I think most of us have this kind of childhood or teenage memories where we use to gamble at school, or at least make some bets during school hours.
This reminds me of the time when I was in high school, and I was setting a match with money involve along with my class mates and we didn't notice that our teacher was already at the room and heard about it, luckily he wasn't so strict and just let it slide and starts the class.

I think every gambler can relate to that story to a greater or lesser extent. And when we are acting like this, some of us lose a lot, others not so big but still a painful amount. It happens to every gambler at some point.

I am not sure about doing crazy things after it but I agree that a lot of gamblers, especially those who gamble for profits, can barely accept defeat, they wouldn't be able to accept their losses and move on, and this is the reason why many gamblers chase their losses because they don't want to let go of their money and in trying to pursue that, they lose even more money and in some cases, as said, they do crazy stuff like spending everything they have while trying to recover their losses.

I think there can't be anything crazier than not stopping and spending every penny you have while trying to recover your losses while knowing how brutal gambling can be sometimes because you can literally witness a loss streak long enough to exhaust all your funds without giving you a single win.

Exactly, I agree with your opinion that no matter what the situation is and no matter how many losses make us disappointed or emotional in the end we still can't do anything because after all it all happened because of our decision and because luck is far from us, As you said above that there is absolutely no coercion from any party to gamblers to gamble because it is all on their own will and decision, casinos only provide games and the government only gives licenses and maybe I will call you a loser if you don't accept all the conditions that occur at the end of the session especially defeat while gambling is always about winning or losing.

So that's why it's important to have a correct understanding of what gambling is, because if from the beginning you understand that losing will always be part of the results at the end of gambling then I think it's less likely for you to feel too emotional when you lose because I'm sure from the beginning you only dare to bet a small amount or an amount that you can afford the results, And another thing is that I agree with you that I think most gamblers now should already know about the bad effects that exist in gambling, there is a lot of evidence and examples of some predecessors who experienced downturns so with this then maybe they don't have a reasonable excuse to say “don't know”.

That's what I always believe and I will try to lecture myself if I feel like I will complain beause I lose. "No one force us to gamble", that's the truth, we gamble, we should understand that there's a risk of losing and sometimes we are too ambitious we do some crazy bets like multiple leg parlays with a small bet and huge win, and we know that it does only have a very slim chance of winning, but we are still hoping we could hit the jackpot one day without noticing that slowly we are losing money already. For me, I prefer a single bet like a 50% chance of winning or even a bit lower but parlay just don't give us a good chance, we can only win if we are too lucky.

It's good that you understand the risks and the positive and negative consequences of gambling, but I think everyone knows this when they are starting, it is just that they get carried away in the middle and then they forget everything and focus only on gambling more and more for some reason. If you start gambling, just remember that there is always a right time for you to stop gambling, if you understand and follow this, you won't be harmed at all.

Remember this all the time, whenever you see that you are constantly losing and have lost a significant amount of your bankroll, just stop right there because you won't magically hit a big win and get everything back, even though it happens to some, it doesn't have to happen to every gambler. Another right time for stopping is when you have won something good, if you don't stop at such a moment, you will most likely lose everything back to the house.

Those people have no one to blame but themselves, because even if they try to place the blame on casinos or the governments that made gambling legal, at the end of the day no one forced them to gamble and they took that decision on their own, and if we add that the consequences of gambling addiction are widely known, and a quick search can bring to them hundreds of stories about people that went thought that experience, then they have no excuse, since they cannot claim to be ignorant about what it could happen if they lost themselves into gambling.

I've seen its damage. This requires smarter thinking. It's about education and understanding desire psychology. Some people enjoy it, as long as they recognize their boundaries. We should educate them risk management and self-control instead of banning everything. This goes beyond money to personal power. Understanding your brain's workings frees you from impulses. Responsible gaming makes you mentally tough. We need to be practical, but let's encourage people to make their own decisions without judgment.

And that's a dangerous point to be with. Because once you're not aware of your actions, you losses control of out of your risk. And if it becomes a significant negative number on your account,  those losses will hunt you down. You may do even crazier things or getting a loan, selling your house or cars to gamble it again and take your money back. What I am unhappy about is that, this type of thing repeats on different people and that's how they get broke.

That is 100% true.Their judgment is clouded and they do not see the long term results of their actions which in 99.99999% of the cases is devastating and I intentionally put five nines after that 99 in percentage to show how small is the number who happen to recover their money by doing such a dangerous behaviors.

Unfortunately people with low self esteem and character are usually the ones who think that if they don't get the money back that they have lost the world will judge them and nothing good will come out for them,it is this mentality that we have to fight in order to save many people from doing "stupid/crazy" things just to feed their gambling hunger.

people who gamble on things they shouldn't gamble on are people who are blinded by gambling and don't have rational thinking. because if he had long-term thinking, then he would not want to gamble his house or car just to get money from their gambling. because people who gamble on things like that to get their money back mostly end tragically, where they not only lose their money but also their assets, and this often happens in casinos, so if a gambler is wise they wouldn't want to make the mistakes those people made.

