Daniel Leon, co-founder and COO of the Celsius Network cryptolanding platform, said at a conference organized by Calcalist and Bank Leumi that bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto should receive the Nobel Prize in economics for inventing the first cryptocurrency.

Certainly, Satoshi Nakamoto himself deserved to receive that Nobel Prize for creating the famous Bitcoin that has helped many people in the past 12yrs. But somehow we don't know who's going to receive that because we don't even know his/her real name or maybe there's a group behind the name SN. But one thing is certain, he/she/they are all rich now and living comfortably if ain't dead.

But anyways, Advance Happy Satoshi Nakamoto Day! I'm honored to be a part of this movement and thankful for creating the most successful cryptocurrency of all time.  Smiley

Wow, is there a thread about this? Why? What are we celebrating exactly? This is not the last activity of satoshi. We should celebrate every 23 of April, when he sent that last email on Mike Hearn: Link

I had a few other things on my mind (as always). One is, are you planning on rejoining the community at some point (eg for code reviews), or is your plan to permanently step back from the limelight?

I've moved on to other things.  It's in good hands with Gavin and everyone.

I do hope your BitcoinJ continues to be developed into an alternative client.  It gives Java devs something to work on, and it's easier with a simpler foundation that doesn't have to do everything.  It'll get critical mass when impatient new users can get started using it while the other one is still downloading the block chain.

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed...

I think Phin was perhaps trying to make a "bitcointalk.org" centric celebration... so obviously should not be promoted outside of this website.

And probably not at all.

Last time I'll post on this and will remove from my calendar.

Thanks again!

And it hadn't even occurred to me that it has been 10 years!

Does anyone have a different date for the last time we heard from Satoshi Nakamoto?

If no one disputes this, then I will post to my social media later today Smiley

I know some people celebrate the white paper anniversary and Bitcoin Pizza Day, but thinking this is the third day that I like to observe.

I haven't seen any new threads on this topic...

Does anyone else observe this day in memory of Satoshi Nakamoto?

Just me?
Seems that you are the only one. Well in my side, I didn't remember that today is a historical day in this forum because I'm not aware of it in the first place lol. But I don't know what the reason of others. Maybe the same with me, maybe they are too busy to give focus on such details especially that our world is not on its normal flow recently (you know, most of us are so distracted and struggling during this hard times) or maybe some don't bother at all? But whatever the reason will be, I'm glad to know this special day and reminisce the legacy Satoshi left us.

It seems there are suspicions of whether the post "I am not Dorian Nakamoto" was hacked or whether any of the other actions werenactual evidence of Satoshi.

His last post in December 2010 is mentioned on his Wikipedia page... do we think we can get "Satoshi Nakamoto Day" added to his wiki and add specific mention to December 12th, 2010?

On December 12, 2010, 12:22:33 PM (local), Satoshi Nakamoto, founder of Bitcoin, penned his last post on this forum. We'll now pay homage to this man by declaring today Satoshi Nakamoto Day, marking the one year anniversary of his last communication to us.

What he left for us is an ideology, and all who've followed his path are his descendants, his legacy lies with them and all those who'll soon follow.

In honnor of Satoshi Nakamoto, I shall post this declaration at the exact minute and, hopefully, second to correspond with the timestamp of his last post.

Although I do not know who SATOSHI is, my heart still wants to thank him and indirectly help me to become like now, all the things are also fate and I believe in 2018 this charm will come To me, may be the first opportunity for me to develop on the path of crypto career, thank you and happy birthday satoshi

I would probably send my personal thanks to him if his identity is not kept secret since from the launching of this very amazing digital currency. How i wish Satoshi Nakamoto would share his wealth through BTC airdrop. Smiley
