Hell?
reminds me of a really shitty series on netflix i tried watching called "Terra Nova".  Worst acting I have ever seen.   Cheesy  Anyways, I think all this scamming going on is going to come back and bite all these companies in the ass.  As bitcoin becomes more adopted, blockchain investigations will evolve to the point where people will have a much better understanding of what happened with their money.

Even mixing services will reveal their records if there's money talkin

whattttt terranova was awesome!

Perhaps they had cointerra on their mind? Either way, isn't it time to take the boards out of the oven? What's going on over there now?

So HashFast wants to market themselves as having "HALF A TERRAHASH/s (500GH/s) on a single chip."

Ahahahaha.   That's been on their front page for how long now?

Spellcheck, anyone?

I keep reading it and cannot see the error

Terra: Earth

Tera: 10ˆ12

If they can't get something that simple right, I wonder about the rest. The spelling mistake has been pointed out in this thread before and they received email about it. They have not fixed it yet because they are either working hard and it's not a priority or there is no wifi on the plane to Hawaii

Do you have a copy of their original ToS? They can say anything they want and it would not mean shit unless those particular terms are what the buyer agreed to _at the time of purchase_.  They can easily go back on their word - see Avalon, BFL, etc.
I do, thanks. The usd only refunds was added only during the last month, anyway.

Nice. Can you please post it on pastebin.

You guys think it's likely that they _won't_ deliver by the end of Dec?

thats the tos i agreed to back in august

HashFast seems dead-set on refunding the USD value only, though. So even if you paid 50 BTC, then you're still only getting 5 to 6 BTC back.
They went on for months saying that the refund would have been of the same BTC amount, and they never said the opposite for batch 1. What changed is the ToS for new customers.
However, this is a non issue, they will deliver the first batch. The problem is the MPP.

Wait, what? You forget that most people paid 50 btc per unit back when they were taking pre-orders. No way in frozen hell that a unit will mine 50 btc in it's entire lifetime. So no, a refund would be the better option if they failed to deliver.

Well ofcourse, they'd be stupid to refund in BTC although I would not mind it Wink Oh how I regret buying these things. There is _no_ mining hardware that is more valuable than btc "in hand" This is starting to look like a game for suckers.

99.999% that they will deliver by the end of the year. We should have had our address changed to Antarctica to hope that DHL couldn't reach us in time.

hehe tho, personally assuming you dont sue you are better off just getting the unit and mining. if you just get the refund it will only be 5-6coins vs mining you will make more in the first month

Some are saying that if you ordered later with the direct wallet (not the bitpay ordering that was only available on day 1), you might be able to get your original BTC back.

Personally I like mining, though I will almost definitely not recover the 60 BTC spent on day 1 (even with timely MPP).
And yes... you would be an idiot to ask for a refund if all you are going to get back is a locked in 90% loss.
