I am a meat Popsicle
I am assuming the micro usb on the board is the power and the full size usb on the board is to connect to the hub
I bought this thing cause it can dual mine but I guess i might be screwed there thanks to this control board

that's correct.

Ok, then let's try to update it to the last or maybe to the 2.0.2 version ...

access wiibox.net (use google chrome)
create an account ...
search for devices be sure that you are in a 192.168.x.x (NAT)
bind your device
update your device ...

be sure to put in all info in https://i.imgur.com/TrUMtqy.png
I have given up on the little board it freezes up my whole network when i try to access it almost all the time, have no idea why. cannot open any web pages and it just hangs when trying to access. Someone else gave me another option just need a little help there though.
They gave me a link to a version of cgminer that runs these
http://cryptomining-blog.com/1245-download-cgminer-3-8-5-for-windows-btc-mining-on-gridseed-5-chip-gc3355-asics/
But i need someone to explain to me how to do the following:
in order for this cgminer to detect your ASIC device you need to install a WinUSB driver over the virtual COM to USB driver

Is there a way to slow down the fans on the miners? They are so loud that it sounds like it's going airborne Smiley If there is no way to slow them down yet, how can i detach them from the miners and that i connect another, slower fan? Or is the only way to cut the wires?

you could desolder ... but I think for most it's the easiest way to cut off ... maybe you just put a 3pin connector on it so you can attach later an other one if you want too ...

This is the screen i get to, and when I translate the information in the green it is No BTC equipment!  and the other one is No LTC equipment

the screen of the wiibox shows that you can access it ... however ...

you have it connected to the PC?

a normal setup would be like this ...

Code:
+-------+          +------------+           +--------+
| miner | --usb--> | controller | --rj45--> | router |
+-------+          +------------+           +--------+

is this your setup? have you entered a btc and a scrypt pool? in the config page?

I have wiibox conntected to router and usb of wiibox connected to hub and miner connected to hub. wiibox does not see miner, I have all settings for pools entered in wiibox. ALso how to i check firmware of wiibox and or update it.
See below for my setup
Also as i said part of the time i go to the ip address for the device it just hangs and causes my whole internet to go to shit and i have to reboot my router, never had this before

Does the miner blinks when connecting to the Hub ... green / red?
Have you tested the device straight to the Computer?

Is this one of those first units? red?
Miner is red finned, it works fine on pc getting upwards of 400KH/s on it.. The box is my problem, now all the box does when i try to detect it through wiibox.net or log into it is freeze up my entire network and i have to reboot my router. I am beginning to hate this little wiiboard
Below is as far as i get with the board when i can get into it:

If you don't want to run a bunch of cpuminers, I have posted modified cgminer sources to allow LTC-only mode: https://github.com/dtbartle/cgminer-gc3355.

Not sure if this is old news but I removed the fan from one of mine today and in still air running LTC at 850MHz it gets barely warm. I think will go ahead and build them into a case with just a small fan pushing air out of the back.

Nope, I've been waiting for someone to verify this would work.  Thanks for being the guinea pig!

I didn't want to try this myself as the Asicminer Cube will not function without a fan drawing current (it's an overheat protection thing, I don't think they have temp sensors).

I think it'll be time to cut the fan off mine tonight. It's a waste of power and sounds like a jet engine.

So can I run on 12v 3.75 amps for tonight. I have a 12v 6a coming but might be tomorrow or Friday before i see it. Thanks

I have mine mining scrypt with 12V 1.5A.  No problems.  Will not work in dual mode though.

I hate to break the news to you summerside.

You might have a DOA controller.

I have a tp-link from lightningasic (well 2 altho 1 is a paperweight). I can only get 1 to work.

I spent about an hour on the first one before i decided maybe this thing is just fucking broken.

Sure enough i plug in the 2nd one using the exact same cables. BAM i was mining.

I would personally just hook a usb hub up to your comp and run as many instances of the cpuminer as u have gridseeds. Sucks...but it will work
