I could really use a tip here. I have followed the instructions or lack of and am still not able to view the interface. I'm sure I'm missing something . . .

I have the latest firmware for the raspberry pi. It boots up to a command prompt that prompts for

hashracontroller login:

then password.

I cannot find the default settings anywhere in the manuals or online. Can someone please help me out here? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Fyi, using the controller I'm running at 3.0
3.6 would be nice Wink
If i where you, i would use user:pi pw:hashra  Grin

Thanks, I'm curious . . . Where did you come up with that? Lucky guess? Should I have known, lol?
Just trial and error.....  Grin

Shocked That worked! Thank you very much. I'm still not able to view the interface though after following the instructions in the manuals or lack there of. After logging into hashracontroller command prompt I see this screen. I have tried re-booting and removing the line from the text file that I added to change password.

What am I doing wrong?  Huh

Do I need to install Raspian from Noobs before writing the hashra image file to the disk?

Thanks!

you have to go to the controller with your browser Wink
or if you like ssh view type this in

Code:
 sudo screen -r SCRYPT
to see the underlying miner running.

The Desktop is not installed on the img, to save space and performance

Sorry can cgminer control more than 10 gridseed? Whenever I add an 11th, it does show up in cgminer with hash rate but never accepts anything?

GSD 10 is the one. I added them one by one with cgminer running
https://i.imgur.com/y2f1pwL.jpg

Here's the command line options to run cgminer:

--scrypt --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=850,chips=5,modules=1,usefifo=0 --hotplug=1

change --hotplug to 5

Yup, tried that. Narrowed the issue to one of the 11 units. Tried cpuminer as well as bfgminer aswell. They can detect and start hashing but this particular gridseed never gets any accepted shares. I'm thinking its a DOA. Since its now isolated, I'm going to try to see if its possible to flash its bios or play with clock freq

Unlike the others, only a green light is blinking...

Yes, was going to suggest you run it on it's own to isolate which one it is. Let us know if you get it to work! I also had one like you that would not get any accepted shares on scrypt. SHA worked though. Tried everything I could from different mining software to different hosts/controllers and freq's. Tried running it on its own for well over 12 hours but it would never get any accepted shares....and of course the pools wont show it since it is essentially not doing any work.

Yep that sounds exactly like what I have here. Will keep you posted if I figure out something.

I'm going through the same exact thing now.

Did the new firmware help?
Do I _have_ to use a power connection or will USB provide sufficient power?

Just flashes green with no accepted shares, DOA?

Have a question...would it be possible to inline a small power switch to the black fan wire?

I was thinking of inlining this switch on the black fan wire so that I can turn the fan on/off as needed.

https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9609

Thoughts?

Yes there's no problem with it, except that you need to safely isolate the switch pins since they will lie near or in contact with the aluminium fins

What about a lump of hot glue on solder points to prevent contact with the heat sink?

What would happen if the wires from fans do touch the "body" of the miner? Or are not isolated well enough after fans have been cut.

Is anybody else's "Accepted Shares" on cgminer not matching pool data?

Hashra emailed me today:

11:20 AM (6 hours ago)

We are just about to upload a new img onto hashra.com/support in the next 12 hours.
This sorts out some bug fixes, maybe better to use that one if you can.

Also please make sure you update the firmware for when using for the first time.
Just click on "UPDATE CONTROLA".

I'm using standard cgminer.

It's most likely USB port power (5V) due to a missing trace on the pcb, so they added that jumper.
Definitely an older version pcb.
That's my educated guess.

Wolfey2014

I think the same, my modules have a slight different layout in that spot

By the way, I'm just desoldering the fans wires (too loud for scrypt mining!) but I would like to found a solution to easily reconnect them if needed...any idea?

I'm thinking to something like a male and female adapter (like that ones http://img.dxcdn.com/productimages/sku_214072_2.jpg ) connected together and with the fan lines injected as well, but probably the result is pretty bulk... Roll Eyes

You could use a male/female inline jack of some sort...prewire the female to your pod and the male to your fan.
You'd end up with a tail hanging out of each ready to plug together if you re-mount the fan and fire it up.
Or you can just leave the fan mounted and unplugged if/until.
It's all at your own risk of course Wink
Good luck!
Wolfey2014

Thanks, well yes something like that...Since I would like to keep the fans mounted I'll probably take a male and female pcb plug, wire them,  add the fan line and isolate the pins with resin for electrical insulator

Did you enter the IP in your webbrowser ? You are not able to see the interface via ssh-connection. There is no connection necessary, you don't need the ssh password to connect to the hashra gui. Btw. i figured out, that the hashra firmware hashes with really good 7200kh, BUT, the pool only sees around 3000kh.......
