Hi !
Let's understand that sometimes this is usual and sometimes it's unusual for you to have such probelms. If this is normal for you then I would honestly advice you to seek medical care. Most people fail to understand that addiction is a cause of brain abnormality and thus needs to be treated that way as well. Therefore for starters you should go to the GP and get a referral. If this is not the case and this is a one time thing you should *never try and do it again* try and put your savings somewhere else not in the same wallet from where it can be accessed that easily. Make separate wallets for gambling and savings which on any accord must not be touched. I hope you realize that you solely are in control of all of this and improve your situation. Best of luck!

Well that is very unfortunate for you, but i also have to say that it was totally your own fault, as you already said, because you did not follow your own rules and in the end you bet an amount of money that was very significant to you. I don't know if this will help you but you need to be aware that it is a very common thing that happened to you here and this happens to thousands of gamblers each and every day. They lose a bet, they are very sad or angry about that and they want to get that lost money back by betting even more and then they lose again and so on and so on. This is where the casinos make a lot of money. So you always need to be in control of yourself. Just learn from that experience for the next time.

Even the best gambling strategy can fail, there is no guaranteed win. To remain profitable in gambling requires some luck. Our emotions and mindset can of course influence our profits a large deal as well. I saw a good friend of mine completely lose it a roulette table 10 years ago. He was very disciplined all night and stuck to his strategy. He was up quite a lot of money but didn't stop, eventually he started losing money and should have just taken a break. But he got so focused on the game and waa convinced his numbers where coming next. It was really bizarre to see him keep betting more risky, the more money he lost. In the end he lost it all and was devastated. That was such a good lesson for me to never focus everything on one game and taking breaks to clear the mind is important. It's also very important to learn from our mistakes. Given that the OP made a thread here about his mistakes, I assume that he will keep it in his mind and won't forget it fast. Making mistakes is part of life and will be hurtful, but the real trouble starts if we keep repeating past mistakes. Just look at it as a few you had to pay to not do the same mistake again in the future. Thinking too much about missed opportunities is not fruitful for our future.

It was almost two months hard earned money. Got busted in few minutes. I don't know why I wasn't able to have me within the limits. Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet. This is completely unlucky, because every bets were placed to roll above 20 which means the winning probability is quite high. Anyhow I wasn't in control and I didn't follow the rule gamble what you can afford to loss. It was a money saved to repay a debt. Now once again the interest needs to be paid so to manage the debt for some more time. Unlucky me  Sad Sad Sad

It takes week, months and years to earn money but it takes only few seconds to lose all the money.

That's the reason why everyone tells us that do not to spend the money which we can't afford to lose in gambling and trading. Both are risky and can make us bankrupt.  Nothing can be done now as the damage has been done. Now you need to focus again to earn more money to repay the debt. Sad

I'm sure that each of us has paid our fee for the experience with gambling, some a lot some a little, but hardly anyone has been able to get the experience for free. If a person cannot control himself while gambling then he will pay the price. The main question is how much he will pay before he learns to control himself. The saddest thing is that some gamblers are willing to pay for their entire lives without realizing that until you know how to control yourself it is better to stay away from gambling.

Most of the time we encounter this kind of losses when we are new and been hype up with something huge return what inserted on our minds to those who promote this to us. For sure those who already experience this painful defeat will learn their lesson especially on holding their finances on gambling since this is mostly the lesson will be learn by gamblers who lost after the end of the day.

Agree. Most people tend to be eaten by greed and perhaps fear of missing out. Hence, they also try to bet and risk the money they have until they no longer know they don't have any left. Sometimes, people are so hyped about something as well resulting to impulsive betting that isn't thought in a deeper manner which is why they lose.

It's unfortunate, but that's the cycle if you're not going to think thoroughly every decision that you will make. If you are going to be a one-day-millionaire, you will be the one crying in the end. Because after all, the gambling you risked your money to won't give you a budget for your necessity if ever you bet all of your funds in it. Just make sure that you learned and never do it again. After all, experience is the best teacher. Maybe some really have to undergo through it to be wiser the next time around and to be more cautious of their actions.

I always tend to forget this phrase, only afford money you can afford to lose and once I do,it is a sure thing I will lose the available money to me by playing slots.Last week I was in the same situation when I lost everything in slot machines and the feeling is horrible, the feeling of not being able to do nothing,it is gone money.I think these should serve as life lessons to us which come to us to prepare to handle better when we will have even bigger amounts of money or money that are projected for something else.

I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you. Indeed, money can be spent quickly, but hard it is hard to earn. May this serve as a lesson for you so that next time, you would do better. In gambling, it's really important to establish your limits and boundaries. In order for you to not be addicted for it or go bankrupt, it is needed to have self-discipline and self-restraint. That way, when your specific budget for luxurious activity such as for gambling betting runs out, you won't go overboard.

I know it's encouraging and enticing to place multiple and continuous bets once you already won. However, we must still remind ourselves of the repercussions. Like what you experienced, it emptied your wallet. It started off by placing small bets and eventually it gets bigger until you no longer notice you are already spending beyond what you can afford to lose. It's really bad to be greedy. It will just drive you to be doomed.

