The newest update is working great for me thanks Stephan! Four trades made in less than 6 hours, using 1BTC.

@r32godzilla & @Istie:
I will have a look at Cryptsy, i am not trading on that exchange myself so i need to get in there first. I will be back about this issue.

@miaoux:
I am not sure if i will add btcchina, i am waiting for more requests to add it.

I will have a look at the Wallet again.

@seanrarey and @kireinaha:
I will have a look ath both your issue. The trading here goes pretty well. Smiley

@seanrarey:
That soud very strange, it should show something else. I am still happy the trading is working anyway.

Continuing to try to troubleshoot the fail-to-trade issue.  Settings:

BTC-e
LTC/BTC
MACD engine using SMA 10/21
Using "All In" setting

To recap, bot will trade initially, but never make a 2nd trade (been testing for days now) dispite favorable market conditions.

Manual trades will go through.  I am getting this error now with manual trades, although the trades still go through:

Would love some ideas on what I am doing wrong.

1) Given the unstable nature of crypto (hah), what solution have users come up with to avoid the fact that although drop-loss is recommended at 5%, sometimes the nature of these currencies is that there are often 5% spikes downwards, and sharp returns to normal-ish levels?

I've had the 5% sell-off kick in, losing me positions at a loss before >.<

Same thing happened here on one occasion. At the moment I don't have the drop loss activated, and just hope that if there is a sudden crash overnight while I'm asleep in bed, my MA indicator will catch it soon enough and liquidate my holdings. It's a bit risky, but the way I see it, unless you set the drop-loss indicator really low (much less than 95% IMO), it's likely to get you in even more trouble. But if you set it too low... then what's the point at all? Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a cool feature to have at our dispense, but something that needs to be used carefully.

Having said that, I'd be interested if anyone else has other successful experiences with it.

I have resisted posting, trying to troubleshoot... but going to throw this out now, see if I can get some feedback on what I may be missing.

There have been a number of users indicating the bot would trade once then freeze forever.  That is what I am experiencing.

The first trade occurs predictably for the given settings, but the bot then never trades again.

Closing and starting over gives the same result.  One trade & dead.

I can trade manually through the bot without issue.

After the initial trade, the bot indicates in the Debug Log that it is trying to sell, but never does (see image below)

There is enough market raise that it should have traded.

Under the Support tab, it says they bot is sending the command to sell, and is waiting for the exchange to confirm.  Again, manual trades are successful.

I have yet to get this version of the bot to trade more then once before it hangs like this.

I welcome input on what may be going on here.

@stephan224 Can you add the btcchina exchange for trading? Smiley

Possible bug?:

I know that the all-in checkbox will save a 10% amount for safety/commission etc.
However, if I try to enter my wallet contents above this figure (manually, without using the All-in checkbox), it doesn't seem to let me sometimes - even at 95% of the wallet value (I'm trying figures about 400 coins), the box remains red.

2) If I set the drop loss lower, then sometimes I forget about it (hello ltc), and then I get a surprise update to say my holdings have been liquidated.

I know I should be paying more attention to situations for 2) - that's not a problem - I'll just be more vigilant ... any advice for 1) ?

Ops, now I saw the note on haasonline.com. Will try to tweak and see how the indicator works. Thanks!

Quote
The main target of version 0.9.0.2 was to improve stability of the APIs, provide more real-time charts and give some more insight into the software. But this new version is special, because this is the first version where the minimum raise and drop fields are disabled. You can no longer set them, they are set automatically by the software and they will ensure that you will overcome the fee costs. In overall this will lead to more trade momentum and it is easier to use now. To ensure a specific amount of drop or raise you can now use an indicator to give these signals. With this indicator you can set the buy and sell thresholds. (please note: this is of course dynamic, analyse the charts)

Hey Stephan, whats up!

I'm testing the new version, nice improvements.

Just one thing I don't get is why min. currency drop and min. currency raise are greyed out and cant be changed. Was this done on purpose?

Same here, in v0.9.0.2 Test settings gives me: Unable to Authorize request, Check Your Post Data
In v0.9.0.0 no errors and it's working. But only if I fill in public & priv key in the settings fields. (not Login and Password as suggested...)

About versions:
First I had the same problem that miaoux mentioned, target buy and sell prices are exactly the same as the actual buy and sell prices.
This seems to be fixed as Stephan said earlier. Great work and thx for the fast fix!
So downloaded and installed the software again. But the software version is still 0.9.0.2
Shouldn't this be changed to something like 0.9.0.2.1 so you can see it's changed?
Now I have downloaded 2 versions of 0.9.0.2 but i can only see the difference at the modified date.

Anyone else having trouble logging into the API at Cryptsy with V0.9.0.2? It used to work fine but now I keep getting an 'Unable to authorise request..' error. I have tried regenerating new API keys as well. BTC-e works fine tho. Any ideas?

I  would propose as a feature -

ZOOM of price graph and scrolling left right.
Now with time the graph is more and more compressed. After two days it start to become unusable.

Good idea, I would like that too.
and also for the indicators graphs, they become hard to read after a several days as well

@kireinaha:
I can not reproduce the situation you have. However, i made a few changes that maybe could solve the issue. Keep me posted about it when i release the update in a few hours.

My issue was fixed, it looks good again Smiley I just installed the latest release and will let you know if anything crazy happens. Thanks for the prompt update.

Sorry, Stephan, I've uploaded a larger screenshot. I highlighted what I'm talking about in red; notice how you can only partially see the information boxes?

I tried changing the size of the window, etc, but I can't seem to get these boxes to display correctly. Again, not a big deal, but I just thought I'd present it here in case anyone else also has troubles.

That is very strange, i agree. I will have a look.

@ kireinaha:
Can you show me a little what you mean? The resolution of that screenshot is very low.

@trictors @Furious @seanrarey:
I will have a look what might be going on with the wallet. If needed i will push an update very soon to solve everything. Are you all at trading at Bitstamp?

@miaoux:
The target prices are following the market prices, thats normal. That will happen is the last buy and sell value are both 0.

My last buy/sell values are not 0.

Last sell = 4.19.  Last buy = 4.03.
Coin position: Sold
Min currency Drop/ Raise: 0.01648000

Next action should be a buy.
Target buy price should be: 4.19 - 0.01648000 = 4.17352

Not sure if others are having this issue or not, but I can't really see the sell permitted/buy permitted/drop loss/bot active boxes in the GUI. The "last buy price" and "last sale price" boxes are also mostly obscured.
Not a major issue but a bit inconvenient. The last version worked fine for me in this aspect.
