As a gambler we see winning big as success is gambling, do you share and celebrate your winning story with friends ?
For me and my friends who have gambled, it is clear that sharing stories about betting is something we often do when we are together. Be it betting like a ball or just showing some of the biggest wins in slot games. Even when I hit a big win, I would share the winnings by asking each other's casino usernames and playing together until you can call it a race to win. Whoever wins will treat you to a meal and a drink at a restaurant. We enjoy it as a game, not as an over-action or addiction. That's what I often do when I'm with friends.

More like, have my losses made someone give up gambling, lol.

But no, I think many of us, from the responses I'm reading, have similar situations in our lives that we don't openly talk about gambling. I would never tell anyone how much I already spent gambling. Of course not really big losses compared to what I earn, but it's something I consider as a hobby and pasttime which a lot of people wouldn't get as they would see it as a waste.

It's also something frowned upon.

So winnings or losings, it's all secret except with a few close friends. At least I know I will never be held responsible for "luring" someone to gambling...

Most people around me knew that I am a regular gambler. But I bet privately and I don't tell my friends about it unless we're following the same sports and betting as well. And when I bet big, I will never tell my friends, family, relatives, or anyone about it. So it is the same when I win big, I also keep it private. Sometimes I treat myself from my own winnings. Sometimes I also treat my friends, relatives, and family but I won't tell them that I won in gambling. Not that they are against gambling because they don't care but it's just that I keep it private.

There were people I lured into online gambling most especially in sports betting. It's because I told them that odds are better than p2p gambling. Online gambling are less hassle and they can keep it private especially if they win big. No one will ask for commissions or treats on successful bets.

Keep it discreet and no one will ever know what you are doing in private, online gambling is the best way if you dn't want to share your gambling activities, both losing or winning no one will know it unless you share some information about the activities that you are attached, I like the idea of treating yourself or your friends each time you win from your gambling, it's important that you are enjoying and you are compensating yourself with some treats that you earned from your gambling.

Keep in mind that it's your money that you are using and if you lose nothing will be affected much, aside from your own pocket.

When you win, it's you to decide if you want to share or you want the money to enjoy, that's the reality inside this business.

I do gamble anonymously thus I don't reveal my massive winnings to anyone in a bid to lure them into gambling though I will feel elated after winning a huge bet atimes I do giveaway to some of my friends but I never disclose the source of the money, of course I do discuss some soccer tips with my colleagues in my place of work in a bid to analyze some soccer matches and later bet anonymously before the commencement of the match thus I don't disclose my gambling activities to anybody, I am afraid after luring anyone of them to gambling probably after revealing my winnings they might be addicted to it and might cause some financial problems to them.

There is no story and technique behind gambling either its a good day and good luck , yes do share your victory with your friends and tell them about how to do this but at the end don't forget to mention that it's only good luck. Never compare your scenario with someone else's scenario.

In my area my friends know me as an updated gambler because I follow up with sport betting  almost every week ..

I forecast games for most people that ask me to but I normally tell them it's not a guarantee that after I select games for you,  you will actually win on your first time and most people are OK with it

Most  of my friends that are into gambling today where influence by my heavy win because anytime I have a big one I do share my success stories to them

But you know in gambling your losses are far more greater than your winnings so that's what I tell everyone of my friends that want to involve because of my winnings..

I normally tell them that "all that glitters is not gold" so if you are up for it I can put you through

And most people normally end up telling me that am evil to show them this kind of stuff  Grin Grin Cool

I'm done with all of encouraging and luring people into gambling and other risk taking activities. I've been blamed a couple of times and I didn't felt good when that happened.
Yes that is the point. That's why I don't suggest or tell any story of my big win to those who don't do gambling. I have many examples in my life they always blame and say I just started gambling due to your story.

By the way. I share with those who already in this field and earning much better than me. This is much preferable than above.

I didn't tell to anyone if I win big. And don't be excited much because this is the part of life. And if loose I didn't get sad much. If effect little bit but not much.

And I don't tell to anyone because if they enter and lose they can blame to me.
That's also what I'm scared about.

If someone is enticed because of my shared stories to them, I'm feeling much obliged of giving them a warning and it's like they're my cargo which shouldn't be.

You've done your best not to tell anyone if you won big because that could make them tempted to follow you and there's a good chance they'll ask what they should do before starting to bet. This will also tempt them to place bigger bets because they see the amount of winning money you get so they will want to get it too. But if they lose, they might blame you because you showed them your winnings when you didn't mean to tease them. We'd better keep it to ourselves because we don't know how strong they are in holding themselves back from being tempted to see the winning money we get.

