Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.
I just want my full BTC refund if they don't ship before Dec 31 2013, I'm not asking for 1200USD per BTC refund and please stop with this "they will only refund in USD"

same, but it may be too much to Ask;  can't squeeze blood from a turnip.

They probably don't have USD or BTC!

HashFast sold to IceDrill quite a bit of units,

They sold 3 other full batches of at least 500 units.

Do you really think they don't have USD or BTC when the entire project costs around $5M-$8M?

You can do the math.

BFL was 6 months late, not 1 year, unless the calendar has changed in the past 2000  years or so?  November - April = 6 months, not 12 months.

True, but the total wait for BFL customers was well over a year for many. I ordered my 30GH/s little single on 6/24/2012 and it was finally shipped to me on 7/9/2013. Needless to say, I have not even made 50% of my BTC back at this point. Now I mine little over 1 (bit)cent per day so I have accepted my losses. At this point my HF BJ is expected to do even worse. Needless to say, I'm done with pre-orders.

Quite understandable.  Fortunately, I don't think any vendor has yet forced anyone to pre-order their equipment, so you're good to go.

Very good Josh  Wink

That's dirty and speaks to your character, and your company's. You promised something, they bought on that promise, you failed, it's your bad, not the people who bought. Tell yourself what you need to, to feel better, but you embody all that is wrong. Your thousands of posts and cheesy "trust" points on this forum don't carry any weight in the real world. Yeah, patsy pincushion sure did vanish when the Q&A thread suggestion was made.  "Like, OMG, I might have to answer their questions rather than randomly dropping in every once in a while with some inane and vapid boosterism, I mean, customer support."

Josh,

you guys were not 6 months late. I ordered day 2 and did not get my single until Aug 2nd this year. That makes you 9-10 months late.

I still think Josh has a unique perspective here (no matter what you think of him personally), as the only one in this thread (including HF), who has brought an Asic to market (albeit not underpromised and over-delivered).

And frankly his cameo has added a bit more interest to this thread which seems to have been abandoned by HF and the poor Hashfast_CL patsy pincushion.

HFs compensation for being their effigy certainly isn't enough.  Smart though of the HF_CL to create a new identity for it.

The signal to noise ratio here is astounding Angry
There is no signal at all, and it's not our fault.
You and the trolls like you are the explicit example of who's fault it is.

Nice job of 'blame the victim'. You can pat yourself on the back.

HF put their customers in a Catch 22 situation. Eat an ~80% loss on your BTC with either a 1) USD refund or 2) hopelessly delayed HW. There is no happy ending here so customers are understandably frustrated. HF silence at this critical time is not helping, nor are their frequent TOS updates that shift risk & losses from HF to the customers.

Here's an article that may interest HF's Canadian customers:

Canadian Provincial Bitcoin Law: It’s All About Protecting the Consumer

All agreements must be clear and understandable. Vague language is discouraged in agreements. All required information must be clear, prominent and easy to understand. If there is a dispute over unclear language, the Ontario Act requires that it be interpreted in favour of the consumer.

So if you are a bitcoin entity trying to sell a consumer good it would be prudent to ensure your lawyer drafts up an agreement that cannot allow for more than one reasonable interpretation; there can be no room for ambiguity.

Go Canada!
