how do you refund a customer in BTC if you paid for the manufacturing costs in FIAT?  that makes no sense.. The bitcoin was converted to US dollars so that it can be used in real life.

guys not again the same question over and over. they claimed they would give refunds in the currency you paid. the order ack is first in BTC and second in USD (with brace).

If we fail to ship within the advertised Oct-Dec time frame, refunds will be issued.

While we have the rare privilege to communicate with someone from HF, let me ask you a crucial question: Would BTC refunds be the full BTC amount payed, or less based on some US$ calculation?

I think you missed this HashFast_CL.

he want to miss that. I deleted my post after this question because it was more important to get an answer about this. but he prefered to reply to my post instead of the real important question.

Huh  "2 months" ago was Oct 13.  Where did you get the idea Oct 13 was our shipping deadline?

The earliest possible ship date wasn't until about a week after that.   Huh

The actual deadline is Dec 31 and we still anticipate shipping Batch 1 before then.  Otherwise refunds will be issued.

If you think exploding PSUs, inadequate packaging, shipping damage, and half-baked drivers don't matter to customers you should check out the KnC thread, where there are dozens of pages devoted to those problems.

HashFast has taken great care to ensure their customers won't be bothered by those issues.

Best,

-HF_CL

This reply was so unnecessary.  You should learn something from KNC and just keep quiet.  Starting to sound like you are 16.

eh, you are no KNC.....

 Cool  That's true...

HashFast's chips are about 3 times more powerful when compared on a GH per sq.mm basis.

HashFast is shipping with top-shelf quality Sea Sonic PSUs, so our customers won't have to put up with exploding/self-immolating units like KNC's did.

In addition, HashFast lined up an exclusive with CIARA, which means HashFast machines will be assembled and shipped with utmost expediency (no random guys helping load some random van), in professional/durable packaging.

That means double-walled boxes, so HashFast customers' hardware won't arrive broken like so much of KNC's did.

Finally, (again unlike KNC) HashFast has been working closely with ckolivas for a long time to ensure cgminer works flawlessly with our innovative new GN Protocol, Global Work Queue, etc.

After 70 days mining every one of my batch #1 Jupiters have mined aprox. 50 BTC each - let's see how many BTC will your batch #1 units mine in their first 70 days of life.

That (BTC MINED/DAY) is the only thing that matters right now. Power costs are so ridiculously marginal at this stage that bragging about efficiency is just ludicrous.

It also doesn't matter since they don't have any units in the wild and all these problems (or more) may show up for HF.

Good luck to everyone waiting...

thanks for that! but it do not convince me to get back my invested Bitcoin amount. sorry to say that.

I would never in a million years try to convince you about anything amounting to investment advice.

How you choose to invest, speculate, and/or gamble is entirely your own decision and responsibility.  DYODD.

If somebody promises you 'a sure thing' or 'a can't-lose proposition' or a 'guaranteed moneymaker' grab your wallet and run because it's a scam!

Bitcoin mining is extremely risky because it depends on crazy volatile factors like global hashrate/difficulty, fiat/BTC exchange rates, and engineering/manufacturing ultra-precise nanotechnology supported by long supply chains of obscure parts and inscrutable RTL/ASM/C code.

If you would like to help decentralize and protect the network, while possibly profiting in BTC or fiat, HashFast can help you do that by selling you the fastest ASICs in the world.

500 Gigahashes per second.  On a single chip.  With room to overclock.   Cool

If I sell you equipment that makes bitcoins using 500GH/s and offer to ship it (per our plan) in October if you pay a very high premium. Then fail to send it within that time frame....

What you get is a machine that produces less product (bitcoins) as the days roll forward. Every 11 days, the machine losses a percentage of it's productive capacity.

If in the time from October till December the machine lost -90% of it's productive capacity....then a representative being "happy" to announce a +25% increase in efficiency makes no literal sense.

Why would someone be happy about a meager increase in efficiency if by the time it ships it will be completely negated by rising difficulty when it gets into it's customers hands? The machine might not even pay itself off due to decreasing efficiency at producing bitcoins.

HashFast still anticipates shipping Batch One before the Dec 31 deadline.

If we fail to ship within the advertised Oct-Dec time frame, refunds will be issued.

All Batch One orders come with the Miner Protection Plan, providing up to 400% more hashpower than initially purchased.

This MPP has been upgraded twice, free of charge.

The first upgrade changed the raw chips into complete miniboards.

The second upgrade started the MPP countdown on Oct 31, instead of the shipping date.

And now, HashFast is giving its customers an extra 25% initial hashing power beyond the advertised spec.

Those are three significant factors giving HashFast customers a good chance to keep up with the rising difficulty (which is beyond our control).

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it ain't happening.

don't know how many chips they produced for batch 1 but what I would highly appreciate if they send out the upgrade kit with the batch 1 devices if possible (depends on the amount of chips). so then every batch 1 customer has 1TH/s from the beginning.

As a Batch One customer, I fully understand the anxiety and frustration of watching my BTC ROI dwindle as difficulty rises.

Of course ROI in fiat is an entirely different story and a source of much consolation.   Tongue

500GH per second is an engineering fact, not "marketing" BS.

Another engineering fact is that only a finite and very limited number of Batch One chips exist.

HashFast cannot use magic or wishes to create more, so shipping extra capacity is impossible until more chips are ready.

MPP chips have already been paid for and are being fabricated.

Once our production line is complete, meaningful estimates for MPP shipping dates may be anticipated.

While it has been a long process, we are nearing the end of the beginning!

Best,

-HF_CL

i did read it, didn't it. but it says nothing about the real amount of chips they produced.

EDIT: I mean the upgrade kit (x2) not the MPP (x4).
