Hello, I was wondering if you have a discord or somewhere I can ask questions for help on strategies/config ?

I'm kind of new to this and just want a bit of guidance/knowledge so I can get used to the bot and adjust my config depending on how the market is for the coins im running.

Config.js changes and explanations:
Since the v4.x we now use TA lib to calculate all indicators, Trend Watcher included. Default settings for Trend Watcher are already tuned for a short term watchdog: 5 to 8 candlesticks. You can tune and play with the following settings, to make Trend Watcher fit your trading style:

Given the following array we collect from "Tickers":

-"period_storage_ticker": 300, //we collect an array of 300 prices
-"interval_ticker_update": 25000, //we collect one price every 25000 ms (25 seconds)
These are the used variables in the Trend Watcher formula:
-"LASTPOINTS": 1, //How many elements should be taken from the end of the array to calculate the last point.
-"AVGPOINTS": 10, //How many elements should be taken to calculate an average.
-"AVGMINIMUM": 0.00000001, //Ignore (i.e. return null) if the average is below a minimum
-"EMA1": 200, //We use the latest 200 prices of the 300 collected as EMA1 (Each one every 25seconds - see above)
-"EMA2": 50, //We use the latest 50 prices of the 300 collected as EMA2 (Each one every 25 seconds - see above)
-"PERIOD": 15, //We use 15 minutes candlesticks in the EMA formula
Results for TrendWatcher: if Trend > 1 is an UPTREND, if Trend is < 1 it is a DOWNTREND.

Hi all, I just joined the Gunbot community today. I've had a few problems (including crashes) so I'm trying to learn what to touch and what to leave alone.

Anyway, it did its first trade for me today and made me about 15 cents - i'm not complaining, though, that's about 2% before commissions which is what it was set to do. So far, it's about what I expected.

I'll report back once I have some more data.

As a Gunbot user all the way back to this past February....I can attest to a reasonable 1% a 24 hour period, sometimes less sometimes more but over thirty days that was an average. Not to overstate it but this past few months with all the turmoil in btc and alts....its getting tougher...Gunthar has come up with more strategies to help and it takes some tuning. Also, he has added exchanges....the latest is Cryptopia.

about 1% daily in normal market conditions, some "speculators" are able to get up to 4/5% daily (i coudnt...but i'm not a speculator, i'm a coder)
Those guys from GBU are able to go up to 10% with some settings: never digged on that tho.

Bull markets like this on btc are weird. Example: before 1st of august i had 2btc with a value of 5k usd. Now i have 1.25btc as estimated holdings with a value of over 5kUSD. The problem is: am i in crypto or in fiat?
I hope you see my point but that's opening to a different range of discussion about trading crypto in general.

How long can take ROI of this price ($360-$400) if we invest let say 0.5 BTC?

Not sure if stupid or trolling. The software has a working GUI on Windows (not sure for Mac) and maybe not the latest version (see last comment in thread/haven't checked that one since it's been a couple hours since release).

The price of Gunbot is based in BTC, not fiat equivalent. This was discussed before, and it was rejected. Gunbot is very cheap for what it offers, as is.

That just complicates the payment part of GunBot, and there's more than enough work to do as is.

I'd be pretty keen to try this, but the price in BTC is getting a little hefty ... maybe set a a dynamic BTC price based on a static USD amount?

I have to chime in on this. I stopped using it a while after getting it due to the fact it never did anything after one of the updates.

I re-visited it again a few weeks ago and updated to the newest version (back them) set up my pairs (yes you need to make adjustments and nobody seems to want to help even on the telegram channel, just whine)and started using it. It paid for itself+ within a week of turning 2BTC, so about 7% income in a week. Not bad. Not the smartest bot though. Over the past 2 days It's been making trades at 0.00% profit and placing double orders on Bittrex. 
Not sure what that's about, since nothing has changed in the settings. I'm letting it run, as it's better than nothing and I already paid for it. 

Overall I think it's worth the investment if you let it do it's thing and set a low % profit minimum and just forget about it.
