@shibob: That are impressive figures. You are lucky to purchase these cards at such a price. I even as the manufacturer over here and they pointed me to the only vendor who sells them but it's totally overpriced.

I would get some without hesitation at a reasonable price. Well done!

Samsung memory usually clocks high enough.  Much better than anything else.
Where Micron usually starts to create "issues" around +550,  Hynix around +400,  Samsung can push highest.

Given the fact Windows Nvidia driver "adds/removes' 200mhz off the OC, the effective +OC rate should be (950-200) = 750 /2 = 375 which makes the video card memory operational speed at 2375 mhz.
default is 2000 mhz.

My Samsung ones are running fine for months at 2300 mhz.

Shibob:

At the price you got them that's a much better deal than almost any card at this time. Though I think you just won the silicon lottery since most cards can't clock that high and mine with stability for a prolong duration. Still those are really good numbers.

Hi GordoLui, Thank you very much!
I'm not sure that I'm lucky or not, but most of the cards in this package (a group buy with 400 GPUs) achieve about the same performance. Hopefully we could run them with high stability, actually these tests just in more than 3 days, and we tend to reduce a bit OC, even though I think hashrate should be reduced not much.

I just bought Galax GTX 1060 6GB and indeed its memory using Hynix. I've tried overclock / underclock and maximum results are 300-327 Sol/s in Equihash. My settings are:
power limit 90
temp limit 75 (manual)
core clock +225
mem clock +575
fan 60 (manual)

power usage 105-110W (ewbf)
eficiency 2.8-3.1 Sol/W (ewbf)
temp 66-70

UPDATE:
efficiency >3 Sol/Watt, reduce power limit to 85

+225 on core?  That's pretty high.  What's the effective clocks while mining?  That's what matters though.

Afaik, equihash need core speed instead memory speed.
Update config:
Power 80, temp 70, core +200, mem +400, fan 70. Got 295-310 Sol/s with less than 100 Watt.

Equihash does need higher core speed but at 80% power limit you're already lowered the voltage applied to core.  So that +200 core bump isn't actually doing anything with realtime clocks.  Check the actual clocks while mining.
p.s I get 300+ Sol/s with +75 core and +400 memory 85% power ~ 98w

where do i get actual clocks? gpuz?
here is my latest atempt with my galax gtx 1060 6gb hynix.

It's hard to buy more RX480 and RX580 now. So I purchase some P106-100 mining cards to test and really satisfy with the performances and I'm going to build a new mini farm with this card.
Basically each MSI P106-100 mining card costs around 251$ and average hashrate is about 25.1Mh/s.

The first quick test with 2 GPUs, test's duration: 16hrs: Power Limit: 65%, Core: +0, Mem: +950, average hashrate: 25.2Mh/s.

The second test with 8GPUs, test's duration: 86hrs: Power Limit: 65%, Core: +46, Mem: +740, average hashrate: 25.05Mh/s.

I just wonder with what kind of memory you get these cards when they can reach +1000. My Samsung cards cannot exceed +700 when mining ETH. Hynix cards cannot go above +450, +500 is like winning a gold medal. Maybe I do something wrong.

I think it is the luck of the draw most of the times. But then again you want them to be stable rather than fast.

Just finished a quick test yesterday with few rigs: 8x MSI P106-100 6Gb. I like the design, and price is reasonable with ~215$/GPU.

Stock setting: 21.5 Mh/s
At OC setting: Power limit 75%, Core: +0, Mem: +700, the hashrate of each GPU is very stable at about 25.5Mh/s.

I cant find these anywhere, who sells them

RealSwissMiner : possibly Smiley   Nowadays finding a Samsung 1060 is like winning the lottery.

I went through Evga, Asus, Gigabyte - same crappy Hynix. Returned all except the Asus because the store where I got it has this new policy 'no returns on video cards'.
The Asus 3 GB 1060 Gtx - 55% TDP,  Ethereum 17.5 mh/s,  Equihash - 245-250 sol/s.
quite hot and noisy fans. Have to keep them at 55% to sustain 50 C.
That Asus card is probably better for gaming than mining.

In Which  3gb gtx 1060 card I have the biggest chance to get a samsung oraz micron memory  ? I Heard about asus. Is it true ?

I recently bought a Gigabyte and Zotac card, the GB had Samsung the Zotac Hynix. Both 2 samples barely qualify for any statistic. Only thing I can say is that on more than 10 Gigabyte cards I bought I never had Hynix memory - always Samsung or Micron.

I got a 3gb gigabyte WF2OC with Hynix.  Check on the serial number should start with 16xx or 17xx.  The first two digits is the year and XX is the week.  The earlier batches of 2017 might still have micron or samsung but not the newer ones imo.

Interesting I will check that on my samsung card Smiley

The 1060 I have is from 1741 so late 2017 - quite surprising that it has samsung memory. I have a 1070 with samsung memory and that one is from late 2016. Maybe someone found some old memory stocks in the factory Cheesy

and what about Asus 3 GB 1060 Gtx. Do they have hynix too ? any experience >?
All 1060s are Hynix now. Buy AMD cards for Ethash algo coin mining.

So I maybe ask a stupid question, but is there any way to undervolt these cards, or it's just limited by GPU Boost 3.0? I want to enhance efficency on my MSI Gaming X 1060s. Their power limit is 10% higher than Gigabyte G1 on same setting (60% on G1 is same as 50% on Gaming X). Currently I have around 3.60 on G1 and 3.20 on Gaming X (Gaming X cards are 3GB models), so maybe I can push them a little bit more with less power draw.

Also, here are my settings. + 135 Core, +450 Memory and 50% PL in Afterburner. I would really appreciate every reply, suggestion or anything.
