Hi guys  what its the config / parameter in command line  for apply  the "intensity" ?  in SMOS

xmr-stak-v2.4.1-cuda8

Code:
--currency monero7 -o stratum+tcp://[POOL:PORT] -u [WALLET] -p [WORKER]
  Huh

I dont figure out how apply Intensity  for getting 800  H/s with RX570
claymore gives 840 H/s with RX570

oc settings
-cvddc 900 -mvddc 900 -cclock 1100 -mclock 2050

change the algo.  Haven is using a variant of cryptonight-heavy.
Yes, but it's a bit different than SUMO's original CN-Heavy I'm not sure if XMRig supports it.
I've merged also Haven PR for our version of XMR-STAK, but it's only working with Nvidias... there is some problem with AMDs, that needs to be fixed.

yup. that's why I wrote it's a variant of cryptonight-heavy and not cryptonight.

'm trying to download xmr stak through the github link but it leads me to an older release page. even if I click on the newer release page the xmr stak version is xmr stak 64? and somehow it doesn't detect any of my gpus at all

This is the latest 2.4.2 release for Windows. It says 64 because it runs on Windows 64-bit OSes:
https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/download/2.4.2/xmr-stak-win64.zip

i have no idea how to make it work

the older version before the fork is so much different in terms of settings in config/amd files

sometimes I get amd backend not found, other times i get all sorts of errors

Can someone please provide full settings for amd vega 64 cards? I can't get this to work...
Any miner is fine, sbrminer or xmrstak, as long as it works.
Help

I would go with Cast-XMR. It just works.

Are older CPU's really that slow in cryptonight?

I have a rig with an old Xeon 5645 (2.4 Ghz, 6 core, 12 Mb cache AES, SSE 4.2) that gives 200 H/s with xmr-stak / xmrig.

A tiny mobile i7 7500u 2 cores makes 135 and a Ryzen 1700 around 530.

Are newest CPU's really more efficient using AES, does software use other instructions for cryptonight, or what?

I was really expecting more from a 6 core / 12 Mb CPU, but I already checked, and yes, it's average for this CPU.

Number of cores really doesn't matter. What matters most is amount of L3 cache size and clock speed of the processor when running mining software.

The Intel Xeon 5600 Family maxes out at 12MB L3 cache. That means 6 single threads or some combination of single and dual threads that fully load the 12MB L3 cache.

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/TYPE-Xeon%205600.html

The best processor from this family to mine with is the X5687 (not the X5690/X5680/X5670 etc).

The reason is clock speed when mining. The X5687 has 4 cores but will run at 3.733 GHz with 3 or 4 cores.
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/Intel-Xeon%20X5687%20-%20AT80614005919AB.html

doing 1x, 1x, 2x, 2x threads on an X5687 will give you around 275 H/s

All the 5600 hex core processors will run at 3.6 GHz (or less) with 3 or more cores.

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/Intel-Xeon%20X5690%20-%20AT80614005913AB%20(BX80614X5690).html
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/Intel-Xeon%20X5680%20-%20AT80614005124AA%20(BX80614X5680).html

That means all 6-core processors, even the 6-core X5690, will be slower than the 4-core X5687.
