Hi Gunthar!

Started my bot at the first time, and the bot bought the coins.

My % of Gain was 1.2

Now, for example with DASH:

price target to buy: 0.01681544
price target to sell: 0.01720402

If I calculate, that is 2% not 1.2%.

So how does the bot calculate this price?
You want to have 1.2% at net of fees (it adds poloniex fees which are always calculated at 0.25)
Also you have to calculate roundings which is fixed at 8 digits.
The bot maths are right.
~Gun

EDIT: 0.25% for buy + 0.25 for sell orders Wink

Can you share with us your settings/parameters Gunthar?
Because of testing purposes of my running instances i only use default settings. If you scroll this thread you will find a lot of users sharing their configs and their profit/loss.
My suggestion is: depending on your trading attitude, you can lower the % of Gain to have multiple recurrent trades per day or you can set it higher to have less trades but with more profit.

Have you enabled Bloody Mary, or no?

So this means that the bot is adding 0.25% based on the setting. Meaning when we put a target income per trade of 1.2% then it actually sells it at 1.45% of the buy price? Is that correct? If it is, then that is logical and I didn't know until now.

I've got this error when I click " start GunBot"

Any clue?

the clue was already in your PM

this bud, which is in the welcome letter:

Maybe your Windows box didn't get node.js pre-installed. If this is the case and you get an error message alike "node is not a valid command" or similar, please follow the easy steps here and start your GUNBOT again.

Hi Gunthar!

Don't you think that the default SECURITY_MARGIN: 60 is too risky?

It means that when a bot buy something and the coin price drop 60% then sell all the coins? Something like stop limit?

So when it set to 60% I can loose my investment 60%?

That is too much. Can I set this number to 5-10%?

EDIT: what is your settings now, please can you share with us?

I dont think that option is even enabled anymore, it was part of the Aggressive/Moderate strategy. Actually the limit is on the max % Balance part. When we used that stop limit, by using a low % like 5 or 10%, it would happen on some coins that would have been sold overnight because a lot of coins o have a variance like that. So i put default at 60% leaving the user free to set their own limit.

What does it mean the bloody mary strategy?

your Gunbot bought some LTC earlier for a lower price, for example: 0,00411000.
Gunbot is not selling all coins directly, some of them will be stored on your Poloniex account.
When they are sold a while later for the price you wrote: 0,00428843 you have profit.

In the meantime when the price is going up, your Gunbot can buy more coins and these will be sold
with profit too.

THis is the right answer.
~Gun

Ok.
But I am not sure.
I stopped the bot as soon as I saw that , means before it could buy anything.
I keep an eye on it´s actions  Wink

So far the bot is working great.
Did not make me rich within the 2 days, but it is slowly making tiny amounts of profit ....
You did a very good job with this bot Gun Smiley

I am happy that I bought it!

Gun.
I found a problem with the bot!
I made a screen shot, but I don´t have a webspace to save it, so I can´t show it here!

The bot sometimes sells for less than it has paid for ...

For example it bought LTC for 0,00431838 and sold it for 0,00428843 !!!

I don´t think it is meant to be this way Huh

I don't think this is a bug.
I.m.o. it is not recommended but did you enabled Bloody Mary?

If not...

It could be that your Gunbot bought some LTC earlier for a lower price, for example: 0,00411000.

That's my experience.

If it is a bug anyway i'll hope Gunthar can take a look at it...
