Not with the hanging or open mouth but sort of dissatisfaction at myself, call it regrets maybe. Anyways, I still gamble up to this day, but not the same enthusiasm or addiction as in the last 10 years prior. I just gamble today to enjoy and have some fun, that's it.

Sometimes I feel regrets too, but then I realize that gambling is part of the entertainment, and when I played gambling, I don't overthink about the result. As long as we can enjoy the gambling game and we can know that gamble is only for fun thing, we can prevent from the addiction which can come to all gamblers. We need to hold ourselves from attempting to get deeper in gambling because once we lose control, we can lose anything we have. I still gamble till now, and I can enjoy the game I played

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
I have quit gambling now.

However, when I look at the wager amount of my accounts in various sites and add them up, a total of 15 BTC comes up!

That's around $150000= 10,500,000 INR ! Around 1 crore Rupees or 0.15 million dollars!

I know it's easy to reach that wager since wager counts all bets even on 99% chance wins so if someone with 1 BTC wagers 20 times on 99% win chance and win all, they will wager 20 BTC!

But still to think I have wagered that much amount leaves me with a open mouth sometimes. Overall I'm in loss tho xD

I don't want to make those calculations for my losses!
Probably I would fall in depression after that as I would think so many things that I would do with that money If I haven't gambled them in the casinos.
I know that I am in Loss as you do, but it is better not to know the amount...
While calculating your losses can be a painful experience it is something that must be done, addicted gamblers try to downplay their losses and to exaggerate their profits, it is better to have a clear view of how much you have lost in gambling, if you are a responsible gambler there is nothing to fear and in fact you could be surprised by the small amount you have lost, but if for some reason the number is way higher than what you thought then that could be a signal to reduce the money you spend at the casino.

The end of the road for gambling is almost always with a loss. The only good thing is the fun. But when you wager with 1 BTC up to 20 BTC, that is not fun anymore. I guess instead of smiling and excited to know the result, my body might be shaking with tense and nervousness.

By the way, if you set the percentage at 99%, you simply do not want to gamble. You only want to win. But since there still stands a chance to lose, it is utter foolishness, at least for me, to wager 1 BTC and possibly win 1k Sats. 99% may not sound a risk at all, but 1 BTC over 1k Sats is!

I always play for the fun and if I win sometimes thats just nice. But me and other players mostly use the winning to play on and end when we are broke again. Only the good gamblers know when to stop. Wink

I also gamble for fun although you cannot but also look forward to the win. There is more fun in there. And yet if the win becomes the sole objective, the fun might lose its place. That's the beginning of the end. Emotions will run high and before you realize it, you already have an empty wallet.

I think every gambler have a hope to be the winner, so they still playing gambling. But they need to be realistic that they cannot always be the winner. It is better to have fun inside the gambling than to pursue the win because that will be too difficult for people who don't have luck. We can get stress to try to be the winner, and we are still far away from the win itself.

With gambling wallets getting emptied is very simple. Every user look for fun, but the same won't last for a long time as people doesn't want to get defeated. If the winning continues the fun will be big, else the wallet fund keeps on decreasing. The worst part is losing the capital fund which too won't be realized while spending without limits.

I have done this for some days now and have really noticed that I have wasted a lot of money and I don’t think it’s worth it. Although I had fun playing but this money could have done very well in the lives of some people. I try to imagine how much lives over 8BTC could have changed, how many school fees it could have paid for the less privileged, but here I have wasted it all on different gambling sites without profits or hope of getting back.

well, gambling will never escape losses even though I'm sure the majority of gamblers here have bigger losses than wins. But it's a bit stupid when I have to think about all the amount of my losses during gambling, which means I don't accept the risks. When we think of all our losses, it only causes deep regret in us. It is better for us to be sincere, yet on the other hand we have received entertainment, experience and we play consciously.

