@decoded: That picture is so huge!

Anyway, in my experience using the bot, that's normal. It is just that the bot was not yet able to sell off the alt coins it bought. It is however on your open oders already and just waiting to be filled.

Not sure if I'm supposed to have so many buys and so little sells. Is this fine?

Read this bro and understand what it is
It is very important to understand that what is shown on Poloniex as "Estimated Holdings Balances" is your gain + the coins you hold right now at the price they are valued "in this moment" at markets. Of course if prices are down because the BTC pump, it shows a negative.
As long as you leave the bot running, it will execute those "SELL" orders you can see in your "open orders" at polo and you will see that temporary negative, becoming your profit.
Hope it helped

Hi Gunthar!

Started my bot at the first time, and the bot bought the coins.

My % of Gain was 1.2

Now, for example with DASH:

price target to buy: 0.01681544
price target to sell: 0.01720402

If I calculate, that is 2% not 1.2%.

So how does the bot calculate this price?

So my opinion at the first day:

The bot bought the coins. ETH, ETC, LTC, XMR, DASH.

After that every alts went down, so now the bot waiting to sell and placed the sell orders.

I am about 4% loss after the first day.  Sad

any chance to make something like a generator of all statistics from log file? average profit/loss, best crypto,  worst crypto based on individual trading history?
like this

~snip

 Wink Grin

I have started to collect bot trades in a local database yeah. If we succeed on that without breaking cross platform compatibility, we could create grpahics like that Wink

I'm working on it, poloniex one is really confusing indeed. I have it running on my copy, what i'm trying to refine is the database compatibility with cross platforms: people run this on ubunut, Osx, win, rasp etc...
For now there is the FrilledShark excel which is looking awesome everyday more https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A2jfBvK80u7A3ljk_Hd8FoT6U1oyIeFI7y1RyXfLql8/pubhtml

is it necessary to restart the bot ~ every (1 or 2) day if you have more pairs running?
because I have seen today that most pairs seems have stopped at 2017/01/31

Code:
RECOMMENDED CURRENCIES TO TRADE TODAY at 2017/01/31 20:17:19

 Huh

Uhm not sure what you meant. If you meant there is nothing on recommended currencies, it depends on MIN VOLUME and MIN VARIANCE you set in configs.

no, what I meant is that it seems the bot is not running active since 2 days and no trades have happened since 2 days...
There are 2 files in your bot folder log.txt and err.txt
Please send me those in PM

ooooooooooooooook  Cheesy
time for some clarifications for some users that apparently are new to this Wink

This is a loop happening everytime that BTC/USD swings. When BTC price goes down i get a lot of PMs saying "Yooooo man you are the best! I'm having 15% profit!!!!"
The day after, when the BTC price goes to the moon i receive the same messages: "Hey Gunthar can you help? I'm down by 32%"

ooooooooooooooook Cheesy Here is how it works:

1.- Forget this page (i mean it...just forget it exists): https://poloniex.com/balances
2.- use this page https://poloniex.com/tradeHistory and follow these insctructions i'm going to give you:
      - Click on the first row of that history: it will open that coin history only
      - On the top right you will find the date selector: fix a date to start until today
      - Above the date selector there it the Profit/loss: look at it. If it is positive, PM me and congrat for my bot
      - If it is negative do this: look the long buy series and the long sell series: you bought more coins than what you sold (you can see that from "Total Buys/Total Sold" at
        top centre
      - Click on a random single row of your trading: it will enable or disable that trade from the calculations: do this on all buy orders that have not been sold yet, until "Total
Buys/Total Sold" are the same amount
      - Look at Profit/Loss again: If it is positive, PM me and congrat for my bot

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks!
Hope it helped

How can I calculate at what price were purchased coins that have not put to sell orders?
(some portion of those that have been bought bot successfully sold.)

this pair is running and the price of the coin is growing, but the bot did not place orders for sale, why?
The bot can do it because it is able to get the "order Number" from poloniex using the API. We cant since in the user's dashboard there is not the order number, unless you go tru your entire trading history doing maths. There is an easy way to just sell those coins tho, if you dont want to wait for the bot to do it (which again it will happen only when the ask/bid volume is enough): just go to this page https://poloniex.com/tradeHistory#analysis/NAUT/BTC and look for "Average buy price" on top left. Apply the % GAIN you wish and you are good at profit.
Hope it helped
Thx for ("Average buy price" + % GAIN), sold it myself with + =)

Do you think the bloodymary is better in it's current state? It's still in testing, from the way you've put it. It seems to have more anti-dump features, though.
I think the bloody mary is not something i would ever use. Some users wanted that option and i coded it.

Does the bot make adjustments to the lows and highs so as to not buy a coin when it's low but then be unable to sell if the coin starts to crash or something of that sort?

There's a stop-loss type function, that's set to 60% by default.
I answered this question a few topics ago: that feature is not effective anymore as it has been replaced by the buy limit (right now i'm revising that formula too)

Gunbot is doing fine so far, trading 7 pairs on a Odroid XU4!-)

One quick question:
Is "MAX_BALANCE:" to use on one pair calculated off "Total Balance (BTC)" or "Total Balance" minus "on Orders"?

The Bot so far never used my whole BTC Balance and it looks like I can trade more than a 100% all summed up!-)
I'm aware that it might leave the bot without funds on a pair "some day" but so far it has not happened!

May I ask, what pairs are you trading?

https://i.imgsafe.org/1c2a463c63.jpg

got a bit scared yesterday!-) and I'm still figuring out the best settings.....

What kind of app is it? (that shows all your trading pairs)

It doesn't look like an app specially for this. It's some Linux app that allows you to tag and track different screens (or some other screen-like program)

I just give them a name when I start them. its http://pm2.keymetrics.io/
and I start each instance with
Code:
pm2 start gunbot-DASH/1000trades.js --name DASH
for example.

Nice is that you can watch logs of all pairs together with
Code:
pm2 logs
or single with
Code:
pm2 logs DASH
All of them together is a "mess" but enough to check occasionally.
