That's why on good sites one of the responsible gambling features you can set is a maximum weekly deposit limit. The problem is that the problem gambler, when the compulsion sets in and he sees that he can no longer deposit on his site, ends up finding another site to deposit on and losing his money.
You provide a solution that you can refute yourself,  Grin
I don't mean to blame or laugh at you, but what you said is very true because even though the gambling platform applies a maximum limit on deposits, addicted gamblers will become other sites to play again. So it will still depend on ourselves, because we are the only ones who can control ourselves, not others, especially since it's just a site.
However, we can't expect anything from others, I mean even though they have such limitations but we are still in a situation that is controlled by emotions, then everything will end the same. Instead of looking at what the site can do or implement, we better look at ourselves so that we can control ourselves more and be responsible.
Well said, no one is to be blamed here gambling is a game of complete luck and gambling trends are always changing. The sites should have been checked thoroughly before depositing. No one can give the exact guarantee of victory here if one wins no one can say that the other will win. Responsible gamblers are less likely to take risks because they can control themselves. Approached with the right mindset and control gambling can be an exciting and enjoyable pastime and protects vulnerable individuals from risk.

What could cause a gambler to place a bet to the extent that he no longer has money to pay for the games he played?
That’s just purely addiction, because if you are not addicted to gambling, how are you going to keep on gambling till the stage that you won’t be able to pay for the bets that you have placed? When gambling, we are supposed to monitor our gambling budget, we shouldn’t gamble more than our budget. If you notice that you have nothing left with you, the best thing is just to stop gambling. The only people that can’t stop gambling even when they are supposed to stop are the ones addicted to gambling, but a responsible gambler knows when to stop gambling.

He known full well that there is no money in his pocket again and went ahead and placed a bet. Lolz. The guy was playing a smart game, thinking that the cashier would allow him to go and come back again to pay back the loan and if the game entered and he would tell the cashier to collect the money from the winning and if the game cut then he would run away. And wanted to dropped his smartphone with the cashier means he is a pure gambling addict.
If the amount was $15+, dropping the mobile phone was not bad as well because definitely the gambling amount was not up to the amount of the phone and if he didn't come back and pay the debt then the phone would be sold and use the money to settle the debt. It was a simple analogy since the casino was physical one and not online.

What could cause a gambler to place a bet to the extent that he no longer has money to pay for the games he played?

This story happened in my presence on Friday, when I visited a physical betting shop to book some games after that my battery ran down in the process of trying to place some bets with my smartphone to bet on a game that will kick-start in some minutes. There I was, there was this gentleman who was there before me playing the visual game and to cut the whole story short at the end, the gambler started having issues with the person who placed the games for him, reason being that after playing the visual game the gambler no longer has the money to pay the person, and he optioned to dropping his smartphone until when he brings the money and the money amounts to about $15+ and this lead to the owner of the shop inviting the police to settle the matter.

So the question now is: What could really put a gambler in such a situation, addiction, or greediness?

We have heard so many stories like this already and all of them concluded to one thing that the gambler couldn't control his urge to gamble more despite losing what he had already.
It looks the same in this case too and the solution to this issue is to have a self control so that you don't over gamble.

Instead of looking at what the site can do or implement, we better look at ourselves so that we can control ourselves more and be responsible.

To be fair, this is a very nice feature but it cannot completely stop our gambling addiction if we cannot control ourselves. Not only in gambling but in any field, if we cannot control ourselves, no one can help us. But I support this idea because at least the casino is trying to come up with a solution to help players become aware of their out of control gambling behavior. If all casinos had this feature and required players to enable it, I believe it would help curb uncontrolled gambling.

But as you said, to be able to completely eliminate gambling addiction, the only way is to practice controlling our emotions, do not expect help from others when we do not try ourselves.
The question is, will casino sites care about their users? Maybe they will give an appeal to gamble without forcing themselves, but after that they will no longer care because all decisions are in the hands of the user. They are also in business here, they are also willing to spend a fantastic amount of money just to promote their site, so they will also be happy when users deposit more money. This is indeed a good idea, but this is a good idea only for us, while for them it will reduce their income, because by setting a maximum deposit they will stop making a profit because users can no longer play. As in the case of users aged 18+, they have a rule that users under that age are not recommended to gamble, but in reality there are still many underage users who gamble.

This statistic is constantly growing, because the number of players is growing every year. Even I have noticed how much advertising has increased, starting from television, the Internet and ending with billboards. You need to understand that you need to play in moderation with cold calculation, not go crazy in the game by increasing the bet every time. I have also noticed that many players feel special, but in fact, on the contrary, they become the same as millions of others, who only have money in front of their eyes and nothing else. I urge players not to rush and not to consider themselves the smartest, but simply to come up with different strategies and think with their own heads.
Exactly, this is a very good point you have made there, feeling too special has been one big challenge some players have faced because they get to the pint where they begin to believe they are too special and that is why they have been able to win the much they have won so far, so they in some cases become reckless with their stake and increase their stake at their next trial because they believe they are goin to win the game as they have already been doin in the previous prediction that got the the wins they are probably enjoying.

So the question now is: What could really put a gambler in such a situation, addiction, or greediness?

