I don't want to carry extra money while gambling because I know it is very difficult to control myself at the gambling board. Gambling tendencies are good but one should refrain from excessive gambling.

Both points are good factors to avoid getting hook too much and become addicted, if you play to have some fun using spare money, there's no way that you'll be getting to deep as after you lose the budget you simply go and stop, unlike if you are aiming to win and all that matters are the money, then greed will start to dominates you and will lead you to addiction.

It is simply playing game and hoping for a win to pay for their ticket. one thing about some Gamblers is that they don't have second thoughts running through their mind. They don't even think that what if I end up losing what would be my chance of leaving the casino hall freely? I just think it's addiction and foolishness all together.

This is another reason why people should have plan for their gambling amount let say when gambling there should be amount set aside for the gambling when that amount is exhausted they should stop for the day/week or even month until that amount is being refilled before they could start gambling. Greed mostly affects the mindset of everyone gambling if they don't apply a responsible gambling practice, at first it would increase the addictive nature in them when they lose money they will try their best to recover the amount they have used to gamble at this point they don't know when they drastically gets emptied.

You're right, that's the perfect answer to the OP's question, it mostly gambling addiction that would make someone to continue betting even while their losing streaks is piling up. One of the gambling event that could easily make one to go broke is the virtual bet it's a little more difficult to predict than others and requires one to be very strategic else you might end up losing all your money to it in one particular day. I've never been in such situation and I don't pray to find myself in a situation whereby I'll be stranded in a betting shop cause of addiction, however during my college days I've seen fellow students use their tuition fees on virtual gambling and it didn't turn out good and that's why I didn't even bother going into that line, I'll rather stick to the normal football gambling or basketball which are more easier than the virtual gambling.

I doubt gamblers can actually recover money they've lost through gambling. This is just the sad reality they need to get used to. There was a time I was actively involved in sports betting, I place bets literally everyday but only gain from my bets once in a very long while. Although my intentions were not necessarily to recover all I've lost through gambling, I just wanted to win and feel happy. It occurred to me that I was actually losing more than I was gaining, my occasional wins could not even cover up for my losses during those period.

Winning feels good but most times, it doesn't cover all that was lost. Gamblers who are getting themselves indebted just for the sake of gambling are not doing themselves any favour because they will be losing more than they will earn. It is better to gamble for the fun of it and enjoy the win if it eventually comes.
