HashOcean is a ponzi scheme that struck more than 700 thousand members. There are several reasons for this conclusion and most of them beyond the fact of being out of breath. Doing some research you can easily realize that hashocean used data center images of Genesis-Mining as if they were her. This is pure ponzi...

you can trust sites that are run by real companys and look legit.
hashocean -> a lot of red flags and no way like a legit company
see here:

no terms of use
no imprint or real data (like links to a commercial directory)
no proof of mining
hidden domain registration that costs extra money
unrealistic payouts (why would they need your money if it is so profitable)
5% refereal programm
..... can be continued but im too lazy

Just use your brain next time.
Nobody wants to make you rich, all they want is your (hard) earned money without a lot of efford.

I doubt that the HashOcean owner was even based in the US, which increases the likelihood that the FBI will do nothing.

they are not based in the US nor United Kingdom , i think they are somewhere in this planet but we don't where they are hiding maybe they are just using a fake identity when they are sending an email .

I'm starting to think all these cloudmining scams have one brain/organization backing them. Could be a syndicate?

for me it looks like greedy web developers....
i would also do so, but im too honest to make my money in this way.
Karma is a bitch  Grin

you also do not need any "backing". Domain and host is cheap, ponzy scripts are prebuild or custom made in a few days. i guess you can start with around 500€ in BTC to make the first payouts, some marketing and SEO and boom Smiley

i also would have no idea what for what i need 5700 Stolen BTC, in my country you have no chance to get that to Cash without going to jail Cheesy and buy shit @ amazon and then still need to go 2 work is also bullshit....

simple rule, dont trust companies that 1.) are not registred, 2.) have fake adresses and 3.) a hidden "who is". (work of 5 minutes)
why should anybody pay for privacy ? no legit site does that.
And ive sold a lot of domains in the past two years ...

What I want to know is how you can have that many users, yet have such poor security you can get your entire domain stolen. If this was the case, the money was a sitting duck the whole time, this was bound to happen. Also have to marvel at the complete lack of dB backups. Really?! It's only a mining company, it's not like they would need the records for tax purposes..

Go to FBI IC3 ( https://complaint.ic3.gov ) instead and file a complaint that is obvious another way of getting Login and password

Only required 100 petitions out of thousand of users ?

I doubt that owner of HashOcean will be caught, There have been many cloud mining in the past and none of the owners has been caught Tongue
FBI has more important thing to do than chasing Ponzi scheme Wink

I dont think the petition will be helpfull to chase hashocean owners and i dont remember ever since that their are hyip owners are been busted by fbi surely the hyip owners are using vpns or any location changer so they cannot be trace if someone trace them thats why all we need to do is move on now hashocean chapter is closed and thats hyip life.

Why it is required to enter a login password for FB have you notice that? is it nescessary that way?

PLEASE do not send any info to pages related to HO, or you will/can loose more!

"hacker stole our domain" is kinda new-ish.
I beleve "Water in our datacenter" that CLDmine used was kinda unique aswell Smiley
Anyone remember any other unique excuses used for shit and giggles?

Oh yes, I remember the excuse given by topmine

It is:

Look what i found LOL. Do u believe these guys? So far no deposits on it, but that will prob change once it gets around...

I found this online: Hashocean Refunds 10 uur · Dear members/miners, as you may have noticed our domain has been hacked and sold, this was beyond our control and despite our teams very best efforts we have been unable to recover it. Our official Facebook, Twitter and Youtube accounts have also been hacked and closed. We have had to take the unprecedented step now to admit defeat, the hackers have won and Hashocean is no more. Our domain and our Data Centres were not directly linked but to be sure our members investments were protected we have been forced to cease all mining operations with immediate effect and transfer all remaining BTC (Approx $3,500,000) to a new secure wallet as we can't be 100% sure the hackers won't be able to get access to your investments eventually. We have been able to recover a partial backup containing our final full days transactions/payouts along with our customer database and wish to refund as many of our customers as possible but we fear this might not be possible as we suspect the hacker/hackers may of been clients who accessed our domain via fake customer accounts they had setup so the only way we can resolve the matter is as follows: (Customers will be refunded strictly on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis, when the secured funds are gone, they are gone) Please carefully take note of the EXACT amount of the last confirmed BTC payment you received from us dated 26th June 2016. Please send this EXACT amount of BTC to the below secure wallet address - please include with the payment notes your registered email address for Hashocean (DO NOT SEND ACCOUNT PASSWORD) 14gpLjzLMGhwM9jeCBUmCmkxznKVcudKfn We will cross reference your payment and email address with our backup records and as long as they match we will then refund that payment along with your investment back to your accounts registered wallet.(We estimate the process to take no longer than 72Hrs from receipt of your payment to processing of refund) Please note we will only be refunding the funds you invested plus any re-invested funds, we will not be refunding any sign-up/referral/bonus funds at this time - we think this is the fairest approach so as to refund as many of our loyal investors as possible, if after this process is complete there are any funds remaining we will then start the process of refunding any referral/bonus funds, again on a first come, first served basis - watch this page for updates. Finally please be extra careful with your account details, we have been informed of a number of fake websites etc. that have been set up using our name and tricking people into disclosing their wallet details, email address and passwords - PLEASE do not send any of your personal details to anyone ever by unsecured methods such as email or website. Yours, Team Hashocean

LOL. Their last attempt to milk more BTCs