I think it was greed because I often hear stories about people who pawn everything they have to continue gambling. Thanks for yell us about this situation.
I love stories about gamblers:sad stories about problem gamblers, about students who won poker tournaments, or a lucky guy from the village who won the lottery.
Gambling definitely speeds up life, even if such a change in life is dangerous, like driving a fast car on the highway

Yes, most likely it is greed driven by desperation, the inability to accept the risk of losing can also be the biggest trigger for a gambler to make various impulsive decisions such as pawning an item they own, and feeling too confident can also lead to decisions like that.
It is quite sad to see the number of stories of problem gamblers which are increasing day by day, there are many factors that cause them, but in simple terms I would say that all the problems that arise in gambling are most likely caused by a gambler who from the start did not know and understand what and how exactly the negative side can befall them in these activities, and this is the reason why everyone is always advised to have a rational perspective and mindset every time they encounter new things in their lives.

ask the following:

- How many casinos does each member have an account with?

You would see that most people would answer that they have accounts in more than 5 casinos, and all accounts are KYC. And the most shocking part is that they can deposit money and play in all accounts. That's why when I read someone saying that they have an account in a casino and that they asked the casino to close their account because they have a gambling problem and the casino didn't close the account, so they kept playing until they lost everything. I always get shocked by this. Because the guy doesn't realize that it's not the casino's fault. Even if the casino blocks his account, the guy has more than 5 accounts and is still playing. People don't realize that gambling problems can be treated in the real world by a doctor. Simply closing a casino account won't solve the problem.

Of course, we don't know what's going on in the head of each player, but we can only guess what it's based on. I would say that the desire to make amends is the first thing that can happen, especially after a long series of losses that have happened recently. The player may be in a daze after this and will not be interested in anything, as long as his debt that he got into decreases. Honestly, I've been through something similar and I don't want anyone to feel it, so be careful before increasing your bets.

I think, it's just a silly act, because he bet but didn't have the money to pay for it. Or maybe, he thought that by making a bet first it would give him an advantage so he could continue gambling with that advantage. But unfortunately, in gambling it is clear that gamblers will pay first to play  the game but with that incident, then I think it's clear that it's just someone who is silly or just messing around but the impact is bad because the bookie also reported it to the security officers or the police. But for me personally, I have never gotten or found an incident like that.

After a long series of losses, the player often becomes greedy and wants to win back his lost profits and get his deposit back. This is where the player gets trapped because concentration on the game has already been lost. After a series of losses, it is definitely better to take a break than to try to win back, and even worse, to get into debt in the hope of winning back yours.
Not necessarily touching a series of losses, simply from the beginning of gambling, the greedy thought may be primary or secondary, it is produced as a desire for a little luck and victory, the reality is not so clear and after a series of intense shootings, this situation is worse. Except for fighting for a reward, greedy thoughts also want to regain losses and these are traps that are intertwined, this pattern is constantly recreated to create mastery and eventually the player becomes a nutrient, instead of a separate

Usually, fewer amount of players have dealt mentally with extended series of losses, others only fall for it and suffer on the long run. For the most part of the problem, gamblers deserve having mentors and colleagues that walk along with them to the casino. Such that when dispute as tough as this occurs, they'll not be left out in the midst of strangers, and nobody who they actually know to stand for them.

Although, most players demand to go gamble alone, because they feel a friend would distract them, yet that interruption is far helpful than playing alone and end up between a rock and a hard place.

On the moment that you do find yourself being already that addicted to gambling then you would really be having that kind of actions when it comes into your gambling session on which it would really be that too damn hard to control when it comes into this matter. Greed is what makes you do be able to play even further and on the time or moment that you do find yourself on such condition
then it would really be that too hard for you to stop midway. People would really be that trying out to stop on the time or moment that you would really be that suffering on such bad condition or situation.
If you are really that playing gambling then you should really be that mindful when it comes into your actions because on the time that you do get greedy then it does signifies that you are already addicted into it.

Gambling with credit is incredibly risky and I would personally not do it.

In this case it seems that somebody placed his bets for him, that's basically credit. No way I would have done that.

I think many places ban credit card usage for casinos and gambling in general because they know they won't be getting that money back, ever.

Foolishness, they wouldn't even be on that situation if they have a control on their own or they are in their right state of mind.
I don't think that I would ever be in that situation, I control or limit the amount that I gamble, I only play with my excess money.

Good for you.

But let's be real, many gamblers are becoming addicted due to the increase of gambling sites that are being created.
Now, they can easily bet with their own currency for a low price on each round of either slots or basic gambling like dice and Plinko. Even the applications in Google Play are now filled with different gambling advertisements. I know this because my son always borrows my smartphone and when I look at my browser it is filled with pop-out ads that came from his games.
This is actually disturbing and I think many people can be urged to gamble by this kind of marketing and it will probably be the reason on why there will be an increasing amount of gambling addicts in the world.
This statistic is constantly growing, because the number of players is growing every year. Even I have noticed how much advertising has increased, starting from television, the Internet and ending with billboards. Digitalism affect everything.

In the past, different class people can be happy with their own ways, now people are only happy when they live with luxury lifestyle like the rich. That's why many people now sell their soul, either become a porn star, have only fans, selling illegal thing, or trying to find instant way to make money.

You shouldn't let your son to play your smart phone, instead buy the new cheap one and set it for kids mode.