I just play gambling on my own actually at the very first thing it is really doubt to play gambling because I know how does money really important to me to my daily needs and I don't have a guts before to play gambling because I know I'm not lucky with these games but once I tried playing and give me a good shot that's the time I treat my self and friends with this winnings even though it is just a small amount of winning not like a hundred thousand dollars still it is a winning to celebrate and enjoy, but of course I didn't play again that time because I know not all the time gambling can give me a huge amount of winnings.

You own the pen
I saw a movie where they intendedly to make someone win in public to promote their gambling games because that's how it is when people see that there's a high winning percentage, people will flock to try it and some of them will remain until he lost all of his money from it. I mean if we look at how the advertisement all around on Television and Social media, we see that they always advertise good things to promote their business even though it has dark secrets. No one will advertise its dark side and that's how it works in gambling as well we are lucky to have some people that are willing to share their stories about their losses for us to take some heed and lessons as well.

I'm a person who doesn't really like to share my winnings on social media or people around me, honestly because I don't want them to know I'm gambling and win big even though they actually know I'm gambling, I like to celebrate every gambling win to my friends but never told them that it was the result of winning gambling but from my salary bonus, I don't want my friends to play gambling and make them uncontrollable spending their money in the casino, so that's the reason I hide it as an ordinary gambler who just just looking for fun, not looking for big wins

1.I don't have any big winnings out of gambling and sports betting. I bet mostly small amounts at low risk bets.
2.Even if I had big gambling winnings, I would never brag about my winnings. I just hate bragging in general. Maybe I'm superstitious and I think that bragging would make my luck go away. Even if you win big, you have to stay humble.
3.I wouldn't recommend gambling to anyone in my social circle. I don't know which person might fall down into gambling addiction. Some people simply don't have a high level of self-control. I don't want to blame myself for influencing other people into losing their money.

I don't know what winning big in your context implies but to me, anything above my previous winning is big and most times worth celebrating.
There are times I make a win of over $300 and that's usually a big win  for me.
I have predicted a game that turned out over $450 and that has been my highest win at a time but it was for a brother and I was rewarded with about $50 but I was so happy because I was the brain behind that very success, that very sucess lured alot of people to me who also wanted me predict for them and I started getting some commissions for every game I predicted and came out successfully to a win.

I could also remember a winning from my childhood friend that changed his life and that very winning was what got me into gambling till date and I can say I don't regret being in this space despite having some down times.

Yes, probably a number of people but I did that indirectly. I'm an honest person and when they ask me what I was doing on a given day I'm not going to lie to them. Sometimes my friends ask me about my games, what I'm betting on sports wise and I tell them. I had a few situations where people gave me some money to also bet on the same match and I did that. We won a few times, we lost some other times. I've never had problems with people losing with me. They knew that I was in the same situation.

I have to tell you though that it doesn't work with all people. Don't do it with work colleagues or your superiors. You don't want to mess with people you don't know well and people you depend on. I bet only with my good friends who know me and when I know they really want this.
I totally support your attitude to luring some one into gambling. Apart from telling people about all the risks associated with gambling, we should definitely not be engaged in any form of gambling with strangers, or people we know little about, like our work colleagues.
Support? I am not sure if it is a good attitude or not because, it was like you are looking for ways to bet for free and if you lose the money of others, it won't be that heavy for you because it wasn't your own hard earned money anyway but those people will not totally feel bad because they also want this to happen at the first place.

If you will tell the truth that gambling is a risky game and you don't want them to encourage gambling then that is a different story anymore. That is a commendable move but you shouldn't have shared your winning bets on them earlier if that is your intention. In my case, this never happened in me as I secretly gamble for some reasons.

For me i do not believe that gambling winnings lure anyone into gambling, what these big winnings does is that it gives people false hope, false believes that it could be them winning if they do not give up gambling; which in turns gives betting companies more money and more addicted gamblers.

Also, we must nurture the habit of staying away from gambling after having a winning; else you would lose all again

I'll tell you more. Emotions that a gambler experiences while winning or losing are very similar to those of a trader. Such emotions can change the perception of the environment and in this state it is very easy to make a mistake that will lead to serious losses.

That's why I support your point of view about taking a break from gambling as it will save you not only from reckless spending but also will save your health.
It is true the emotions a trader and a gambler can experiment are similar, however this should not be the case, when you are gambling the emotions should be embraced as we are gambling to have fun and to add a little bit of excitement to our lives, but when it comes to trading everything should be about what is the correct move you can make under the circumstances you are in, because if you let your emotions to take control of you during such a critical moment then it will be almost impossible to take the right decision and your capital will be at a high risk.