In youth when everyone lives with money from father or some other parent then they don't value their money because they don't have to earn it hard.  And at that time everyone gets addicted to bad habits and this habit cannot be forgotten later when they become adults. And gaming is something that is highly addictive and adults can also be attracted to it because of the financial issues involved.  It is possible to win a lot of money from here, this greed makes people addicted to gambling. And when more addicted, people act like crazy for gambling

Each has our own unforgotten memories and one of those are high school moments. So many things can happen during it. There is love life, got dropped out, and like the ones you said there, doing silly things when the teacher is not yet around but this can also be caused of being dropped out if one is not careful enough.

You guys are lucky to not get caught because I know gambling is highly prohibited in any schools as this is not a good example to the kids or students. Students are in tight budget so sometimes the stake involved can be their snacks or we will do our classmates a favour like do their assignments, something like that. It is risky but fun.

I already felt that in my young age before and I admitted that's what young people wants to feels while they are still young. They wants to have a memory about something crazy that they do in their young age so they can tells the stories to their grand children as their memory. But they must thinks about what they do can gives a bad impacts to their lives or not because many children doesn't thinks about that, especially if they have been asks by their friends to playing gambling or other things. They are lacks of careful consideration about what they will to do with their friends and they will see that thing is just for have fun but behind of that, that can makes their lives slowly change. With lacks of careful consideration can makes them do something wrong for their lives and they will gets the bad impacts of that. Parents must knows about that so they can helps their children when they see their children change their habits or doing something unusual.

I think that those who do crazy things in gambling are those who cannot control themselves properly. Because gambling will usually only end in defeat and I think those who do crazy rights in gambling are because they cannot accept the defeat that is certain to occur, and I think they do that because they are frustrated with the gambling that is done, with their frustrated state that might make them dare to do crazy things. Like risking all the money they have in the hope that the last bet is because of frustration can turn things around by getting a win that can cover all the losses that have occurred.
With them thinking they can make money by gambling it is one of the problem points, where such thinking is likely to only make them unable to accept defeat and make them addicted to gambling alone.

But I think these young people do all this not to gain the experience of lifetime but more likely as form of courage and ambition that always appears in their minds.
After all, they are still young and what they do often lacks careful consideration and they also lack control over themselves to be able to determine what is worth doing and what should be avoided.
If it is related to seeking experience then they will do it once and not do it again, but in reality they continue to do the same thing when they have money and that is because they have big enough ambitions.
Moreover, nowadays in every social group of young people there is kind of condition that will give feeling of awe when one of them dares to do something crazy in gambling and manages to win.
Moreover, they also feel happy or satisfied when doing several things related to gambling, especially for those who like slot games, the madness can be much greater and they do anything to pursue that satisfaction and ambition.
They will never stop until the bad impacts have really been felt.

Same here! I'm just wondering, those people who did something crazy about gambling are also those people who really can't control theirselves when it comes to betting, there are things they do that they are not totally aware of, because their minds are only focused on gambling and how to make money or return the money they lost, Because if a person is in the right mindset, they will not create any scandal or trouble in the gambling area.

I myself have never done anything crazy to bet, because I think there is no guarantee of winning and making things better. I gamble appropriately with the money I bet that is what I can afford to lose. and in my opinion those who dare to bet on crazy things like selling property or other things to gamble again, I think they are people who have been hypnotized by gambling, so they think that by continuing to gamble there is a win that can be obtained.
I can't imagine what it would be like if I dared to do something crazy to gamble, for example a gambling addict who has lost all his wealth because of gambling, and he is at the point of frustration by daring to sell his remaining assets such as a house, instead of hoping for his gambling. could give him victory but instead put him at the point of misery. It is really not recommended to do crazy things to gamble, but there have been many cases of people who dare to do crazy things to gamble.

You just made me to remember how I lost my breakfast money on betting the type of cloth our principal will wear to school when I was in college. Usually, the principal has this habit of wearing a particular type of dress in Monday and Friday, so I heard them arguing with some guys that the principal wouldn't wear a particular cloth and only few of them knew that the principal had told them already what he wanted to wear and I bet my breakfast money and that of my siblings and I lost. I refused to pay them but I was reported to some senior students and I had to comply with the agreements, this was how I made my first bet without realizing. Crazy times huh!

Ever since then, when I want to bet or do any crazy stuff, I make sure I don't bet amount I know I can let go when I lose, the money I would even think about if things doesn't go as I expected. How some people bet their house rent, school fees and even savings to bets still surprised me because I'm yet to see that kind of pressure that will make me want to bet such money no matter how little the amount.

Yes you're right, it's not wise to see gambling as a major source of income, yes it could serve as an opportunity to make a fortune, it's been proven and some individuals have been lucky to make a fortune through it, but such luck doesn't occur to everyone that's why every individuals who gamble must be working or have other source of income, and like you've said the best way to see gambling is a means of having fun or entertainment.

 I wonder what gives individuals the audacity to do such, like are people that dumb or what, why would they even think of that for the first place, anyone gambler that's got to that level must be an addicted gambler and such person really needs help cause with time they might begin to sell valuable properties or commit crime just to satisfy their gambling habit. I believe he or she might be thinking that since luck plays a good role in gambling, maybe they might be lucky, but that's very unwise.
