Also, I just got ship notification for the second round, which means both batches of miners are in transit. I'll probably have them all tested and out the middle of next week.

Sweet! Looking forward to adding to my collection of operating miners.  Smiley

Hope they release a S9LN before winter. The LN versions should be great for home heating especially if you can get the right fan combo to reduce the sound. From the day I got my early batch S7's I wished they were only 2 blades, I just never got round to making smaller/modifying enclosures for them.

Who knows, there might be an all-software option ironed out by then. I did get a PIC firmware dump from an S9 but I'm not quite up to reverse-engineering a 3600-byte PIC program since I just started learning the instruction set last Friday.

Yep, another good reason to not use an online wallet. For the record I do have a Coinbase wallet, and the 1F address I've taken payments to for general business stuff for the last couple years is a Coinbase address - but all the fun stuff, the 1BURGER and the museum address and the coldS7, have been actual local wallets. Just like a manual transmission, it gives you a lot more control at the cost of a bit more work.

Also, I just got ship notification for the second round, which means both batches of miners are in transit. I'll probably have them all tested and out the middle of next week.

As of right now I've had two other people ask about 'em, so there's probably going to be a third round.

good.

now we need to do this with the s-9  if possible.  maybe after the ½ ing

we can have a fund raiser to get an s-9 for you to hack at.

Anyone want to help me figure out how to sign a message?  Maybe I'm dumb, but I've spent an hour trying to figure this out on my blockchain wallet and can't.  I've read this:  https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/18qy88/bitcoin_message_signing_and_verification/ without figuring it out.
I've found this:  https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/210353833 which states:

"What is message signing, and how can I do that?

Message signing is a way you can prove you control a particular address, and demonstrate you have ownership of the funds.

This feature is currently only available for your Imported Addresses, but will be implemented for all addresses in the future. To sign a message, go to Manage Addresses to the right of Imported Addresses. Choose which address you want to sign, and click More Options -> Sign Message.

A small window will display allowing you to provide a unique message or signature that identifies you as the owner."

Now I didn't import an address for the transaction, so maybe that's why I'm not getting it?

Coinbase doesn't even let you do this. I chatted with them and it's not even possible since they mix the transaction before sending it out. Their recommendation was to 'transfer the funds to a wallet you control' first. AAAAaaaargh!

But with a lot of PMs, begging, links to the trx and screen shots, sidehack decided to trust me.

So if you're thinking about this and your spendable btc are in Coinbase, move them to a 'real' wallet
It is possible to sign a message in coinbase, but you have to find the address that was used for the transaction. I did test this a number of months ago and will test again to confirm it still works.

We've reached quorum for the second set, so I'll be placing that order as soon as some coins confirm.

Also, heck with coin going crazy all day. Let's just say $430 at transaction time, which is about $60 over purchase plus shipping. That'll cover everything on my end including reshipping within the US. I'll see about accelerated shipping for folks who have already bought, seeing as how much coin went up between when they paid and when the order finally went through.

EDIT - round 2 is ordered. This time instead of taking 2 days and a resubmitted transaction to confirm, it was like three minutes. Thanks, the network, for doing your job this time.

Don't forget, all transactions need to be accompanied with a signed message to verify.

how is it going with your board to replace the s1 or others?

That works for me, if you two want to iron out the details. I was thinking of using the PSU as partial shipping cost, but I don't really need another one. If Phil actually wants it that works out for everyone.

Do you happen to have a need for that Enermax 1000W which comes with the S7-LN?
I was wondering if it would be possible to buy one without the PSU, since I would have a 500W Super Flower ready for this.
I'm thinking about putting the S1 "to sleep".
Also, how much would it be with shipping to Finland?

Thanks,

-Hagss

If you want sidehack can send 2 to me.

One for you and one for me.

He can send it with the psu I would keep the psu and use it towards  the shipping cost to Finland.

So would would pay normal price  same as me with a small premium over the psu to ship it to Finland.

I could repack it in a lighter box since it won't have the psu.

It is sidehack's group buy, but I don't mind  doing this for you. As I have shipped to you before.

@sidehack let us know if it is a good idea for you.

Best regards phil.

Some of the transactions I sent out yesterday hadn't even shown up on Blockchain.info inside an hour, let alone confirmed. Ridiculous.

Also, looks like I got an order through finally. So Round 1 oughtta be getting here in a couple days.
