you may as well let them run away with your money.
I would really love to have the data HF has about the % of people who agreed to a USD refund and the % that actually sent a certified letter demanding a proper refund.

I would love to know the % of refunders who paid with usd vs btc.  My guess is so far it as predominantly been usd-ers.  I can't see any btc-ers willing to take a 90% haircut for HF.

still no answer from scamfast.... anyone's lawyers looked into criminal filings since they are holding our BTC/Fiat hostage

Have you filed complaints with the AG and others I provided all the info for weeks ago? Has everyone? Really, if you can't  be bothered to do something as simple as spend five minutes bringing this to the attention of the authorities, you may as well let them run away with your money.

Ouch! I hate it when I have to cringe from past statements. These were from our first 4 GB rounds when we were still founding the co-op,  when I had no idea that our combined team hashrate would eventually outrank entire countries on BTC Guild.  Grin (my name is on the team, but our team is just a representative of the segment of the market that would be considered Value and/or Team Miners; anyone that falls in these categories is welcome to join)

Suffice to say: we have not ordered any other HF miners and one more mfg. has been permabanned from our co-op. Undecided

In my defense, at the time their rep was stellar, else we wouldn't have done community fund raising for 4 miners. I was also happy to see that "the adults had shown up." /s

Current me would like to visit old me and say in dramatic slo mo: "Nooooo! Dooon't do it!"

They took us all for a ride and had no real backup plan.

Plan A= Hope everything works and nothing goes wrong with manufacturing
Plan B= pray
Plan C= pray some more

G'luck to everyone that was suckered in...

Glad to see you still surviving and getting through it..  wish I had a lot more time over last summer to really get to know more people instead of just make up my own mind

Hopefully everyone corners HF on their words!!

Welcome to the club of cheated investors customers.
FTFY.

Investors implies a claim on profit margin and equity. There was none.

addendum:
Just to give you a mental picture of what is happening here... in terms of an analogy.

HashFast promised to provide you with some potato seeds in October. Because they are in the potato business they said that they accept potatoes at an equivalent price of 10 grams of seed per 1 potato. Now it's January, and not only were you not able to recover your potatoes from planting the promised seeds - the equivalent market price seed/potato has adjusted to 100 grams of seed per 1 potato.

Now they are trying to reverse that trade under the new market conditions, giving you back 1 potato per 100 grams promised seeds, leaving you with no seeds and 10% of your original potatoes, while they keep all the seeds and 90% of the potatoes. Moreover, if you accept their delayed seeds now, the soil has degraded so much that it only yields 10% of the anticipated number of potatoes. (Soil degradation was industry knowledge at the time of the initial order).

There is simply no excuse for HashFast not trying to compensate their customers fairly and squarely. Instead they are trying to resolve the matter with a lose-lose proposition for the customers and a win-win proposition for the company. That is predatory, to say the least.

Time for Greatest Hits of this thread yet?   Too soon?   I'd like to nominate this one

We should have went with KnC miners.

Figures that I chose another BFL.

Ha! I'm hardware neutral and I've dealt with both companies. One (BFL) is permanently banned from my at-cost Miners Cooperative Group Buys, and the other one has about $30K of our Co-op's BTC for 2 Baby Jets and 2 Sierras thanks to the MPP and pricing.

HashFast has been *nothing* like BFL in all of my dealings with them. John S. doesn't go out of his way to belittle or berate his paid customers on forums, and I've found him & their Customer Service to be professional (if a bit slow, at times, due to their small team size).

Please don't toss HF into the same boat as BFL and Avalon until they've actually done something, anything, that intentionally hurts the miner community like BFL and Avalon.

Something is happening on the hashfast.com website right now, it redirects to old.hashfast.com (apparently they did not purchase a wildcard ssl cert) and they are saying "check in 45 minutes"  - anyone know how long that's been up?

At the very least it looks like they've revised their stance slightly.

Back in August.. HF had all the appearences of being legit.. I personally had to choose between HF and KNC. Ultimately it came down to picking a USA company.

+1

I had the complete opposite vibe since I've been in corporate america the last 7 years and seen all the 'presentable' jackasses make excuses endlessly with no shame I wanted no part of any scamerica outfit.

The guys from Sweden actually showed that they wanted bragging rights..  some good old honest geek science fair vibe.

If it wasn't them I would thought about Bitfury but know I better learn some Russian and expect to fly to Moscow to get any customer service (no scam, just they don't really give a fuck)

****** was just a troll.

first he trolled KNC and after they had started shipping he moved on to hashfast and later he moved on to cointerra.

the KNC thread was full of his shit postings in september.

Cuddling, censored, unicorn-shaped troll.
I did know it was a preorder order.
You did. But how about people who did not read the thread hashfast started here before? That was just a fat lie to start with.
Sorry, I'm pissed off tonight, so will stop here as I don't wanna be banned.

Since you'll never "pre-order" again, I guess all that was overall positive. Please spead out your tale, and make sure you prevent any further "pre-order" scam to get live. Smiley

EDIT : removed troll food, pm'ed those who took a bite. Sorry.

My web-laziness lead me to assume at the time that the "on stock" wording was just the number of units left in the batch, and that the shop thing they were using was too hard to modify the wording in "units left in batch: "... I did know it was a preorder order.

I did not think at that as a way to sell more. But you certanly have a point.

Tapeout already done, uniquify that says chips in October, so miners early November, and the MPP to cover what would have been missed.

It did look like a good investment.

Too bad I didn't see the scam flags as you did.

No healthy business would have sold the first 550 BJ as "Orders" with "In stock" mention on the site without stating ANYWHERE this was just investment gambling. They were lying from the start. There was NO FUCKING MENTION about preordering, it just looked like amazon.

This alone was enough to run away.
