That's what the law allows them to do. And btw, those claims will probably have a higher priority over ours.

HF units are continually failing. A request for RMA with CoolIT failed, quoting a "special agreement" with HashFast. We requested a copy of that agreement, but it was not provided and we were referred to HashFast. It must be assumed that CoolIT is not interested in providing a warranty service on their product. The mining operator is working on salvaging third party parts to create low cost solutions to revive some of the HashFast units, which according to the operator is a slow but successful process.

So they paid those coolers at market prices (!!!) and yet they were able to sign a special no-warranty agreement.

Take that and apply to everything else this company well oiled group of scammers did...

I know this is not the point of your post, but let me get this straight: Barber, Skrodenis & DeCastro applied the claim to the court that HashFast owes them money?!?!? Isn't this a bit too much?

I assume by now everybody has received correspondence from Baker & Hostetler LLP

It seems like an extraordinarily stupid deliberate breach of privacy and one big doxxing to me !

So does it matter whether this proposal gets approved or not?

Yes you should vote for the plan, it matters.  If you go read the proposal you will see a listing of estimated recoveries they expect to get that total several million dollars on top of the cash they have on hand right now.  The company had a 3 million dollar insurance policy for example.  They are also in the process of suing Cypherdoc to recover 3000 BTC plus a few other things.

I'm not certain that the decision was as cut and dry as that.  Ask yourself, "who continues to profit if we vote Yes?"

If you have a specific objection why don't you just come out and say what exactly you think is wrong with the plan.

What about ICEBREAKER... is he being sued? Doesn't he have some BTC in his hot little shill mitts?

No, as far as I can tell Icebreaker is just a nobody with a big mouth who was paid a mediocre salary and nothing else.  He filed a outrageous claim that he is owed a large amount of money and that probably will be disputed since there is no factual basis for it.

To get the $3M from insurance, it looks like it will take $500K to litigate.  Any ideas where this money is coming from if they can't even pay the current legal bills?  Is there enough money left to go after Cypherdoc?

For starters a some of the work as already been done (ie: the lawsuit against CypherDoc was filed a while ago) and is included in the legal costs that have already been incurred.  They could also make a contingency deal with what ever lawyer they hire to see this though.  In other words they only get paid if they win.

what is the recent update? I have not received any court file lately.

Basically, they are voting to liquidate and all assets won't cover lawyer fees.

Unsecured creditors (us) are shit out of luck.

Did you finally get contacted?  It looks like they delayed the proposal vote by 2 weeks because the initial mail out excluded a bunch of folks, like you.

hmm should I be concerned that my name doesnt appear on the latest list of money owed?

Is there anyway to contact them and ask them why my name does not appear
