It seems like ryepdx has earned everyone's trust as the new lead, but I just wanted to add my +1 (40 chips at stake) in support of him if there is a tally being kept somewhere. From my brief interactions with him he is very communicative and informed.

Update: Yifu remains uncommunicative. John has been PMing him to no avail. I called him myself a little over an hour ago and left a message on his voicemail. I'm not very hopeful about getting a response, as it appears he's using a Google Voice number, but I'll let you all know if he gets back to me.

I have tried back channels to find out information just on chip delivery in general but nothing as well from Yifu on that front.

Should we be successful in the change, I think it would be prudent to kick a little more over to John for his efforts. I don't know how much he got for facilitating in the beginning but this is a scope change in my opinion and he should probably get a little compensation for it.

It seems like there is fairly strong support behind ryepdx taking over the group buy. He seems to be very communicative, as long as John K has the appropriate identifying information for ryepdx I would be ok with him taking over this group buy. I have 260 chips on the line.
Optionally, if John K can get ahold of Avalon to change the address I could also handle the order. I have resources readily available for shipping a large number of packages at a reasonable cost.

I'm sure JohnK would get a shipping notice for tracking and let us know if the order was in transit. We're waiting on an update about whether the delivery address can be changed, as far as I know.

If possible, next time anyone talks to raging, please ask him about the 20 sample chips. That's the one thing that made me worry about this at all considering the "customs" thing and then his disappearance...
+1 those dev chips should have already shipped to our designated developers as stated before.
The priority right now though is getting our group buy chips shipped to Ryepdx.
Agreed ... think John should check and see of address update is still possible.

Just throwing in another vote to transfer things to ryepdx. I've got a lot riding on this (820 chips). I feel for raging's situation, but it doesn't sound like he's in a position to deal with all of the shipping/paperwork involved with this order. Let's pay someone else to deal with it and allow raging time to heal.

After looking at the components I have on hand and the availability of the components I would need to buy more of, I can't say I am comfortable with taking on more business at this point in time. I would recommend looking into steamboat's assembly service. Let me how things work out for you, though. If everyone else is closed up as well, I may be able to offer assembly again later on.

I'm okay with my chips (about 190) going to whomever as long as they're delivered to me timely. I understand depression can be tough to deal with and I think it would be best if someone were to take over for ragn and let him deal with his personal issues.

I'll take a look at my component supplies and see what the odds are of getting more of what I'll need, but no promises. And be aware that your chips will not be assembled until the components I ordered for your miner have arrived, which may result in your order being delayed relative to the rest of the orders from this group buy. I'll let you know the situation in my assembly thread once I've had a chance to make a proper assessment.
I have personally paid for assembly in Europe (Burnin) as this chips were going there (EU) in the first place, when all the changes are being done, assembly should also be considered.
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but ragingazn628 is in the USA, not the EU.
I think Ryepdx could give us all some peace of mind by taking over shipping.

If we can get Avalon to update the shipping info to Ryepdx's address, it seems clear that we should do that.
We need someone who is able to handle this in a professional manner and give us feedback on a regular basis until the chips are delivered. I have no hard feelings for Raging and I hope he makes a full recovery. The pressure of hundreds of customers asking about huge transactions that he is responsible for won't be helpful for his recovery and it has the potential to make him a lot of enemies if things go wrong, which could make his situation go from bad to worse. I'm still not entirely confident that we're not being scammed. I think Ryepdx could give us all some peace of mind by taking over shipping.
