts are bleeding.

I'll jump eat my balls off, if we see $0.5 Grin, how about that? Tongue

I like reminding everyone because no one has acknowledged the fact that longterm grin holders' coins will be diluted by infinite emission. Everyone appears to be blaming the bear market and avoids asking what the infinite supply and the 5 years of high inflation effect will be.

Lets not be frightened by the word "Infinite" here, there is nothing wrong with a minor tail emission (infinite supply) if it is small enough to be offset by expected coin losses as it provides for infinite security.

The only concern is the continual pressure during the maturing period that the emission schedule brings and that was known long before launch so there should be no complaints about it and it is not considered FUD by taking that into account when deciding when and/or whether to become a holder for speculations sake.

Those GRINs per second will pile up and up and up and up. There won't be an end to those newly minted coins. GRINs looks more like Dogecoin with privacy to me.

It makes sense to some people but I am not sure.

And why is that 1 GRIN per second? The markets should absorb 86400 GRINs everyday, forever.

I don't see this any different than the current FIAT system. Once you bend the monetary rules, you can always bend them some more. (That's exactly what's happening since they left the gold standard)

The limited supply idea makes more sense to me If you want a reliable store of value coin. Everything on earth is limited. The food, the energy, the water, everything. The money you use also should be limited so it automatically punishes those who make more babies than they could afford.

But as I see, It is not going to happen. People are already addicted to inflation, the place is already overcrowded and they won't be letting that shit go.

Possible entry point based on volume spike.  I am not going to enter because I am not feeling the vibe - but at an intellectual level there is a chance that this is a bottoming event.

It would be more convincing if the volume spike was double all previous volume.

Nice! Personally, I don't step in Grincoin at its temporary price. As the price chart shows, Grincoin dropped to below the double bottom point, so I think price will keep falling. I will consider to buy Grin coin when it falls around half of its current price. Maybe someone will tease me that I over expect extremely cheap price, but I have my own approach with patience play key role. If I miss cheap price of Grincoin, higher than what I expect, and I won't buy Grincoin, I won't lose anything. There are lots of other good coins with good or better entry points, hence there is no reason to feel so bad.

Does anyone who has denied the unsayable or else Cryptotourist will jump from a cliff already convinced? Grin's infinite inflation was chosen for stability in price.

Also, its fluctuations might become more similar to dogecoin than bitcoin.

Right now it says Grin has no bottom. Looking for an entry point but can’t see one.

Thanks for heads up, I get the same feeling with bbc.reporter, Hueristic's 50 cents comment and after lurking in their discord channel but wanted to do one more checkup with your TA.

Hey guys

Quickly skimmed first 30 pages. Saw bearish theymos, LFC didn't get in, Hairy sold all of it and bob hating most of it...... but I don't mind throwing a couple of hundred bucks in it and might pick some this weekend. Hairy what are your chart suggesting Huh

But there can't be any visible "entry point" anyway it's on a constant dive with no historic data to support a "bottom" claim.
The best someone can do is to try and compare it with similar coins during similar times in order to guess when a trend change might occur... Which is really hard to do since every time has different circumstances.

19k sats and all is well....

Any suggestions on where to paint some lines? From naked eye, and watching $ of course not BTC notation, it's supportet on some Fiblevel, nothing more like that.

Emission rate will kill all resistence on the long term

I don't think you can draw trustful lines in any asset that isn't even 1 year old. Especially with relatively low volume, any technical analysis can get crashed by either a FOMO train or a FUD bomb.
In cases like these, just trust your gut and either catch the falling knife or stay and watch! ;P

With this emission schedule I would have bet way more than I should have that this would be below a buck by now and yet its still above 2, very impressive. I'm still waiting another year though, there is no way it can keep holding with this pressure but sub 50 cents I'm stocking up. Smiley

2 mimblewimble coins doing well today. so happ

We need to realise that 5% is not anything special though, don't jumb on the train hoping for a moon-shot when a coin turns green one day!
With that said, let's hope the market will stabilize at some point so that we can see some bulish action again soon.

I am thinking about buying GRIN but for the very long term. What do you think? The high inflation rate will no more affect the price? Theymos said something that he wouldnt be surprised to see GRIN below 1USD this year.

Nobody knows anything.

Theymos is a wise guy but in this case I don't think he knows what'll happen to grin neither.

The only advice I can give you is, don't invest more than you could afford to lose.

On the other hand, I am pretty positive this coin sooner or later will get listed on Binance. After all the useless shitcoins they listed, It would be a shame if they don't list GRIN. That will be the time when GRIN is going to see a huge pump.

It is probably a good idea to invest %1 of your crypto into this coin, while It is that cheap I am thinking about it too. I believe I can risk my %1 but everybody's risk appetite is different.

*Also be careful where you are getting your coins from. CMC lists so many fake volume exchanges. The only (semi)legit exchanges I see which let you trade GRINs are: polo, bittrex and kucoin. The rest are either scams like HitBTC or fake volume Chinese exchanges. Either way stay away from them.

GRIN's real 24h trading volume is ~$85k (which is not great)
https://openmarketcap.com/cryptocurrency/grin-usd

not a goddamn $40m.
Thank you for your suggestion. Yeah, GRIN needs a higher volume and more friendly UI, after that we can think about the growth.

Interesting to see so many Monero trolls fans in this thread, makes me wonder if there is some value to this cryptoproject. Can you describe in a few sentences
what GRIN is all about ?

Thank you.