Hoepfully, next time you will be wiser in placing bets. I know moving on and accepting the loss is a hard process, but you'll get over it. Just remember, once you overcome it to no longer repeat the same mistakes you did.

Putting it to roll above 20 still won't guarantee steady profits, especially if you don't have a limit or in some cases it's called greed. After all, if we play it by means of automatic betting, it's basically not a skill, so when you feel that the profits are already high, you can choose to stop. Because if you continue then you will only lose everything, it doesn't matter if you start with a new one with a different roll in reality the luck will not come a second time.

Can't agree more.
Gambling will eventually drain your money no matter how much money you won earlier when you're not stopping somewhere were you have made good profit. I know it's not really that easy to stop gambling especially when you're on a winning momentum, but likewise it's not also easy to stop when you still have money left in your pocket and you're constantly lossing.
So, yeah it's safe to say, you're not going to profit in gambling the further you went.

It's not actually a good idea running a gambling with the fund supposed for something else, they best idea is to use your extra money, gains incentives or profit realize to make a gamble with, should in case if luck finds you then you will and the money increases but if the other way round then you don't loss but only remain neutral, playing casinos bet is one of the most fascinating fun to play games especially when using the mobile phone, the sensation in playing could be easily enjoyed with ease and before you know it, one would have gone high in staking the bets.

Hard earned money, the mistake have happened there. Whether he preferred to gamble or not and so many things that have happened further is secondary. Initially he should've realised the value of money, and if that has happened he might've never spend the hard earned money. Everywhere it is all about money, and OP won't do this again of he finds it a lesson.

I think it's okay to use hard earned money to gamble, but we should be able to limit the amount of money we will use to gamble. So the hard earned
money that we have will not all run out, and the most important thing when gambling is to control our emotions, so we know when to stop and not continue
to gamble until we lose all the money we have. From the very beginning the OP used the money saved to pay off the debt was the wrong decision,
I hope the OP realizes his mistake and makes it a mistake not to do the same thing in the future. I also thank the OP for sharing what he went through,
it is also a warning to all of us to be responsible gamblers. I suggest gambling with the extra money we have, meaning that we first fulfill all our needs.
Including paying debts, bills, and daily necessities. After that if there is still money left we can use it for gambling, the key is in ourselves how
we manage money well, that way we can prevent what happens to the OP.
This is easy to say, but not easy to do. In the heat of excitement, it is very difficult to stop and say to yourself "Stop. I don't play beyond this amount." The player will always have a hope to recoup, which will lead to the loss of the entire deposit.

Emotion control is almost impossible for gamblers. Let's be honest. Here the principle "all - or nothing" guides.

Somebody might call this a gambling addiction(and it might be true).
I would like to call it a "sunk cost fallacy".The more you get emotionally(and financially) invested into the game, the harder it is for you to quit.Losing control while gambling is the worst thing ever.Maybe that's why I try to gamble far less than I used to.
Gambling with money that were saved to repay a debt? That seems quite irresponsible, but that's your choice.
Everybody makes big mistakes sometimes. It's not about having no luck. It's about losing control over your game.

We couldn't really say he is addicted yet. One thing is for sure he wanted to pay his debt but was tempted to bet and lose it all. I have an experience almost close to this kind in the past but was just few bucks since I was a teen during that time. I wasn't a gambling addict but have learned a lesson not to spend the money that is meant for something else.

Nothing can't be solve though so he just have to work for the money again. A price to pay for unexpected event.  Grin

This has happened to a lot of users, I even have seen people busting big loans. Is important to understand when to stop and take our loss because the feeling after hitting an empty wallet is terrible.

Is one of those non-cheap lessons that cryptos have for us.

Yes, this has happened to many of us! Especially in the beginning... in one moment I have coins in several wallets, and in the next one I am on zero everywhere! Happened to me more than once, but I was young and crazy (to not say stupid) and without obligations to anyone! For a long time situation is different and something like this didn't happen to me for a while, to spend all my money just like that and be on zero!

Well, bad things happen in gambling! We all learn some lessons one way or another! I also saw some people busting big loans, that is the craziest thing someone can do, to borrow a lot of money and gamble with them just like that! It's probably the end stage of gambling addiction, and probably after this big problems are coming!

The problem is that when they find pleasure in gambling, they forget all the risks they can take, making them spend all the money. It's happening to many users and many more users and even though they read a lot of stories about the loss of others, they don't really learn from it. In addition, surrender will overwhelm us if our goals change in playing gambling and only think about how to earn more money.

He indeed learned a lesson from this on since he had wasted up his work pay or salary which is intended for other means or purpose but do ends up on losing it all instead via doing playing gambling.

You would really be busting up your hard earned money or whatever the source of those funds of yours whether an extra but the odds would really be still the same.

You could even wipe it off on a single bet with having that all-in kind of bet which do shorten out the process.  Grin
