Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?
I've lost .7 btc on poloniex, my account was hacked. i did not had 2fa on that account, if i had it enabled it wouldn't have happened. Undecided
something like that happened to me too, someone logged into my account as i did not have 2fa set, fortunately i did not have any bitcoins in my wallet at that time though now im more careful

i have never lost any bitcoins because of bad decisions or something like that, only i have lost somewhere like a half of bitcoin on gambling because i did not manage to make any money with it

Guys if we do a survey on this forum about how many users have lost Bitcoin and on what I am pretty sure we would get results like 40% on gambling 40% on ponzi and HYIP schemes and 20% on defaulted loans and other reasons. We need to stop being gullible and stop looking to make a quick profit by investing in websites with ludicrous interest rates because it reeks of scam like a mile away.

Exactly majority of us have lost our hard earned coins in gambling and investing in doubler thinking that our coins will be multiplied in a quick way but at the end of the day we loose everything.

Yeah I have lost some Bitcoins by gambling to much on these online gambling sites. But I am not addicted to gambling so I still have some Bitcoins that I hold for the future.
I try to spend as less Bitcoins as possible online because I know I can make money with it.

i have never lost bitcoin because of scams, hacks or anything like that, thankfully!
but i have lost some small amounts here and there in gambling which is my fault.
and also i have lost some in trading altcoins.

Same here. Never really lost any BTC from scams.
But with gambling, haha. I lost a lot and almost bankrupt my account.

I lost 10BTC in a scam back when the price was around $10.50 or so. I staked a poker player 10 btc and he disappeared with my coin.

Lesson learned. I was scammed, but I blame myself. It was my own fault for the money I lost.

Since then, the number one rule I have implemented for myself when it comes to gambling:

Never lend, borrow, stake or accept a stake. Only play with my own money and no one else's.

always lost coin in gambling  Grin

LOL... thats really weird to see the person who lost his bitcoins by gambling. So Hereafter atleast he should be careful as much he can. Because is not not standard income in any kind of money, neither fiat nor bitcoins So we should not go with these kind of things.

No lost coins here. I have all my coins stored safely in cold wallets and they always stay there.

People losing coins is 95% of the time their fault because they mainly lose it by gambling, getting scammed, altcoin investing.

Yes we lose because we are hoppers to our bitcoin will multiply in short period of time. Me i lost my bitcoin in gambling, tradings, hyips. Lost im gambling because i was being use to win and roll and roll more when unlucky time strikes i lose my bitcoin and left nothing thats bad in tradings i lose i buy the coins for high price without monitoring and it dump to the lowest and didnt up again lose again money, in hyips  lose and get scam the site run in just 1 day. But the point their we learn are lesson and be smart next time.
