I can afford 100 bucks if I am thinking about the holding the big gains in my portfolio. The crypto securing technics are more understandable for experienced investors who can afford to buy hardware wallets. It is safe to hold the cryptos in the hardware wallets than desktop or online wallets.

If all rules and precautions are religiously followed , then hardware wallet is a very good me to own for cryptocurrency storage. If you won’t keep your keys and seeds save and private from third party , then you are close to being hacked anytime.

what say u?
Yes, they are safe, the only problem or where the issue might arises is that if you bought it from somewhere else, like Ebay or something. You don't know, someone might tampered it to hack and steal your coins. That's why it is advisable to buy from the official site only to avoid this kind of problems in the future.

@Olatunjex - those wallets are very cheap, so everyone should really get it so that you have a peace of mind.

I personally think it is safe as an offline wallet offers the highest level of security for storing crypto is it involves storing the funds in a secured place that is not connected to any network. This type of wallet can also offer good protection against computer vulnerabilities. The hardware wallets are the best type of offline wallet that offers very high security and ease of use. Also, as these wallets allow backup, you can easily recover your funds if you lose this device.

One such example of a hardware wallet is Trezor. It operates as secure cold storage. You can easily transfer bitcoins to the device using the Trezor interface, which is accessible from macOS, Linux, Windows, and Android. Its interface is quite easy to use that lists your coins and recent transactions.

Trezor uses a 12 to 24-word seed for protection and recovery and a user-defined PIN. You can also add an encrypted passphrase to your wallet for an added layer of security.

what say u?
Of course hardware wallet is safer when it comes to security of asset, the level of security is hard to crack, the issue is that not everybody can afford to buy the wallet  but it's better to have it to avoid loss asset.

If hardware wallets are not safe for someone I don't know what is the definition of "safe"  for that guy. Paper wallets are not safe compared to separate hard disk as a crypto wallet. I never believe the power of online exchanges because there is no guarantee for funds in any exchange.

Sincerely hardware wallets are the safest and are not that vulnerable if the seed is not accessible by third party. Most of the time people complain of their hardware wallet being hacked, they forgot that they have exposed their seed in one way or the other. If seed is not exposed then hardware wallet is safe.

hardware wallet is the safest way to store cryptocurrency.. as long as you keep your seed in safe place no one can take your crypto

yes, thats absolutely right
because our seed is the most important keys in our hardware wallet, do not tell to anyone and store it outside from your computer or leptop

Our hardware wallets are safe and as long as we don't trust others, our assets will be safe on the hardware.

At the moment, a hardware purse is the most reliable means for storing crypto. If you have large amounts of crypto, then you definitely need a hardware wallet.

You are absolutely correct that hardware wallets are fully secured from all attacks and work as cold wallets. No one can access that wallet other then the holder of it.

Hardware wallets are safer than web wallets or app wallets, especially ledger Nano and Trezor brands. I've used both, they are cool but I prefer Ledger Nano since I consider it more rugged.

Never buy used hardware wallets, other than that they are safe if you intend to use them as coldstorage.. Ledger has some nice picks where you can hold a lot of different cryptos.

As always, every electronic device is prone to death so keeping priv keys written in paper and kept safe is always the wise thing to do.

Hardware wallet is very safe to store your keys.
But, no system is safe, keep your hardware to safest place.
Not your keys not your wallet

Hardware wallet prevents you from doing a number of mistakes you could have done otherwise.
Any wallet can be safe if you know how exactly to secure it and even a hardware wallet could be hacked if you are careless.
So, it's all about your using habit. A hardware wallet is necessary if you have 10s of bitcoin or equivalent to keep. Otherwise any app wallet or web wallet would still do a good job.

Hardware wallets are the ultimate definition of security when it comes to crypto assets, if you do a brief research, you will discover that most of the hacks that has happened in the past has been due to the use of online wallets, they are very sucure and I would recommend them anytime.

Just a reminder that you still need to save these paraphrases and at least have a trusted someone to share it with as we will never know what will happen to you. I have heard some stories in my country where they have hoarded cryptocurrencies and end up dies without someone knowing how to open their wallets. In the end that person has assets that cannot be used be their family because they will not let anyone know their wallet codes.
