Hi guys
I'm checking in with Zotac 1060 6gb amp (Micron mem).

I'm getting ~23.7 Mh/s (ETH)
PL 70%
Voltage 830mV
Core ~1580 mHz
Memory +740mHz

Are those settings safe to use?
Can i make some damage with overclocking memory that high, while undervolting (and underclocking) core?

I think i have good stats, but i'm conserned if it's too good to be true.

I would really apreciate your feedback.
Thanks

So interesting to see these settings.

I never touch the core clock but my memory clock is so much higher. Power wise, I'm always at 70-72.

I think this setting is the most stable for my Galax GTX 1060 6GB OC edition with Hynix memory and dstm equihash miner 0.5.7.
Efficiency is not my target at the moment. In flypool I can get avg 330 H/s.

I've ever done many tests on Galax GTX 1060 6GB OC dedition for my friend as well. But the hashrate never reached that high.
The highest it got was around 310 sol/s (power limit 85%). Maybe you tested with only 1GPU while my tests were done with 8GPUs, so that's why the result is much different.

What was your core clock at 310

So what speeds are you getting on ETH with micron memory.
micron mostly can do around 23.4 mhs with a 650 memoc

thanks. is very similar to samsung.

My new EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC 3GB GDDR5 with single fan is just arrived.
I had a quick test, the performance is quite good, I got the deal with 214$/GPU, so far so good.
I really like this GPU because it could achieve good hashrate and price is reasonable as well.
So I rethink about the next deal for P104-100, after finish some tests with ETH, I will make final decision.

Hello.
I am using 2x1060
Gigabyte Geforce gtx 1060 windforce oc 3gb  -- hynix memory
MSI Geforce gtx 1060 3gb oc  -- hynix memory

Mining cryptonight (monero, sumo, etc) and getting 503 H/s with both cards.
What you think, is it good? Can i push them some more?

Using xmr-stak 2.2.0
with settings like Threads 32 and Blocks 36, in MSI mem 650, CC 100, and power 100% (does nothing if i put it to 65%, takes 220 w from wall both cases)

I've got 3 evga 1060s
2 ftw+2 19.49 and 19.517 Mhs
1 ssc. 22.447 Mis

The ftw+ were on sale for 280 and the ssc I got for 315.

But what I dont understand is that the actually same card when minning alone can overclock more then when is mining with other.
Long story short: GPU and CPU crystals are carved out of round silicon wafers. It is considered that crystals cut from the center are better in performance and stability than those from the outer edge.
A lower grade crystal will take higher voltage to achieve the same frequency and will generate more errors outside of its standard frequency.

http://www.techradar.com/news/computing-components/graphics-cards/how-gpus-are-made-1000923/2

I worked as a Process Engineer for Intel for about 3 years. My duties included data mining and trying to find correlations between datasets. I know CPUs ate different than GPUs but the process is more or less the same. There was very little correlation between yield and bin and position on the water. It really was just luck with where defects landed and what kind of defects that existed.

Can someone give me some advice? I am going to build my first rig and plan on having 6 GPU's. I am planning on mining etherium and other alt coins, basically whatever I can mine to make me money.

I was thinking of getting 1060's because I heard they are the best model for ROI, but I don't know what brand to get? I would like to place an order today or tomorrow for them and I am willing to switch to a different card if it helps.

Hi, in the UK can you actually buy the mining only cards?

Also, im looking at buying some more 1060s any variation between the minis and the normal ones and Is micron memory as good as samsung?

Hi to all got a big problem:

Just buyed

4x gtx 1060 6gb zotac
1x Asus Z270-p
Celeron
128SSD
4gb ram ddr4
EVGA 1000GQ

I've started with a brand new WIN 10, with just antivirus, malware bytes and ethminer (cuda optimized version).

Afterburner core +0 +50 +100 (no big changes opn mh/s) + 600 memory clock

After a few days of working and some bios setup like PCI EXPRESS from auto to GEN1 and 4g option I was scoring 90-98 mh/s

Then I've add to the ALLOW list of malwarebytes the ethminer and POP 110-120 mh/s.

I was happy as a kid on xmas and after 4-5 houirs of works I've noticed that I've lost like 3mh/s so i reboot the CMD and now I'm working at 94-95... WTF happened? any ideas?

What I've done now:

Stopped all the background services
Delete all the useless programs and malware bytes too.
Changed 2 option in the nvidia cpanel
Tried also the cuda parallel

but nothing changed I can't get back to the 112-120mh/s.

P.S. I have a lot of problem with the motherboard GPU, the monitor now is connected to the internal gpu and if I see the GPU list I just saw the 4x1060, the internal gpu happear and disappear, depends on reboot dunno.

sorry for my bad english hope you can understand all and help me.

merry xmas and happy new year to all

So now all new cards are with not fast memory? I was planning to buy others.... I'll need to change

The Asus GTX 1060 3G OC "White" edition cards I just bought from New Egg came with Samsung memory, yet performed just like Hynix out of the box. From what I gathered reading other posts here, Samsung memory is supposed to have higher initial Ethash performance and accept much more mem overclocking to get to around 29 MH/s. So far I've only pushed the mem overclock by 300, and was able to get ~22 MH/s out of them (implying about 1 MH/s per 100 MHz of mem overclock).

They do quite well at Equihash with stock settings (~295 Sols/s each) and Lyra2v2 is also pretty good out of the box (22.8 MH/s). I haven't played with the overclocks much on Equihash - one card was running at 1866 while the other is at 1936, so I "OC'ed" the first one to match the second - and I only mined a Lyra2v2 coin for a few minutes to check speed, not actually do useful work (mainly because that coin is VTC, which seems to screw me over no matter which pool I use).

Well looks good, i get the same with my samsungs and cant pass 650~700 without a soon crash when multiple GPU mining. (using 65% power)

i had the same experience with gainward 1060 6gbs model

all of the cards I owned had Samsung memory, got the new batch, was looking forward building that rig because I really love these cards, and baaam, these had hynix, giving 20% less

y u put crap memory chips, y Huh
oh well

Coz, they have reserved the Samsung memory chips for mining cards I guess.
