When I click Test Settings for the Bitstamp settings the bot returns the following error, "The given connection settings do NOT work properly, the connection to the API failed. It then adds, "Credentials are invalid" and lists the parameters from my BTC-e account! i.e. funds, BTC amount etc. I assume this is a bug? I am using version 0.0.9.0.2

So who's willing to clue me in on how to deal with the current crazy spikes?
MACD crossover emulates you an indication of fast and slow EMAs crossover which are essentially mid-long term indicator of uptrend or downtred (fast EMA crossing slow EMA up is uptrend and the opposite is downtrend). RSI provides you a shorter term indication of overbought or oversold prices.
Theorically you can mix both indicators to deal with spikes.
Whenever MACD is crossed over for uptrend and RSI is oversold in a down spike it would be a good entry point if you are currently sold.
If MACD is crossed over for downtred and RSI is oversold, it would skip the buy order, protecting you of a bull trap spike.
Whenver MACD is crossed over for downtrend and RSI is overbought in a up spike it would be a nice exit point if you are bought
MACD crossed over for uptrend and RSI overbought in this up spike would protect you from selling in a bear trap spike.
Is is a double condition setup that works nice.
The hard part is achieving the optimal values for the indicators setups after several benchmarkings...

Good idea sometimes.
So you turned off all indicators and just use the drop loss, right?

You can also open more than one of the bots and just use them to get indicator signals, without trading. Then you can trade manualy if you want.

Not easily at the moment, but I think that Stephan is working on something.

I stopped trading, I'm making much more by not trading, since it seems almost like a continues race to the top.. I have enabled only the droploss, so i will sell when the currency drops. Only then i start trading againg.
Everyday we have a new all time high, I increase the dropp loss... Sofar i keep rising with my coins on hand...
When trading with smaller drops, i lost the race upwards, because it would not drop much and my rebuy trigger never reached. So i thought it was smarter to just keep the coins in hand, till we are moving sidewards again..

It would appear that even after all the install/install, the bot is still not working properly.
As far as I can tell, it is coming down to wallet-read errors. The bot is losing track of the wallet amounts, even when it is the one that made the trades that caused the wallet contents to change. Since it is mistaken about how how much crypto is in the account, it tries to make trades that fail; causing the bot to stall.
Anybody else seeing this?

That's weird. I'm pretty sure I had something like that previously where the wallet wasn't updating (but I had a nonce error, so it's pbb not directly related), but with the 0.9.0.2b (latest), my troubles went away.

I have been trying to mess with the new min drop/min raise indicator but I'm finding difficulty. Anyone is having same trouble?
I have suggested before to add a percent indicator with a increaser/decreaser scroller for the min. drop and min. raise adjustments. I can't visualize much easier way to manage the drop/raises triggers. To warn the trader about the trading fees coverage, the box could be red until the percentage covers the the fees.
Also the All-in % discount safety could also have the same adjustment as described above. The box should be red until the amount trade is able to cover the fees.

Stephen, I have not mentioned this, because there were bigger things to fix... but should mention it now in case it is contributing or a clue to the problem.
The bot has never installed a "Start" link properly. In installs a link called "Simple Trade Bot.appref-ms", but the system does not know what to do with this link/file. I always have to "start" the bot using the "setup" file in the installation folder. I don't know if that is causing any problems.
After failing to get 9.0.2 to function properly (freezing & failing to ever make a 2nd trade), I uninstalled it again, and went in & deleted the files/folders it leaves behind after the uninstall.
After making sure there was nothing left of the install, I shut the system down, did a cold start & re-installed. I am now back on BTCe using MACD signals, and have seen the bot make 2 successful trades for the first time.
It should be noted that the wallet continues to show inaccurate data.
The bot is installed on a windows 7 machine if that helps.

I'm going to ask this here for Stephan, given that there might be a concerted interest.
BTCChina has 0% commission. I'm sure we all realise that this allows us to make money with even the slightest of fluctuations.
As a general, open question, are there are users who might be interested in this being added?
I'm not speaking for Stephan, but I'm hoping that if enough of us (who are trading already) would like this, he'll take notice and file it into his to-do list

Thanks. As a trouble-shooting test, I would like to re-install the bot & run mirrored settings with someone that has it working. I am hoping that then when yours trades & mine does not, we can dig into it & find out what is causing the problem.

The newest update is working great for me thanks Stephan! Four trades made in less than 6 hours, using 1BTC.
Which exchange, and which pair (BTC/USD?). I have yet to get it to trade properly on BTCe. I have tried BTC/USD, BTC/LTC, and LTC/USD.
BTC-E @ 40sec intervals

To clarify, no the bot is _not_ trading. It will trade once then stall forever... never trading again. It says is is, but never does. I can trade manually through it to test it, but then I get that error.

Anyone else having trouble logging into the API at Cryptsy with V0.9.0.2? It used to work fine but now I keep getting an 'Unable to authorise request..' error. I have tried regenerating new API keys as well. BTC-e works fine tho. Any ideas?
Yes, I am having the same issue. Cryptsy worked with 9.0.1 but not with 9.0.2
