If we want to keep spending time on useless things, North America is not a continent. It's a sub-continent.

So, to recap:

Sent only to BTC customers.
Sent if you requested a refund and/or if you didn't (which one?) (this conflicts with the wording of the mail, that states that it's a follow up to the refund you requested).

Who has data conflicting with those two points?

AFAIK Canada is in North America which IMO makes them American too.
This speaks more to your education than to the point at hand.   Refunds are NOT confined to US citizens or residents.   So, let's figure out if they are confined to Batch I.

North America is a continent not a country.  So refunds across the continent have been offered.  Which leads me to think post is on the way to other continents maybe.

We also need to consider if those that have received a refund requested one.  If not, interesting.  If so, did they ask for BTC or did they submit to the rape form?

Is there anyone in Batch 2 through 4 that is happy with the latest turn of events? Or are you just waiting your turn?

Whats your game plan Batch 2 through 4 customers?
The current plan is to drive to SF later this week and knock on as many of their doors as I have addresses for.

Just got an illumination - what about proving that they sent the check only to BTC customers and not USD ones? Naturally, if they send it to USD customers tomorrow, it's still too late.

You could be proving, like if we needed it, that they think BTC customers to deserve a different treatment than USD customers.

Win.

(now, how to prove this? Uhm...)

OK Back on topic.
The website in Canada is fake.   There is no building at the address listed and the postal code is from another part of town.   Drop that.
More importantly, we have Americans (several) and now at least one Canadian that has a Batch 1 forced refund.  So, we know it is NOT confined to just the Americans.   HAS ANYONE IN BATCH II received a refund that was not requested (also interested in hearing about people who received a requested one though).

Protip: if you send a refund letter to all of your BTC customers at the same point in time starting from SF it will take more time to reach the old continent rather than the USA or CA.

Just saying.

Gmaxwell:  What is the point of having a newbie section if you're going to let hordes of them arrive everyday and troll?
Ignore is only useful when people don't return with alts every few days.
The mods do sleep.
Then give me a mod delete button and I will make threads here like Cole's Notes.   KNC will be 8 pages TOTAL (because that is how many pages of information there are in 1400 pages).

I don't give a damn about that link.  I'm more interested in "forced refund" reports from the wild, to see if we can establish a pattern.  If I understand things correctly, they seem to be performing "force refunds" mainly on US-based customers that paid in BTC?  Are there any others instances?

Another data point. Canadian customer. Requested BTC refund on my own terms. HF release NOT signed.

USD refund received today via FEDEX for 2 BJ orders (5600+210+5%=$6100 each). Upgrade kits were not refunded.

Tell you what, HashAss, since we know you read this thread like a hawk.  To save us both the pain, I'll take a "forced refund", $2 on the $1, of course including the upgrade card and of course including shipping.  Good riddance.  Otherwise I plan to be a thorn in your side.

As indicated previously, I spoke with them repeatedly Friday and asked the sales rep to walk back and physically confirm how many were on the shelf... I was told 5 and that I could pick up Monday.  Have been attempting to arrange for colleagues' to get up there as I feel its important with what all is going on...  Its about a days drive for me however if someone is close please PM and we'll see if we can catch a mythical GN  Grin
