I received confirmation through Skype that 7 of the 14 units I purchased on 1/9 (their time) shipped today and that the rest will ship tomorrow.

Do they have you listed on the batches for 1/08 or 1/09 on the front page?

They had me listed as 1/9, but I paid 1/8.

Thanks for the info.  As stated it is the time difference.  But in the end we just want info on when miners are shipping.

I don't have a good link but I can explain pretty quickly. Download cgminer and zadig (for windows). Plug in your Avalon directly from the main control board to your PC. Change the driver to winUSB. Click install and then run cgminer with
--avalon-options 115200:24:10:D:1500:55 from the command prompt.

I got cgminer to recognize the Avalon after the dead tp-link. The problem I am seeing is it keeps saying 32 miners idle and then sending reset sequence. It shows all zeros and no fan turns on.

Any ideas?

You need to add the following line to your bat file

--avalon-options 115200:24:10:D:1500:55

Thanks, got this working but the main problem turned out to still be power related. It really does need a single rail with 50+ amps. It turns out I killed up three power supplies that just couldn't hack it. I plugged in a 750w single rail with 63a and one module fired right up. Two more 750w ordered and hopefully this will fix this problem. This is what I ordered http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Hale82N-240-Pin-Non-modular-np-1bn-0750a-us/dp/B008RK9V46/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1389971266&sr=8-3&keywords=nzxt+750.

Are you running this off the USB port?  If so, could you point to a link on how to set this up.  I would love to run this off a Minepeon.  Sorry - feeling lazy today.

I get it

Paypal has most of their money if not all of it on freeze given the number for refunds....Paypal is making sure they dont get screwed.

So they have no working capital but our BTC.

Hence its gone.

If they ship the miners today then that works but they should be compensating everyone for two weeks o lost hashing.

On the poster with too bad chips.....the floating probably didnt go eveningly on the board and or simply you fried two chips......consider yourself luckiing if it was one FC you would be down much more than 20 gh

It probably doenst hurt for folks to check the thermal paste on heatsink given the rushed manufacturing.....any bear spots can be deadly now that they went from two heatsinks down to one.

Cheers

Jenny is awesome ! 1-8-14 orders will ship out today there time apparently tracking will be available in 24 hours.

now is 2014-01-17 13:53,you will receive a ship number at about 2014-01-18 14:00
I have asked about the status of my 8/1 order yesterday, and was told it might still be in HK for some days. Email contact when very smooth until I asked for a refund (PayPal). Yet to hear back.

I'd be fine if I can be sure I get the miner within a few days, but I'm a bit fed up with the false promises / lack of communication.
Yesterday evening I was told they can refund PayPal users, but that they're short on Bitcoins. Today I'm being told no refund is possible and that I have to open a dispute with PayPal, as "their money is unavailable".

Just a fair warning guys: I ran one of my miners at 1500Mhz for a few minutes and it blew two modules (of the 16). I'm hashing at 14/16 the rate, and two modules remain cold. No physical damage, they just don't fire up. If anyone knows how to diagnose or fix them, I'd love to hear it.

I'm sure I was dumb to try it, but I do find it strange that it blew out 2 modules.

Thanks. I'm kind of antsy now long does DHL take. The crazy part is once I get it running and its hashing away it won't make me feel any better I would just know I'm mining for bitcoin.

What kind of PCU would you recommend to over clock the blades?

Overkill would be the best way to go.  Really, I've got two single-rail 1000W in there now, and I'll probably try 1600 assuming this goes well (been 8+ hours so far).  OTOH, I had two cheapo single-rail 750W's that didn't fare so well.  And as Gamer67 said, trying to OC with the btmine PSUs would be a non-starter (at best!).
