I don't look at how much the wager I made before because if I am guessing, I think it's not more than 0.01 btc and as now, bitcoin price is up and down, so I think the amount in the dollar will be random Grin
A real gambler never takes a look at how many wagers he made because he only calculates on how much profit he will make and if he loses, he will not think too much and only try to make more profit.

I have quit gambling now.

However, when I look at the wager amount of my accounts in various sites and add them up, a total of 15 BTC comes up!
woah thats huge . from how many years did you play until you reach all of that amount ?  the saying is really true that regrets always comes on an end but hey , its not a whole 15 btc that you gamble  so cheer up.

i know it's easy to reach that wager since wager counts all bets even on 99% chance wins so if someone with 1 BTC wagers 20 times on 99% win chance and win all, they will wager 20 BTC!
no its not easy to reach that amount  . ive been playing for over two years but my lifetime wagger is i think wont reach over 1 btc  , that is because im mostly using the sites faucets to gamble  .

But still to think I have wagered that much amount leaves me with a open mouth sometimes. Overall I'm in loss tho xD

past is past , you already quit on gambling so move on  .

Lol. I don't think you're alone in that anyway. Mosy gamblers don't really think about how much they're playing with. It's when they look back that they'll realize it's serious amount already. I don't think you're regretting it that much though. It's over and done with and you lost a pretty good amount that's probably enough to set up a small business or other good investments. All you can fo is to look ahead and take lessons from that.

You shouldn't be gambling in the first place as the religion you probably belong to does not permit it, lol.. (my religion doesn't ban too much. It emphasize more on moderation like it does on alcohol.)

Well,  most people do not make profits from gambling, so this shouldn't be a surprise. There are still minority that still succeed. I guess most of the successes come from skill-based gamblings .

I do not think that total wagered matters because when I looked at one site I gambled, I totaled 0.04 BTC wagered but I only used 200K sats to reach that wager.

Cheesy. That's got to be painful. But then again, just thinking how much btc i have used and gambled when it was only $500-300 makes me want to go full denial mode on my choices.

Same here. But I do not think of it that much because back then it was just small value and I enjoyed using it for gambling anyway. The most losses I incurred is from betting in sports but it made me enjoy the match more anyway.

Yes and most of the time I regretlookig at it and realizing how much I could have sabed if I wasn't beig reckless.
I could have much more money and spemt it on something more important that is the reason I decided to stop gambling and focus on something far more important.

I loved to deposit with bonuses, I deposit $100-$500 (in crypto of course), with a 100% bonus I get double amount but I need to wager x40, x50 that amount, sometimes less if it`s some special promotion, but usually is x40. In just one evening I either make money with that or I lose everything. For some time I was totally into it, I chased casino promotions for that kind of bonuses. That was gambling my friends, all night long. It`s impossible to calculate how much I wagered with crypto betting. I love to think that I made more than I lost, I had good wins and pretty big ones, but I had losing streaks too. All in all, I had great fun, and I still have fun when I gamble and I like to do it, only I don`t have so much free time as I had before.

However, when I look at the wager amount of my accounts in various sites and add them up, a total of 15 BTC comes up!

That's around $150000= 10,500,000 INR ! Around 1 crore Rupees or 0.15 million dollars!

Did you take the price of bitcoin into factor? You know, when the price of bitcoin was low like $100, people would bet like 0.5 BTC in one go. If you are going to measure your bet amount in Fiat currency system, then starting taking average of all price through out the time you placed your bet to get the real bet amount in fiat.
And like you said, one could just place like 100 Sat bet on 99% win chance on auto bet and reach 100 BTC wagered amount by doing nothing. I prefer calculating profit/loss through your lifetime of gambling.

I stand with Ukraine.
I believe the proximity of the actual loses should be house edge * amount wagered if you are not a high roller. Let's say total wagered $150,000 with 1% of the house edge, then you only lost about $1,500. What do you think?

99% winning chance is terrible by the way. You will have to play for a long time with a minimal return. The best strategy still "short term" martingale IMO. Exit after several rolls.

I've noticed that normally I lose on dice sites much more than that what has to be because of the house edge. Here's, for example, my current stats for two sites:

1. Total wagered: 0.01124462 Total profit: -0.00026772

2. Total wagered: 1.48850195 Total profit: -0.05359190

Both sites have 1% house edge, but, as you can see, the lost amount is higher than 1% of the wagered.

BUT, I've also noticed that if you play with the highest win chance possible, you lose exactly the house edge from the wagered amount after around 10k bets made.

Has anyone noticed that too?

Not only on having a minimal return but the risk behind on chasing losses would be there.High chance to win but once you have been bust up then
a long way for you to recover that bet of yours for you to break even.

Martingale is common but its impossible for most to stop on midway after winning some several bets yet they do push it hard until the very end until their
balance becomes zero.

Nice move quitting gambling, you may had a very bad experience and for sure you will miss the times of excitement when gambling, bear with it and continue in your life without gambling anymore. you will just have more hanging of your mouth moments if you insist on betting huge amounts and still lose. The 99% is just like every strategy, all of the strategies are risky and I think I want to use the 50-% as when I lose big or less in the same  amount and gives me no hurt feelings.

Wagering is nothing and that signifies nothing except you've rolled a lot of times. The thing we should consider is our total win or loss.
For me alone, I've lost over $3000 on gambling in the last 6 months. Half of it on the same day. I couldn't sleep for 2 days, decided to give up gambling for life but again.

I remember long ago I was just curious to see my wagering amount for two weeks and it turned out that I risked £89K and won around £91K ish. I have to say that I was a gambling addict that time.  I used to be online 24/7, rarely sleeping and outing. Me and my laptop was my daily life.

It was not a good life at all.

I have never bet big amounts and when I see your sum of all your wagering in your country currency I am amazed. With all that money you could have lived as a Maraja in luxury and I also think you have taken the correct step to quit gambling after losing this huge amount in gambling.
The more capital you spend the more wagered you will play with the record you play safe with big chance of win. even though your capital is large if you play with high risk does not guarantee you have a large gamble wagered, I myself have little capital but I play long time in 1 day so that the wagered I have can be quite large

Oh yeah, when I add up my wagered amounts on all websites, I come up with a number of over 100 BTC.
Though you should take that number with a grain of salt, since it's just a wagered amount, I haven't actually deposited that much.

I mean, when you play dice at X1.02, you get there quite easily!

Dump it!!!
Most of the time people rack up large wager amounts by simply betting smallish amounts with a very high win %.

e.g. betting $50 with a 99.9% win chance repeatedly. You could do that 50x in a row before you are statistically likely to lose, therefore racking it up to $2,500 alone.

Don't use this as a metric for how much you've really bet or lost unless you're betting with low win chances.

OP, are you sure about that amount? As far as I remember you recently cleared your high school and preparing for engineering ( it means you are not older than 20 years) and you are from India, West Bengal. May I know how long you have been in gambling?

Your statement might be correct, but I am sure then you mistakenly posted this topic with your Alt account Tongue. if not then stop posting BS plz
Lol, nice catch JSRAW, unfortunatly I am currently out of merits, your post would be definitly worth to merit!
I learned that you can compare gamblers and their won or wagered amount to fishermen, the catched fishes are always four times as big as they really arewhen the talk about them Wink so you have to take any mentioned amount with a grain of salt ...
That's fine Cheesy

And btw no detective work, i just happened to remember OP's post because i merited him once Cheesy strange he didn't replied to my statement yet.

PS : I am not accusing OP for having a alt or something. it was just cheeky comment from my side.