If you already the money, forget about that especially if you are playing for more than a year.
Its a jaw dropping amount of money for sure, but its ok because you choose to be like that and its your decision to lose that kind of money. I do gamble but there's no turning back for me, I play extra money most of the time so its not that sad after many games.
It can only make you more depresses if you look at your losses over the past years of playing, it can result for you to be sad for sure. I only play occasionally in casinos and Its hard to know how much I loss on that since no records at all but in crypto online gambling, for sure you can easily know that. If you think you lose to much, then stop gambling for you to make things right.

In my opinion, regardless the strategy used on whatever sites, looking back at the amount wagered will always leave players with a hanging mouth, so please ignore all this this breakdown and calculations you are doing and focus on looking exactly at what you have done with gambling , the reason you have wasted so much money and the last question to be asked, if it’s truly worth it?

I have done this for some days now and have really noticed that I have wasted a lot of money and I don’t think it’s worth it. If you lost those money in a short period of time, and you couldn't afford losing such money during that period, that's wrong, and also you shouldn't be risking that amount, in the first place. But I disagree with the approach when people are summing up all their losses over the past several years, and then think what other things they could do with those money. You spent those money on your entertainment. Who knows, maybe you were working better and earning more after relaxing with gambling? You are not adding together all the money spent on, say, going to movie theaters during the last several years, and regretting not spending that on something else, right?

I often look at my wagered amount whenever I'm about to exit the site but I never had a hanging mouth even once. Even others wagered amount that reaches 1K btc doesn't make me amaze. Never think of anything about my wagered amount but the rakeback. If there's no rakeback, wagered amount doesn't matter to me.

Well on PD I was a VIP so I have wagered 100BTC+ there and today that would be $1mio+.

And yes, thats a lot but I wagered a lot when the BTC price was a lot lower then nowadays.
That was too much wagered.
And what was the result have you gain that you wagered?
Even me, I can't wager even a fraction of bitcoin because I gamble one or twice a week and that was for fun.
That's a good thing to OP that he decided to quit earlier rather than he loses more than 15 bitcoin which a huge amount and I can build a house on that amount.

OP didn't lost 15 bitcoin, he has just wagered 15 bitcoin. So for the most players here wagering 15 bitcoin isn't that much. Some do it within a few bets.

Yes, there is a difference between wagering 15 Bitcoins and depositing 15 BTC. If you have 1 btc or even 0.5 btc deposit in the gambling site, it wont take long before your wagering could reach upto 15 btc.

Yea amount "wagered" is a bit misleading, technically you could just bet a few BTC with 99:1 odds. Would suck if you ever lost though lol.
Just couple of days ago someone on the forum has wagered with 7 Bitcoin and lost. $ Bitcoins won afterwards but what’s the benefits then? Doing a Bitcoin trade would have been much lucrative with 7 Bitcoin. IN other words, I think if there is enough possibility for you to win at the sports betting, which of course require some experience, you should still be mindful about how much you wager.

Nope because never in my vocabulary that I need to check my losses whe I cannot just ignore it and continue my journey anyway there’s no sense in doing such

Though sometimes I am figuring those in my mind specially when time comes that I am broke and no enough money to play.but ofcourse it’s just because I am bored and nothing to spend with to play

If we look at our past and calculate our loses in gambling we will always remain sad and wished if we could changed the past. Remember that we should only play gambing with our extra money and should make up our mind that the money invested in gambling can be lost and we should not repent on this loss.

Whenever I looked back at my wagered, I almost choke. Jome, but kidding aside. I have so much total wagered that I can not imagined I have almost reached 1btc though. And the reality sucks that my profits is just too small and I can count on my fingers how many times did I just payout. Anyway, this is gambling. Accept the fact that this is the consequences of gambling

That's the reality of gambling. You don't realize you just lose more compared to what you win. You just think of the prize or profit if you will win. Gambling is just all about luck and people shouldn't treat it to earn extra money but as an entertainment only.
