I have a BTC spare and am seriously looking at the PACMiC. If it is now on the S7 its lifetime should be good. Still not sure though, the profit is hard to calculate.

That's because it's very low. This is the worst contract of them all. That's why they have sold so little of it compared to v3. Just buy the hash on s7 or s5 short term and make more profit that way.

And next week:
"We have been hacked! User Funds were stolen."

With the info that they need to check everything and in a few weeks are back online.
But we all know that will not happen.

Maybe this is just an isolated case. Maybe the computer (or phone) of the victim was contaminated.
Or maybe he trolls.

Maybe I'm trying to drive the price down.

Greetings,

I happened to log in to check my PACMiC v3 contract and noticed that about 2 hours ago, while I was asleep, someone did a withdraw from my account, deactivated the google authentication on my HashNest account. Is there something that Bitmain/Hashnest is able to do to assist with this.

S7 is overpriced and will drop over the upcoming weeks. That or the price of the S5 will jump up. It got so cheap because a lot sold to buy s7 hash rate preorders

S7 ll drop. There s no reason for S5 to go up, with these recent diff jumps, the price is almost where it should be, maybe it should go just a bit up.

S5 vs S7 Profitability - You heard it here first.

For everybody panic selling their S5 hash, I welcome you to put together some simple maths on the profitability between S5 and S7 right now.

Let's assume that you have 10 Bitcoin that you want to invest in Hashnest, and you're torn between S5 and S7. Here's the maths:

S7 Profitability

With 10 bitcoins, you'll be able to buy 5195 GH/s at the current price of 0.00192468.

Those 5195 GH/s will earn you 0.0429617 BTC per day, assuming 100% luck.

You'll be charged 0.01228772 maintenance per day.

Leaving you with a total PER DAY profit of 0.03067398 per day.

S5 Profitability

With 10 bitcoins, you'll be able to buy 13967 GH/s at the current price of 0.00071593.

Those 13967 GH/s will earn you 0.11550452 BTC per day, assuming 100% luck.

You'll be charged 0.06697278 maintenance per day.

Leaving you with a total PER DAY profit of 0.04853174 per day.

TLDR:

With 10 Bitcoins, buying S5 at today's rate will earn you 0.04853174 per day.

With 10 Bitcoins, buying S7 at today's rate will earn you 0.03067398 per day.

It isn't a panic sell.

There is a premium price on the S7 because as the difficulty goes up, it effects the S7 less.  If the difficulty was twice what it is now, the S7 would have a 56% maintenance and the S5 would have a 114% (and would have already been shut off).

Even the S4 is more "profitable" than the S5: 10 BTC = 34494 GH/s of S4 at the current price of 0.0002899 = 0.28525469 BTC per day * 20.64% (revenue after maintenance) = 0.05887657 BTC per day.  This is greater than the S7 and the S5 (as it should be).  However, if you invest in the S4, I guarantee you will loose money.  If anyone cares to let me short their shares, I will put my BTC where my mouth is! so is there a reason my hashnest wallet is locked? Got a .02 under withdraws with an Audit next to it for over 12 hours and has the .02 as a withdraw locked...

So much words when you can write simply:
  • S7: 0.30% daily, ROI=329 days
  • S5: 0.49% daily, ROI=206 days

Many people want more information. Including me.

Hi,

I'm just typing some figures into the bitcoin mining calculators and i can't seem to see the s7 on hashnest making a profit in a year. Am I doing something wrong here ?
I've used :

http://jblevins.org/btcmpc/
and
https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/mining/

using the dats :

Hash power - 4870 Ghs
Power consumption : 1210 watts
Maint fees : 0.0976
hardware cost - 1923.

Am I doing something wrong here ?

That sound correct . That's why S5 is so cheap. ROI is 210 days for S5

Most people using Hashnest will sell the hash before full ROI to get back some of the capital. This way you don't wait for full ROI and can make a profit faster, just depends on the value of the miner down the road, diff increase, BTC price and newer miners being shipped.

Nope, you seem to be doing the math correctly. There is other value besides what the miner mines as well though, like residual value of the miner.

Hashnest marked the shop "sold out" when S7 market opened Friday night. There were over 600 S7 miners still left for sale. Hashnest will be wanting to sell those GH/s.

S7 price is headed down and there is a good chance price will drop to .0015 where there is a 102 bitcoin buy wall.

Just maybe they removed from store to slowly sell above 161 into the market? Who knows, that's sleazy but who knows. I will buy at 151 if it goes that low. Better then buying from shop when they open that again.

s7 market is out and its pretty lame, ill give it a couple days, see if price gets better or more volume. im going back to s5 for now

Yes, very expensive for now. I m sure these re just speculators trying to rip off unsuspecting noobs.

Give it a few days to sort out. S7 fair value based on the pre-sale is .001614/GH/s. Most bids at the market are at .00162 or less, which is where you should bid if you want to buy. Makes no sense to pay speculators a profit. There is no rush to buy.

right now price is at 0.0022.

Good thing is it's pulling S5 price up.
And even at this price S5 is still much more profitable than S7.

Bonus : do not expect S7 price to go below 0.0018 unless shop price decrease .

Already below 175, and shop is sold out. I think another 7-10 days before shop sells more into market. I think s5 is still a good deal at below 80 and at 73 now
